I got a gold drop from The Desolation but it can't be dyed. Can anyone confirm this? - nian 21:48, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

I've yet to find a loot drop Frost Artifact which will dye, inherent or inscribable. I have found the following collector Frost Artifacts will dye...

20/20 from collector Pietro in Factions dyes, but not like the dye chart. Rather, yellow dye makes it look default.
20/20 from collector Hagnon Warblade in Prophecies dyes like the dye chart on this article.
30/+1 from collector Buk Dirayne in Factions dyes, but not like the dye chart. Rather, yellow dye makes it look default.
