  • Because this is not a spell, this will not count toward the 10-spell limit on Glyph of Elemental Power, but will still get the stat boost.
  • Good synergy with skills that require a foe to be knocked down, like Aftershock, Falling Spider, and Awe.
  • Frequently used by melee characters for a couple of reasons:
    • The touch range of this skill is not an issue as they generally fight in melee range anyway.
    • Warriors can extend the knockdown by 1 second using a Stonefist Insignia.
    • Assassins use several dagger attacks requiring a knocked-down foe.
    • The low energy cost is adapted to the small energy pool and overcast isn't a problem for melee characters relying on Adrenaline.
    • The knockdown prevents enemies from kiting.
    • The knockdown can be achieved at 0 Air Magic.
    • Being a touch skill, it can be used while blinded or affected by anti-melee hexes such as Ineptitude.
