The Moon Shell is a trophy found from Leviathans in the Jade Sea. Luxon folklore says that they both shine like the moon, and absorb its power. They are also used in making mirrors.

Farming

Gyala Hatchery (explorable area)

There are many Leviathans within the southern and western portion of the map. Since the Outcasts are hostile to other inhabitants, let them kill foes of no interest, except of course for the Leviathans you need to engage in order to obtain their drops. Careful pulling may be needed, as multiple mobs (including two Leviathan bosses) are close to each other.
