- Gaging from the website link, this looks likes its going to be pretty big and important. I really like the website and the 'blog' by the way.Tong2 12:31, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Southeast of Beetletun in Nebo, there is a Peacekeeper "camp" full of them. I recommend bringing someone else because the level 12 henchmen won't cut it. 3 bosses, don't know if they drop anything. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 22:47, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Bug?[edit]
After the court trial thingy is done, you don't get zoned back to town/anywhere. You're just stuck in the instance with no way to leave other than mapping out or logging off. Was this intended? --Strong Like Magikarp 04:46, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

- I presume this is a bug with Chark. He lacks dialogue there, and it is usually the same NPC who does it.Backsword 05:31, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

- I think the point would be that upper level PvP would contain a whole lot more than what it does if the mistakes were never made, or at least fixed on time (< 1-2 years, as it normally takes Anet that long to fix things). -- Tha Reckoning 19:17, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

- You should try rereading what I said, and maybe taking some of it in this time. -- Tha Reckoning 22:39, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- @Tha Reckoning: And you should try thinking about others. I don't want constant skill balances, I want some new content mixed in with it, and I am sure others agree. Think of it this way, I feel the same way about most skill updates as you do about content updates. It's been nearly a year since anything significant has been added to the game, and I want more things to do, not change the way I have to do things I have been doing for years. All I really have to add to things said previously is to just suck it up until they do the next update (after the birthday stuff) and stop trying to piss off everyone else just because you aren't happy. We get it. We know you aren't happy, but if the game is so terribly unbalanced, try a different game until a balance update is released, read a book, or maybe go for a walk. All you are doing is ruining the experience for everyone else. --Kairu 23:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

- Most of them are listed in the bug reports and the users rant pages. Those pages were created because when asked "What are these said \"problems?\"" you had a 512 << 10 bytes page long in no time. Yseron - 86.209.70.193 21:05, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Peacekeepers[edit]
The Cursed Lands is packed with Peacekeepers, and not so friendly ;p 76.164.111.57 07:05, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- And with changing skill bars. So far I have seen firebrands with Mind Blast, Searing Flames or Elemental Attunement. Also, was Signet of Disenchanted by a inoffensive-looking warrior (with several Adrenaline skills, that is). 90.37.68.32 09:37, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
While the Shining Blade changes sound promising, I was a bit disappointed by Zinn's trial. It may lead to quests later, but during the trial itself we had nothing to do ! I expected a "Trial by Fire" kind of thing, where we would have to answer questions... Oh well, guess I'll wait for 5th anniversary now^^ 213.166.199.16 11:08, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Watchtower coast has hordes of them near the coastline, the larger mobs and bosses are actually pretty challenging. So glad I have all of kryta vanquished on all my characters. I wonder if this is what happened to all the left out builds submitted to the NPC contest a while ago. 184.60.24.160 15:54, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Please stop[edit]
I understand referencing stuff is funny, but the Trial of Zinn was retarded. This is Guild Wars not You Tube and I'm sure everyone here disagrees with me but I was pissed going into it expecting something serious and finding nothing but a comedy routine. G.O.X's dialogue makes no sense and ruins the scene. All the references that have been overused everywhere since the dawn of time certainly didn't help. It was seriously just one big homage to whatever the hell you felt like and I'm troubled that you used the resources for something like this. Just embed a youtube player in the game and put all of your funniest lol-references on loop next time, it will get more done. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 22:56, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- I am sure the trial will have a rather important impact on the 5th-year anniversary/lore-line . Just be calm, relax and hope for the best. If I recall correctly, at the end of the trial Zinn states he will "get his revenge". I, for one, am looking forward to more. Just be patiant and let's see where this goes. :) --Strong Like Magikarp 23:24, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- I kinda agree - too many references-for-references'-sake just puts a damper on the storyline and the tension behind it. -- pling 23:26, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- As far as references go, i missed a "You can't handle the truth!" line in one part of the dialogue.--Fighterdoken 23:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Whichever of the mouse-like midgets was on trial said he wouldn't fall for the taunt of the accuser, making him loose his cool and say stuff like ripping someone's eyeballs out and doing indecent stuff thereafter. BlazeRick 00:10, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I'd have to agree. I had the feeling that someone just wanted to have fun while scripting this scene. It was lighthearted and was done without the intent to ruin someone's experience. But when things are placed repeatedly shoved into a scene without causation, the group of references as a whole lose their throwback value. Additional content is ALWAYS appreciated, though. This scene is no exception. --Curin Derwin 00:59, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sometimes I'm terribly glad I lack culture... I didn't get any single reference during the trial, so no rage here ^o^ But seeing what other people said, it does seem Anet overdid it this time^^ 213.166.199.16 07:54, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

Wait, people still care what happens in gws pve?--TahiriVeila 00:17, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- That comment was cute, but ill-placed. I seem to recall this thing called "Shadow Form" that bothered a large number of people a while back. Along with that, there seems to be a lack of the entire Guild Wars community on here complaining about PvP gimmicks and the lack of updates for them. For what it's worth, you've made a fine troll. --Curin Derwin 00:55, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
The whole point of the trial was so that Zinn would be banished and go to Kryta. Hasrah hints this. --Ian8766 01:12, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. I'm quite glad that Guild Wars found its sense of humor in Factions, and while I enjoyed this little scene, I would have preferred it every single line wasn't bent towards humor value. Manifold 03:18, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

- There is an everincreasing amount of referencing going on in GW. Skill names, quest descriptions, bosses...you name it, Anet has put some kind of reference in it. Apparently, Emily likes it very much. I think it only distracts from GW's lore. All those 'witty' references are just too much for me, I don't even know half of them, because I am not American, and don't watch every soapopera that's on tv. In my opinion, GW would be much better if it referenced itself, or started using new names for NPC's and the like, instead of kicking GW lore in the nuts by using a scrambled name of a rl celebrity. So no, Aliceandsven, not everyone disagrees with you. -- Arduin 19:25, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- If you don't even get the references, how do you even know they're there to complain about them? It has honestly never bothered me, if I get it I find it amusing and move on, if I don't I obliviously continue on my merry way. 122.148.39.152 19:34, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- For instance in the Trial of Zinn, lots of the dialog is written in such an unlike-GW-manner, I know there has to be some reference in it. Take Denn and Krayn, one NPC with a double name? It's weird to me. Just looking at the Trivia on that page tells me nearly half of the dialog is ripped from somewhere else. So what impact does this quest have on Zinn's lore and his rampaging Golems if the trial is a farce in itself? -- Arduin 19:45, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with aliceandsven and Arduin.
- Plus, since i didn't know any of the references, i was like: "WTF is this circus?!" when i saw this trial... - J.P.Talk 19:55, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I only know it are references because I saw it on wiki. I don't know them but I don't care that much. To be honest, I found the trial rather amusing. -- Cyan 20:02, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Amusing, sure. Appropriate, no. It was fine for April Fool's but now it's starting to encroach on serious lore-related content. They're not even trying to be clever or truly funny with it, it's just reference after reference slopped onto the scene. Whether or not you got the references, it's a mess. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 20:20, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Arduin, to address your question, there is still some "progress" that the scene made story-wise. We don't know if Zinn purposefully tried to assassinate everyone or not, but we know that Oola conspired to have him banished and succeeded. We also know that calling the Asura a highly intelligent race is laughable. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 20:24, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

tl;dr - Lighten up. Anet has a sense of humor (and always has) in the game, and it adds character to what's going on. And the scene obviously places Zinn in Kryta for future events. Good lord, just calm down and enjoy it. Karate Jesus 20:28, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

- I side with KJ: please don't care too much and just enjoy it. Im glad Anet keeps adding some humor, that make thing a lot more 'alive' =) -- Cyan 20:32, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- You like them, good for you. Personally, it screamed too much of another peoples work. Nice to see Arenanet keeping that trend. 203.118.171.134 20:36, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

- I don't get the 'it adds character to what's going on'. To me it breaks down the character of GW by the extensive use of external dialogs. -- Arduin 21:20, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ah well, Linsey says the Trial is freaking awesome. Good to know the devs are thinking alike. -- Arduin 21:35, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Keep in mind that none of the members on the Live team wrote the original Guild Wars lore, so you can hardly expect them to care about it. elix Omni 21:51, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

- GW's lore content should be reference-free. Anything with a lot of references is just not funny enough to make up for how distracting it is. Example. Idmz 03:24, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- I fail to see a distraction. In fact I'm more apt to remember that there was a trial for Intruder Zinn, because I have multiple connections I can make to the "event". That's just me though, perhaps some people will forget there was a "trial" because they were distracted by references to other mostly made up tid-bits. Personally, I feel people who would actually be distracted by some of these rather humorous references aren't bothered. At the same time, I'm betting the people who are saying that the references are distracting are simply annoyed, because they feel ANet employees aren't taking "the lore" (story) seriously. I get that people are really into the story of GW, but seriously... y'all might want to loosen up a little. It's not like the whole point of Oola and Zinn hating each other wasn't pointed out, or that details that Zinn didn't have a fair "trial" are lacking, or that Zinn getting banished is left out. What's there is there. People will take what they want out of it, it's just a story and just some cultural humor. Sorry about the soapbox. Be as you are.76.181.167.16 07:22, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Alice, You know I think your awesome. Really. But your wrong on this one. People have been dying for new content for ages and while the storyline implemented here might be stupid (100% agree), there are a bunch of new enemies that seem to have cohesive builds now. Brand new challenges to fight. Grab your sin and go start fcukin em up. :D --Master Briar 08:56, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- @ Alice/Sven, try not to make huge future plans regarding quests and uber-leet-storyline expansion, go with the flow so you don't get hurt when you faceplant if something isn't as you expected it. For one, I really liked the little trial, with all its pop culture references, with its 2in1 NPC and with its Large Hydra Collider. Smell some flowers and watch some birds, it's not much but try to enjoy the little things! "Please Don't Stop" Markus Clouser 10:51, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- The only problem I have is the manner in which the trial was handled by the devs. I like the fact we got new stuff and I'm not expecting anything uber-leet, I've never really expected anything like that. Also note I have nothing against references, until they become like this; painfully nonsensical. You have to admit that things like the "dhuum song" and "intruder zinn" made absolutely no sense and had no importance to the plot other than the fact that it was a funnie for Invader Zim fans. I mean, really, G.O.X is singing a song about Dhuum in the middle of a trial against Zinn who purportedly attempted to assassinate the Krytan Princess. Maybe anet should just forget the whole War in Kryta thing and have Barney be the Mursaat Overlord if they feel that going in this direction is "freaking awesome". - I disagree with people saying it wasn't following the lore of the game. If you pay attention to the Asura during Eotn, almost all the important Asura were involved crazy arguments and squabbling. It wouldn't actually be out of character for the Asura for the trial to be the way it was.(marsc 10:44, 13 April 2010 (UTC))

Issues...[edit]
I was able to view the Salma and the Scout... and the one outside ToA... but the last two parts I can not see at all... In fact, the one in Watchtower has all the Peacekeepers walking around... but nothing... - SabreWolf 07:27, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Same here. I just ran outside of Beelteton and found the farmer that the update notes page said would be talking to an Enforcer and he's alone (98.179.8.157 12:13, 11 April 2010 (UTC))
- Same happened for me the first two times i tried, the third time i ignored all the monsters and rushed to the farmer, and was able to get the scene.68.193.46.141 16:56, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- I had some problems too with the 3rd dialogue. I went with a friend and everything was OK after that. Markus Clouser 18:43, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- I went with 3 heroes and fought my way past the peacekeepers, and the "friendly" peacekeepers started walking there by the time I did. Taros 20:47, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Guess I'll Have to keep pluging away at it... to bad I can't try again till Wednesday at best... - SabreWolf 01:13, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Point?[edit]
Is there any point to this at all? i.e. like any special item's, new titles, etc.. or is it all just for the purpose of more GW eye candy?
- 5th anniversary is coming up. Give yourself a little hope and assume it has something to do with that. and sign your posts please. --Master Briar 22:05, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Content Tracking[edit]
Is there anything else aside from the three encounters listed on this page? The war-news thing is mentioning new stuff happening but I was at Bergen today and didn't see anything new, inside or outside. And how about this new "reward for reporting heresy?"
