Talk:Bear Club for Women
20 sec build Any/Rt[edit]
The key is to circumvent the bears extreme armor and def skills by simply stealing his health. Here's the build that took me no more than 20 seconds to win the match:
Weapon of Remedy | "You Move Like a Dwarf!" | Ear Bite | Pain | Vampirism | Blank | Blank | Blank |
OwgiAyhMhtZTWK+N5DCAAAAAAA ChaosCom 00:55, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for this build. It took slightly longer as a Warrior, however ;).217.9.223.19 20:18, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. This worked wonderfully with my Dervish. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 41.13.204.240 (talk) at 08:58, 24 July 2020 (UTC).
Monk[edit]
how the hell is a monk supposed to be able to do this? - Y0_ich_halt 13:38, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

- Smiting Prayers say not enough damage. you really think i didn't try? - Y0_ich_halt 14:06, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- ah, finally, takes loads of time, though. - Y0_ich_halt 14:20, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

any/Rt[edit]
The Glacial Griffon setup worked fine for me:
Pain | Vampirism | Union | Shadowsong | Dissonance | Brutal Weapon | Restoration | Ursan Blessing |
Oghjwggr4S+gfTPOnNZOqTGbGlA for E/Rt. Actually a bit of overkill... Mirar 07:06, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I went in this quest as E/Mo, making use of this build
Bane Signet | Signet of Judgment | Healing Breeze | Retribution | Castigation Signet | Ear Bite | Signet of Infection | Pain Inverter |
It wasn't too hard to complete. For the template code, if you want to know how much attribute points per attribute: OgNDwbbOToEmEgE4DWfli1iylA.
Teleporting out of the ring[edit]
There's a small bug, such that the bear can, on occasion, escape through the border itself. Here's a screenshot for the proof. Still got him down, as you can get him stuck between the guards near the entry, but it's a bit of a pain either way. Cedave 09:29, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Need help...[edit]
I am a Necromancer/Any. I have Prophecies and Eye of the North. I need help coming up with a build to beat this blasted rabid bear. Can anyone give me any hints or ideas? Thanks... Passifis 14:42, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- the SS build above if you have time, just use healing breeze instead of restful. - Y0_ich_halt 15:54, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm a derv and I haven't found any way to do this. Any suggestions?
D/Rt build[edit]
Pain | Vampirism | "You Move Like a Dwarf!" | Avatar of Grenth | Eternal Aura | Pious Assault | Heart of Holy Flame | Faithful Intervention |
OgijAqpLrSfT+g2kwX9gSXjXlXA Cast the spirits in range of the bear before entering the arena, as well as Faithful Intervention and Avatar of Grenth. Do not cast Eternal Aura before having engaged the bear. YMLaD should interrupt its Troll Unguent and HoHF should be used before Pious Assault to cause deep wound and burning. I did this with +4 to Mysticism (headslot +1, sup rune +3), as well as Droknar's Edge, but any vampiric scythe will do. This build is especially good because it has no scythe attacks, and the life stealing will continue even after you switch to the Club of a Thousand Bears (weapon), as well as being able to use Pious Assault a final time if needed. My energy was 26, as I was wearing a survivor/vigor/vitae set.
Merge[edit]
I aggree... Quest is same with difference of who the quest giver is MrPaladin talk 17:30, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Except it is a different quest, as far as the game is concerned. Also, what would you propose calling the merged article? =/ ··· Danny Pew Pew 17:35, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Bear Club. Paddymew 08:25, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- But the quest names are Bear Club for Women and Bear Club for Men, tbh. ··· Danny Pew Pew 16:11, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Disagree with merge. They are two different quests, leave them as two different quests. Mystical Celestia 10:51, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Mesmer[edit]
Teleport out. Cast Lyssa's Aura. Keep up Illusion of Pain, interrupt troll unguent.
Ebon Escape | Illusion of Pain | Leech Signet | Cry of Pain | Web of Disruption | Lyssa's Aura | Blank | Blank |
Jafar 03:30, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- I added Summon Ruby Djinn for faster damage. Great build! Diseraph 09:43, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Ranger/Assassin[edit]
I managed to do this pretty easily using the teleport out of the ring technique. The only trick is swapping weapons and popping back in at the right time. I did it using the following,
Burning Arrow | Distracting Shot | Savage Shot | Screaming Shot | Poison Tip Signet | Viper's Defense | Death's Charge | Shadow Refuge |
Poison, bleeding and burning make short work of him :) Neon 03:46 3 Jan 2010 (GMT)
Ranger Rit[edit]
I did not have the Skill pool for the Any/Rt above, but it did provide a useful jump off; thankyou much, Here is the Template I used; OgglYFXZ2BqiKRXaTuL6ak5c28NVOB if you dont have the Skills you can probably get them easily. I did waste a good few hours on this one, as the Bear is Fire Proof, Arrow Proof, Swords Proof;

Para[edit]
Took forever.. couldn't be bothered getting rit rituals and stuff.. .so tried my own way, took like 2 mins but still worked
Insidious Parasite | Glowing Signet | Blazing Finale | "Dodge This!" | Focused Anger | Blank | Blank | Blank |
OQSjcwlIqS7BtYnYykpbAAAAAAA
Pretty much just burn/life steal him to death... burn also kinda counteracts his regen... just. Just takes a while. Use glowing signet for e-management since para's fail at energy when solo. 125.238.8.99 05:31, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Warrior/Rt Build[edit]
This took me countless tries to perfect, but I finally got it. Killing this goddamn bear requires interrupts out the ass for Warriors, who don't have enough energy to summon expensive spirits.

- I took the easy way out and just did it in one try with said expensive spirits. :\ I don't want to open GW to check the build, but I do like that you made your own build that works. Good job. :D –~=Ϛρѧякγ (τѧιк) ←♥– 04:46, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
E/Rt build brings bear down in about 2 mins[edit]
After hours of trying different builds, this one had the bear down in about 2 minutes. I could hold the club...and we didn't even get close.
Flare | Energy Blast | Dissonance | Pain | Vampirism | Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support | Glyph of Energy | Aura of Restoration |

W/Rt Takes a while[edit]
OQgjElTLoSXF/VaF7inilifTqTA It takes a while, just for some people who dont have many other NON-Warrior skills like me ^^
Bug[edit]
Just tryed to do the quest with my Rt. The main problem is that Olaf (my rt is a female) gave me the quest but not the Club of a Thousand Bears (the weapon). I had to move on one of my other chars to get the Club of a Thousand Bears from there to be able to do this quest. I didn't forgot that I got the Club of a Thousand Bears before cause I started 10 minutes ago with The Great Norn Alemoot. Abandoning and retaking the quest didn't fixed the problem. Thedukesd 18:27, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
- You don't get the club until you actually enter accept the request that moves you to the arena. If you already have a club in inventory or equipped, you won't get another one. HanokOdbrook 22:12, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
extra mapping during this quest[edit]
Jafar 18:34, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
- Also, a new page needs to be created for Varajar Fells (Bear Club) with a modified mob and NPC list. The area is an explorable area. It even has locked chests. It deserves a new page more than Tsumei Village (Winds of Change) did. Jafar 00:19, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
