Now 5,000 faction[edit]

Well shit, price value multiply by 5 now? Also, no moar money making in getting faction...How come this wasn't included in the update news anywai.--Ʀєʟʟɑ 00:30, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Nevermind, it was included.--Ʀєʟʟɑ 00:31, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Luckily I stacked 130 of these things before the update...but since now getting factions is way easier, I dont if they are gonna change the price when buying from a trader or for selling to players.--ShadowFog 04:59, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
I got 40ish, gonna wait a while before I sell them back.-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 05:05, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
There is absolutely no point in ever getting this as a faction reward anymore. -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 04:20, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

I like some Luxon armors. —Jette User Jette awesome.png 02:23, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
The point is 5k factions gets you 5 scrolls or 1 shard. Five scrolls is 500g to merch (and can be gotten from either side), while one shard is 410-450g to buy from the trader (less from players, haven't checked the trader in a bit, though). It's like a choice between a free cup of coffee or getting your car stolen. -~=Sparky User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (talk) 02:41, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Wish amber was down to 410-450.... personn5User Personn5 sig.jpg 02:45, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

I find this to be wierd.[edit]

So why do they fight over jade when they have a whole sea of it? илья 06:04, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Lol I agree. Ðαrĸ Яεvəηςєr User Dark Revenger Sign.png 11:20, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

same reason why kurz fight over amber when they have fossilized trees full of it - if u dont know what amber is research it

for those who cant be arsed to research - its fossilized tree sap

They all just want...more. They want more of what they believe belongs to them and that's their downfall. 71.194.87.164 20:32, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
I always thought of it as the Luxons and Kurzicks needing more than just the surface level stuff. They have to find the good deposits of Jadeite and Amber, which tends to require mining operations. Stel 23:07, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

no stock?[edit]

when Nick was collecting Amber the price went up above 1k at the rare materials trader, this week he's collecting Jade, which is not available at the trader. I.e it's not even on the list of materials. Does this mean it's sold out? Or have ANet temporarily disabled trading with the trader to avoid the price spike? Csquirrelrun 04:59, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

It means they are sold out for now. There won't be any more available unless someone sells some back, or I think if you wait long enough some more are added automatically anyway. This isn't the first time the traders have sold out of a material because of Nick. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 05:01, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
