About me[edit]
Occasionally Asked Questions[edit]
Q. Why are all your characters female?
A. Simply because I have to look at them a lot, and I prefer their appearance to the male characters.
Q. Where do you get the names for your characters?
A. The place names are all taken from the Lyonesse trilogy by Jack Vance.
Q. What other games do you play, apart from Guild Wars?
A. I rarely play any other games these days, as I find that Guild Wars is hungry for all the PC gaming time I have available. I used to play Real-Time Strategy games but found these lacking in depth, with the exception of the Total War games, all of which I own and have played for years until there was nothing left to kill.
Q. What is it that keeps you coming back to Guild Wars?
A. The size and depth of the gameworld, the ease of use and playability of the interface, the personalisation of the characters, and the emphasis on co-operative gameplay. The last point is most important to me. I've spent many hours on single player 'me vs AI' games, which you either win because the AI is stupid and predictable, or lose because the AI can process faster than you. Human vs Human games generally lack interest for me because they tend to be won by the player with most experience and practice. Co-operative gameplay really is the best, and very few good computer games of this nature exist.
My Characters[edit]

Charlotte of Dahaut[edit]
|
Laura of Troicinet[edit]
|
Level 20 Ascended Tyrian
Protector of Cantha
Legendary Spearmarshal (10)
Devourer of Wisdom (4)
Laura dislikes strenuous exercise and spends most of her time with her head in a book. Fascinated by magical objects, she hoards and studies them intently. She recently published a light-hearted look at the world of Mesmering: 'The Good Hex Guide'. She wears glasses for reading, drinks herbal tea and lives alone with her large black cat.

Ciara of Blaloc[edit]
|
Level 20 Ascended Tyrian
Protector of Tyria
Shadow Agent (5)
Ciara shot to fame when she soloed the Prophecies campaign up to Lion's Arch. But, her career peaked early and like many teen prodigies, she descended into a spiral of Dwarven Ale and Absinthe. Bored and disillusioned, Ciara made a new start when she joined the Ebon Vanguard, who are helping her fight her addiction. "It's great," she comments, "I turn Charr into bone horrors all day and get paid for it!"

Penelope of Ulfland[edit]
|
Level 20 Ascended Tyrian
Protector of Elona
Penelope's friends are mainly animals. Her progress through the campaigns was rather slow, as she stopped on the way to plant trees, and comfort every hurt little creature she found at the roadside. Penelope often speaks of Nightfall as "A catastrophe for the environment which, luckily, I prevented."

Jodhi of Mermeil[edit]
|
Level 20 Ascended Canthan
Jodhi was born of curiosity around the world of Monks. Devout and patient, she prayed ten months in Shing Jea Monastery, while muling for her busy 'friends' (see other boxes). Expanded storage gave her a new lease of life, until an horrific accident left her with only 55 health... which has limited her scope somewhat.

Tamsin of Lyonesse[edit]
|
Level 20 Ascended Tyrian
Legendary Survivor
Protector of Tyria and Cantha
Tyrian & Canthan Elite Skill Hunter
Kind of a big deal (1)
She is seen by friends and enemies alike as arrogant and aloof. Her detractors assume Tamsin spends her day in front of the mirror; but in secret she is mastering the elite skills of all professions. Her aim in life is to become "more powerful than you can possibly imagine." Hates children and talks posh.
