Headmaster Amara is a Kurzick from the Stone Forest and the monk headmaster of Shing Jea Monastery. She is a woman of strong opinions and disapproves of Master Togo's station in the monastery. She also appears to have talents in the field of prophecy, having foreseen that "a sickness will come to Cantha soon. A plague that will turn even the meek into raging monsters that kill everything they see". It is said that Headmaster Amara is never wrong with her prophecies. As a profession trainer, she helps monk students prepare for the world of Cantha.

Dialogue[edit]
In Shing Jea Monastery, if your character is Canthan and a Monk:
- "Excellent, another budding Monk in our midst. I am Headmaster Amara, and I will oversee your studies in the ways of light. Being a Monk isn't all about healing, though not everyone would not agree with me there. Never fear: with the assistance of Sister Tai and Brother Pe Wan, you will come to see the light yourself."
In Shing Jea Monastery, if your character is Canthan but not a Monk:
- "Welcome, young student. I see that your current field of study has taken you away from the light, so I am not your headmaster."
In Shing Jea Monastery, if your character is foreign:
- "I am afraid I cannot help you. You are not a student here. And do not bother trying to become one... that honor is reserved for Canthans."
In Altrumm Ruins:
- "This plague has defied all our efforts to cure it. I pray daily that Dwayna will show me something I've missed, but she remains silent. I have seen no signs that things will get better...no signs of any kind, really...."
