Absolutely LOVE the reference to Jack Bauer! :D --Santax (talk · contribs) 08:54, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

LMAO! It was only a matter of time xD Cirian 12:53, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

give me his armor. ПALANA 00:28, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Does no-one think his smart red uniform could be in reference to those worn by the Spanish Inquisition (who nobody expects)? Chilari 18:45, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

It's a recycled model, so it's probably just coincidence. Ask Emily or someone if you want to be sure. –Jette 18:51, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

not having much luck getting this guy to spawn, do you have to trigger any other events or anything like that or just keep respawning till he appears? :S 92.234.198.46 11:26, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

I left from Gates of Kryta - nothing. Decided to travel from Nebo into Scoundrel's Rise and sure enough the spawn was there at the entrance to the outpost. --Falaria talk User Falaria Falspider sig.png 15:56, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
I do find it funny, albeit coincidental, that he is level 24 in NM. --Riddle 23:28, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

I guess he likes to Gaze at you[edit]

Staring contest anyone?--BobbyT User Talk: BobbyT 22:05, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Have to admit, that's kind of creepy... --- Ness Hrin User Ness Hrin SBIcon.png | 00:39, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

And a staring match ensues...a staring match of silent restraint. - Wizard People, Dear Reader- Chapter 26 (Youtube that) --Bsweany 03:34, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

His eyes also have a bit of a snake look to them, at least they do in my opinion. -- Konig/talk 19:19, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Anyone tried bringing minions? He could have another skill. Backsword 14:39, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
I had Sabway with me, killed him last. None of the minions went rogue as far as I can tell. --- Ness Hrin User Ness Hrin SBIcon.png | 18:19, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
Edit: Just tried it again, specifically looking out for Verata's Gaze. No dice. He's just a pseudo-gazer now... --- Ness Hrin User Ness Hrin SBIcon.png | 19:30, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
Well he doesn't have Jaundiced Gaze or Gaze from Beyond, and that's ignoring the ele, monk, and monster-only gaze skills. -- Konig/talk 20:50, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Jack Bauer or Tizrah Bauer[edit]

I'm surprised no one thought it might be a reference to the ANet employee. 173.19.202.85

Well dialogue indicates that it's Jack Bauer, but with their history of naming NPC's after employees, it's probably both. --Valentein 07:22, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

'There isnt enough time!' 'Pull the damn trigger!'

text in north kryta province[edit]

just saw him in north kryta province "interrogating" farmer dirk, this is how it went

inquisitor bauer= ib farmer dirk=fd peacekeeper marksman = pm peacekeeper enforcer = pe

ib: DAMN IT, we don't have time for this! Tell me where the shining blade is hiding!

fd: I don't know anything! I'm just a simple hog farmer!

ib: You're going to tell me what i want to know. it's just a question of how much it's going to hurt you!

pm: careful boss, you can't keep killing all of our leads...

ib: dont't question my methods!

ib: That sure is a nice pig you have there. if you tell me what you know, I'll make sure nothing bad happens to him.

pm: ummm...boss?

ib: Don't interrupt me while I'm interrogating a suspect!

pm: but...don't those guys over there look kind of familiar?

ib: I don't have time to follow your ignorant hunches, I'm a professional!

pm: Uhh...OK, you're the boss...

ib: Do you see this pine cone? DO you know what i could do to you with this pine cone?

pe: mmmmphy eees ellphin ehh ruuuph.

ib: What? I can't understand a word you are saying! Why dont you take that stupid thing out of your mouth!?

pm: He said "Maybe he's telling the truth." He has a point...maybe this farmer doesn't know anything.

ib: Impossible! Look, farmer, tell me what you know or things are going to start getting messy!

fd: Fine, fine...the shining blade is hiding in...umm...

ib: Out with it! We're running out of time!

fd: They're in scoundrel's rise! Yea, that's it! I mean...where else would scoundrels like them be.

ib I'm going to nebo terrance to gather my "interrogation supplies" so I can be the first to reach the traitor's camp.

ib: I need to get there with haste! I don't like my suspects pre-beaten when i start my work!

pm: so, what do you people know about the shining blade?

(player): The shining what? Never heard of them.

pe: mrrrrmph ummmph huphin braaph?

pm: I agree, my hulking accomplice. Perhaps we should jog their memory.

and then they attack lol....and if you take to farmer dirk after its over he says

Well that was the strangest experience of my life. I just hope that guy doesn't show back up when he realizes scoundrel's rise is full of nothing but skales and mergoyles!AurenX 01:00, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

DIFFERENT BAR YO[edit]

idk all the skills but he was a Jade Cloak boss guy and he had Weaken Knees We're running out of time(something like that, couldnt get full description of what is did) n some para skillz69.107.74.43 03:09, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

battle went sorta fast and i wasn't focusing on it69.107.74.43 03:09, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

I was just about to post the same thing. Does anybody know that Shout? I remember the description. "(20 Seconds) All creatures within earshot move, attack, and activate skills 100% faster." I thought my game was screwing up because everyone was flying around like some sort of benny hill sketch. Lol. I tried to go back to get a screenie of the skill but he doesn't spawn. Uriel Wolfblood
Even stranger, it affects both allies and enemies. I was quite baffled for a moment when my Summon Mursaat skill went off instantaneously. Scutilla 03:39, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
It's called "There's not enough time!!", I couldn't stop laughing at the name. +1 to ANet. --Santax (talk · contribs) 06:27, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Ravenous Gaze version[edit]

Does the Ravenous Gaze version still exist somewhere? He's listed as appearing in NKP too, but there's no map for it, and I never met him before the Wanted quest. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 13:34, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

He's at Farmer Dirk in NPK, and you have to see that one before you can see the Scoundrel's Rise encounter. Yes it does exist, but you can only see it once. -- Konig/talk 02:43, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I've visited Farmer Dirk (after getting the Inquisitor Wanted quests) and fought Inquisitor Lashona, but I don't remember seeing Bauer there. What I'm really trying to figure out here is if Ravenous Gaze is a valid entry for this list, as someone removed it. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 03:13, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
In those encounters, he could not die. Therefore, the elite couldn't be capped from him. It was rightly removed. --- Ness Hrin User Ness Hrin SBIcon.png | 03:21, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 03:33, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
