Pet unlock pack

A... pet unlock pack? Well, I admit that it'll be nice to have more than an Elder Wolf available in PvP. --Gah User Gah My Name Cant Fi Echomending.jpg Eat my uber regen. 18:24, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Heroes able to place in their pets?

Are heroes able to place in their pets that they have also acquired? Thanks for reading and hopefully responding!

Yes they can, just bring them in with you along with them havig charm animal equipped, and talk to the same person. The pet will be unlocked just as if it was your own - jumpboy88

Black Moa

I've just realised, this will finally allow us to get the other evolutions/tiers of the Black Moa rather than having to have an elder one.(marsc 21:11, 12 April 2009 (UTC))

Though there seems to be a problem with not being able to unlock tier 7 for the Black Moa...
  1. Tier 6: Any unevolved or Elder pet from level 20
  2. Tier 7: Any evolved pet from level 20
--Arduinna talk 22:18, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
You can unlock tiers with Zoins. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 22:50, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

pets of heroes

Any news about pets of heroes? Can their pets be put in the menagerie? Can heroes charm pets in the menagerie? T.T.H. 11:28, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

From what I've heard, both are yes. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 06:23, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Yes, your Hero's can put their pets in the menagerie and you can charm them later (Or another Hero). I did this last night with a friend of mine. Got my Black Widow ^_^ Healing Paradox 00:14, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

PvE?

Did I read this right? "Pets you unlock on one PvE character will be available to your other PvE and PvP characters"

Does this mean I can acquire pets for me PvE characters here to use in PvE? Is it just speculation, or has it been confirmed. My original impression was the menagerie just allowed PvP characters a chance to use something other then the Elder Wolf.--Ryan Galen 17:04, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

OMG It's Pokemon

Well time to catch them all guys, and hand them over to Professor Oak himself. I'll be the first one to catch em all and get the amazing reward for filling up my pokedex. Can't wait to see my Pokemon Master title. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Frybringer (talk).

Pokemon jokes aside, I do expect obsessive compulsive collecting to abound from this upgrade. [censored], I'll be out there trying to collect them all. It will actually justify me building Pyre as a beastmaster. Doubt there will be a title though. There should be, since it is an accomplishment you should have the chance to show off, and only a title can really do that since people only you and your heroes can enter your menagerie. But they're worried about upsetting the balance of Favor of the Gods and Maxed Title Track. Maybe they'll add it as an accomplishment eventually, so we can display it in our Honor Monument without upsetting the title balance.--Ryan Galen 22:02, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Death Leveling!?

HOLY COW! If we can bring Charm Animal to the Menagerie, then if we get to a tier 6 pet for instance, maybe we can do death leveling for a pet from tier 5 to tier 7! --Warnlord 01:45, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

It would be faster to level a Hearty pet to level 20 and use it to unlock the level 20 Dire and Elder versiosn. The only advantage of death leveling will be that it can be done while AFK. -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:28, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Ok, how exactly are you Death Leveling in here? are you using your pet to attack the other summond ones while oyu go afk? cause if you die you head back to outpost.--Patch 20:47, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
I haven't actually death-leveled in here yet (but will try). The reason i believe it works is because when i first had my black moa here, and i clicked charm animal, it started attacking me, so i'm think okay, if it can atk me, it MUST be able to kill me and get exp. To the ppl who say when i die i go back to outpost, i have heroes with me who have reusable reses. Btw, look at the notes in the page, it says: "A pet in the Menagerie can be Death leveled to Dire and have all 7 tiers unlocked in the training yard or form its habitat in the menagerie. " --Warnlord 03:46, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Remember the "Your party was defeated" screen? You get one if you let the phoenix kill you in the HoM. HoM has no res shrine. Menagerie has no res shrine. Yeah... Hall of Monuments pets ?

Will pets in Monument of Fellowship be unlocked in Menagerie or we have to unlock and level them again ? Nikademo 10:00, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

No retroactivity. Info from the ingame chat. The game simply have not been storing that data earlier. Backsword 10:01, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Actually if the Black Widow Spider, Black Moa and the Phoenix are in your HoM then the game did store that data. In theory it would be possible to make it retroactive for those three animal companions, a "simple" check on your account to see if you have those statues would do it. But hey I don't know how difficult it would be to do that. Qaletaqa 01:48, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Pets

This might be a dumb question but, this place wont have any charmable animals in it until we start showing them to the tamer? If so, that's pretty cool. Pkohler01 18:58, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

That's exactly the concept of this place; you need to show them / unlock them with Balt etc. for them to show up

Yes, but all PvP chars start with an Elder Wolf as a pet, so that's a free tier 6 pet for your acc. :) Paddymew 16:09, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Pet tamer

Will these pets be "free to be charmed" once unlocked? If so, couldn't "re-charm-able" level 20 pets "affect" the economy, since they could be repeatedly given to Pet tamers for 100g? (ok... zone in, get pet, map travel to pve, map travel outpost with nearby pet tamer, zone out, talk to pet tamer npc, get money, map travel to pvp, map travel to menagerie, restart... would be a bit time-consuming, but free gold is still free). --NIN37 09:36, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

i think they already thought of that InfestedHydralisk 13:15, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
I'd be worries about bots doing it. But a human player could farm more than a 100g in the time it takes to do it. Backsword 16:25, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
The pets you Charm there are at lv.5 and it still costs you to have them trained to level 20 when you unlock that tier, unless it costs them less than 100g to train them to level 20 it shouldn't be a problem.(marsc 17:57, 20 April 2009 (UTC))
So how does this work? Do you have to "buy" evolved pets? If you unlock a dire/hearty phoenix, and all you can charm is a level 5, PvP players will be pissed, and PvE players get nothing out of this, other than not having to beat factions again to get the pet... So, do you have to pay extra to get a level 20 pet from the Menagerie? It might be 100g, negating the sell-back price. But if it's anything more than that, I'll be a little disappointed. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:24, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
From what the information says, you will be able charm level 5 pets in the menagerie and then you pay the NPCs(with gold or Balthasar faction or Zaishen coins) to level it up/have it evolve into Dire/Hearty/Elder.(marsc 19:36, 20 April 2009 (UTC))
Incorrect. The payment option is stated to be for unlocking new levels of pets that you don't already have. I'm guessing either you'll get charged 100g for a L20 pet as theorised above (which can be recuperated by selling it back) or the tamers will stop paying gold for L20 pets now that there's another incentive to level a pet all the way before switching. (As people have said, going to all this effort and only allowing L5 pets to be tamed is kinda... pointless. Most pets aren't THAT hard to get at L5.) Draxynnic 03:31, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Actually, Emryd the Tamer states that she will pay you for "pets caught in the wild". Pets spawned with [[Wynn [Zaishen Training Captain]]] probably won't work. Paddymew 16:11, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I tested that, and it doesn't work. --Cursed Angel Q.Q 18:28, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I got 1500g for "releasing" all my heroes' level 20 pets caught in the wild. She does not pay for turning it the pets from the Captain. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:33, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Emote Suggestions

Pointless discussion regarding features that will never be. "Legendary Beast Tamer" /petrank. The emote is a herd of a variety of tame-able animals (shimmery, transparent and shiny of course) rushing forward past the emote user then vanishing into more sparkles (think Chocobo Rush from Final Fantasy Tactics only a bit gentler). There needs to be more fun glittery things like /emotes or /dancenew that aren't extremely impossible to attain like /rank16 or whatever the Dragon is. 68.193.113.198

Same skin pets

is there a list for the pets that share the same skins? or should the curent list Charmable animal just have a note saying what skins are shared and thus not needed to be caped/unlocked again?75.165.119.187 01:42, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

I've added notes to the charmable animal article. -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:46, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

I would like to see a note about presearing pets especially the pre bear, i have one at lvl 15+ and it says "bear" when i show it but it appears to unlock the "black bear" here, are the pre and post bears the same skin? or is the black one blacker? I'll try to research this latter but I'm sure some one out there cares more about this than I do so I'll check back to see if more research has gone on. Skekzyz 13:50, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Presearing pets are the same as post. I turned in my Strider only to get a Moa Bird back. A Black bear is a Black bear, a Warthog is a Warthog, a Wolf is a Wolf, and the Strider just changes names to Moa Bird. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:35, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Unlock costs

I've gone through Helena's list, the following pets have non-standard costs:

  • 1 GZC + 100g / 20k faction - White Moa
  • 2 GZC + 100g / 20k faction - Jingle Bear
  • 3 GZC + 100g / 30k faction - Black Moa
  • 5 GZC + 100g / 50k faction - Black Widow, Moss Spider
  • 15 GZC + 100g / 80k faction - Rainbow Phoenix

I'm not sure about phoenixes, I already unlocked one before I noticed Helena's unlock dialogue option, the rest cost 1 Silver Zaishen Coin plus 100 gold or 1000 Balthazar Faction. -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 05:45, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

I tested it, before unlocking. It is the same as the Black Moa, that is 3 coins and so on. Backsword 13:16, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

rainbow phoenix bug?

when i added my lvl 5 rainbow phoenix to the menagerie another one spawned near the beach next to the entrance, while i had hero's with me. i didnt think of it as strange at the time becous i didnt know it wasnt supposed to spawn when you have hero's with u. i dont have a screen shot so i cant prove it and i cant try it again since i already added it to my account now, however, when i reentered after having read this wiki page (with hero's) it was gone, but i think this might actualy be a way to charm one on one of your hero's. even if it's just for once. if anyone could confirm this it would be nice, if noone can. ill just assume im going insane and im starting to see things or i was verry lucky/unlucky (for not charming it) :P Jap jum 16:10, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

no screens either, but i can confirm. when you show it to the tamer for the first time, one spawns on the beach and it's possible for you to cap it with a hero if you have one with you. this is only for the first time you show the tamer a rainbow pheonix. Saraphim Angel 21:15, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

I did not know about this article and I confirm it is actually possible to capture rainbow phoenix with a hero. I have just done it. It is lvl 5 and I now need to level it. I guess this is probably the only chance to capture a rainbow phoenix with a hero...
I can also confirm. l33tsauce. You could probably cap them on multiple heroes by repeating the process for each tier. --BlueNovember 02:30, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Linsey just said that this is a bug, and that they will be fixing it soon, they already figured out what's wrong. Use heroes with a rez, that kills you, when you're at 1 Max Health, and a rez that doesn't. Scrifice yourself to death in front of the engaged pet you want to level until you have 1 health (Use superior runes) and let the heroes do the work. Works just fine. Bernado
ill get the screens in shortly im nto good at uploading to wiki( o results: when lvled form agressive at r12 ro dire at r20 the eagle was charmable and when given to tamer unlocked Everythign inbtween 12 agresive and dire)--Lord randy taylor 08:00, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm currently death-levelling a jingle bear. It is indeed an easy and fast way to get ANY pet you just tamed unlocked at maximum tier. All you have to do is ask the trainer to summon a pet (unknown if it is possible at tier 1 : level 5). Attack it once and get your hp to 1 (sup's, grim chesta). A hero with BOTH a 100% rez (locked) and fast hard rezzes (mesmer + restore life + ressurect + ..) should be able to keep you rezzed at all times. Just let it sit there for half an hour or so and the pet will level to 20. Make sure it's out of your way when you rez yourself with the hard rez. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 21:58, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
[ADD:] Successfully brought it to level 20 in about 20 minutes. Make sure you have enough rezzes with you so it goes fast, that's all.--User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 22:24, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
He can only summon pets tier 2 and higher. Tier 1 pets that have been "released" can be found in their habitat instead. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 22:44, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
I just tested that. It does not attack at such a low level, so you need to find something that kills yourself once. I'm not entirely sure if this will award the pet experience but i think so. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 23:00, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Your theory works well. I just tested it on the lvl5 warthogs. I summoned a dire black moa to kill me in range of the warthog, and set up the hero to res me near the pen. The warthog still gets the experience and levels up quite nicely.--Pyron Sy 02:42, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
(res indent) Additional niceness: If you try to DL one of the roaming pets they will not attack you or your hero's. Of course it takes a bit longer. Probably also because the experience will be shared between the spawn (3 animals i think). --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 08:14, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Simplest death levelling (and fastest way of levelling pets anyway): getting a really low health armor (55, 105 or 130 HP), equip a vampiric weapon and set up in front of a hostile pet with three Unyielding Aura/Flesh of my Flesh heroes. From 5 to 20 in <25 minutes. Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 08:18, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Actually there is no need to rez yourself with any health at all. If you are at 1 hp and you use resurrect or restore life you are immediately dead. However I would suggest training at the training npc for large groups. Flamingo's have like 5 spawns and share the xp. At the training grounds only one animal will be agressive. Animals of other types don't share their xp though, so it's possible to combine those. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 17:15, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Just kill all but one of the animals. That should take care of splitting the xp.--Pyron Sy 18:24, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Nope.. at least not in the way I experienced. Also - levelling up multiple creatures doesn't always work. =/ --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 20:37, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Worked for me. I left one level 5 warthog alive, and it took just over 30 minutes to level it to a hearty level 20.--Pyron Sy 20:53, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
>My heroes (2 mesmers, 23 fc, ressurect & restore life) rez 10 times in 35 second. With 341.82 deaths to go that makes (341.82/10*35)/60 = 19.94 min from 5->20. Will death of heros give exp too? You could go 1 HP for yourself, 2 res-mes heros, and 1 saccer (or another 1 HP build). The res will come a little slower, but I think the pet will level faster overall. --8765 17:46, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

it works all the same, 1. go to wynn, have her bring out a pet with a higfher evoloution then 5, 2. leyt it beat you up(i made a pvp char and put sup runes on all his armor) note merely dieing in the pets presence will work it will NOT share exp between the neutral ones in the pen, also make sure you res bearer had FoMF or renewing touch( also bring charm animal incase they get pinned between the animal and food trough, if you bring in a monk make sure thye can tame it incase they get pinned and cant res you fully a skill like resurect will make this go faster, my hero Thalkora who reses me carries the following( Mending, resurect, charm animal, troll unguenet, and renewing touch) troll and mending are for her(note make sure you shift click to disable her using mending on you) renew life is for after its done, resurect is for during the death leveling procress.--Lord randy taylor 23:20, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Pets Charmed in Menagerie - Can it go in HoM?

I put my level 5 Rainbow Phoenix in the Menegerie, paid in Balth faction and leveled it up to 20. Charmed it as a dire level 20, and was unable to put it in my Hall of Monuments.

Is this just a bug, or can you not put pets you charm from the Menegerie into HoM? 173.71.90.198 00:10, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

There's no bug. You just can't put a rainbow phoenix in the Hall. Only a phoenix, black moa, and blackwidow spider will get a unique statue.--Pyron Sy 00:49, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I'm sorry. I looked at the Fellowship wiki page and saw the phoenix, I assumed it was a rainbow..totally forgot about the normal phoenix. Sorry. 173.71.90.198 01:22, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
wait did the animal companion monument not show up? because you should be able to cap a lvl 20 and have that statue show up. otherwise yes it dost get a special statue sadly.76.121.95.90 00:44, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

2 problems on this page

Zaishen article table problems.jpg 1. The Superscript 1 pushes the text down, making it not fit into the cell.
2. The unlock/upgrade costs make it look like you have to pay the Zcoins, gold, and Balthazar faction ALL TOGETHER for each unlock, and my understanding is that it's EITHER coins+gold OR faction. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 22:15, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
it looks perfect on my screen. in a related matter shouldn't we change the description to that of the zone or should we move that quote(the one at the top of the page from the website) over to the menagerie grounds it self?76.121.95.90 00:41, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
That's because it has been fixed. And this article could use some cleanup. Menagerie is just the outpost, and the Grounds is where all the "action" is. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 07:35, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
L2timestamp scrub. that was before you made your changes.76.121.95.90 18:25, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Split

This article tries to fit both information about the service/feature and the outpost, but it is confusing. I think we should document the NPCs and such separately from unlock costs, which aren't relevant to the outpost at all, since the NPC is in the grounds. I suggest that the outpost info is moved to "Zaishen Menagerie (outpost)" - anja talk 14:32, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Strongly Agree altrough, there is probaly a lot information that actually belongs in Zaishen Menagerie Grounds. ---- Alexanderpas Talk|Contrib|Guild 14:40, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
I agree with the split, but disagree with the page names. As Alex pointed out, it should be "Zaishen Menagerie Grounds" and "Zaishen Menagerie," the latter being the outpost. You can add the (outpost) tag to it. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:32, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
agreed with rose of Kali.76.121.95.90 19:22, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
The Zaishen Menagerie Grounds is the explorable and still not the service/feature, but a compromise would be to move the pet tier/unlock info there. I would still prefer three articles though. Zaishen Menagerie describing what you do and what it is, and the tiers. Zaishen Menagerie (outpost) to list NPCs, party size etc for the outpost, and Zaishen Menagerie Grounds to describe the NPCs and surroundings in the explorable. All three with clear links to eachother. - anja talk 20:08, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
OK, so I'm a little confused. There's Zaishen Menagerie, which is the outpost. Then Zaishen Menagerie Grounds which is the explorable. So there should also be a page on Zaishen Menagerie... services? Fees? Pet levels? Or has the split already been done? (in which case I'd recommend removing the Split tag from this page)
It seems like rather than splitting this page to make three pages on the menagerie, the info about the outpost can be on this page (renaming to 'Zaishen Menagerie (outpost)' if desired). The information on fees and such can be moved to the menagerie grounds page, which is where you'd be actually paying the fees and looking at pet tiers. The outpost itself doesn't have much information, so I can't see splitting the page as making any sense. Move the information relevant to the explorable to the explorable page. --Nkuvu User Nkuvu sig button.jpg 15:06, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Yea, I meant moving the information, at least it's a lot more relevant to the explorable. But I also think people will search for Zaishen Menagerie when they want to find out more details about the tiers and such, not the grounds. That's why I wanted three articles :) - anja talk 16:25, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, the third article would simply be misleading and inaccurate, as none of that information pertains to "Zaishen Menagerie" named as it is, which is the outpost only. Having a link to the Menagerie Grounds at the top of this article should suffice, and most people will learn that that's where the desired info is after the first time they read it. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 19:07, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
How about disambiguation for just "Zaishen Menagerie"? Give people searching the option of outpost ("Zaishen Menagerie (outpost)") or explorable ("Zaishen Menagerie Grounds") information. Or, if the likelihood is that people will be searching for the tiers and such, just a redirect to the Grounds page, with "other uses" for the outpost. --Nkuvu User Nkuvu sig button.jpg 19:34, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

"For information about accepted pets and pet unlocking, see Zaishen Menagerie Grounds." Or something along those lines, as a notice at the top of this article. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 21:02, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm ok with that :) - anja talk 05:02, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
I "upgraded" the disambig message and changed the split template to move template. This article, once the move is complete, can be changed to a disambig between the grounds and the outpost. So, when people search for "Zaishen Menagerie" wanting the Grounds, immediately see the link to what they want, and the outpost article can be made simply about the outpost and nothing else. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 05:17, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, looks nice. I'm thinking, should the talk page be moved or not? It is not really anything relevant to the outpost? - anja talk 05:20, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
I would say not, it's a little bit about both. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 05:35, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Nicely done, Anja. *claps* User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 17:16, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
this split was completely useless.76.121.95.90 09:40, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
Maybe to you, but many find it quite useful. See how every Mission and Mission outpost is in separate articles, along with countless disambig pages similar to this one. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 17:24, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
yea no you just made the search for information a longer one is all you archived and made a useless page in the proses. also the other page the zaishen menagerie grownds page is now much much longer then this page was to start with.76.121.95.90 19:19, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
The articles are about different zones in the game, don't see how they belong on one page. I'm sorry you find this to be an inconvenience. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 19:47, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
no this was a worthless change they should have just left this be the Zaishen menagerie (outpost) no one needs to read what the main website has to say about it now that its out. im going to add a merge tag.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 23:15, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
The purpose of this page is not to provide a quote. The main problem is that "Zaishen Menagerie" is the name of the outpost, but is used by players to refer to the explorable Grounds. People kept posting the same information in both articles, confusing the two, even though they referred to each other, so this page kept wrongfully getting filled with unlock prices, pet names, etc. Now this page serves as a disambig between the two, so that anyone who is not yet familiar with the existence of BOTH can see that there are, in fact, two different articles about two different things. If you really don't like the quote, you can remove it, as it serves no real purpose here except filler. Other than that, there's no reason to fight or cry over this, enough users supported the split. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 07:39, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
i am sorry if your crying about this. my point is that the suggestion for the 3 page solution was so this page would have the info about prices, and tiers and stuff like that. and right now that info is not on this page its on the explorable area page which i am fine with. and because that info never made back to this page the page is useless because a simple redirect on each respected page will help people find the info they are looking for instead of having this worthless page.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 08:27, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
I get your point, I disagree with it, you missed my point. That is unfortunate. Is your solution simply deleting this page? Why? Because you find it worthless? User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 20:41, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
no my solution is to merge this page with the out post page. this page is rather silly. when whats going on, on this page could be done by adding the text on this page to both the out post page and the explorable. --Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 22:03, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, if you feel so strongly for it, do it. If people don't like it, they can just revert back. The disambig messages on this page can be used directly in the articles, as I think they do a good job of explaining what the alternate page is about. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 22:08, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
i dont really feel strongly about it i just feel that this page is very silly the way it is right now and that it makes information about said pages harder to find.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 22:16, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
The fact that you got involved this much in the discussion means you feel strongly about it. In any case, feel free to make the adjustments. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 04:42, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
well rose do you not agree that the disambiguation links could be placed on both the pages? is there another reason why you feel so strongly to keep this page? i mean we do the same thing for missions and mission outposts. --Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 07:21, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
As I mentioned before, most people will search for "Zaishen Menagerie" looking for the Grounds and the unlocking of pets. That's why the outpost page was moved to (outpost) in the first place, and this was made a disambig between the two. Also, you rather agressive comments at the start did not help initiate a discussion like we have now. I've done that myself before, so no biggie, just saying. Otherwise, there's nothing else to it, which is why I said feel free to make your changes, as it really doesn't matter much one way or the other, but instead of making the changes and getting it over with, I guess you got really curious about what's going on in my head. :P And I've been wondering, can the disambig message have more than one "other" destination? It didn't seem possible when I tried using it that way before, which is why this page has simple bullets with links to the other 2 articles. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:10, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
why would it need to go to more then one page? why not have it so when you search for zaishen menagerie it gose to where all the information you want is. and then provide a link to the out post page? and yes i do want to know why you are fighting so admittedly against it, also you started the "agressive comments" with "The articles are about different zones in the game, don't see how they belong on one page. I'm sorry you find this to be an inconvenience." i reacted to that comment and thus what happened happened. --Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 06:33, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
It was a short explanation of why the split occured, and an apology that it does not fit with your view, which often happens on public websites - someone likes it, someone doesn't, so that comment was not aggressive in any way, and it was not secretly intended to be, but disguised not to, or whatever. Online communication is crippled in the sense that "hidden" messages cannot be conveyed, so don't look for them, please, at least not in my comments. Calling someone's work worthless is somewhat aggressive and inconstructive. So, how many times do I have to say "just do it already?" I'm not fighting against anything for a while now, don't know why you brought that up. Redirect this page to the grounds article, as you suggested above, and VOILA! The main justification for this page's existence is the fact that it's what people will type into search. What's on it doesn't much matter, as long as it gets people to where they need to go. Disambig, redirect, same thing, really. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 18:17, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
eh whatever. so should this page be merged with the explorable then instead of the out post? also i havent made the changes because one i dont fully understand how to do that yet and 2 i felt like we need to talk about it first.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 23:24, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
ok so my thought is that the information people are looking for is on the zaishen menagerie grounds so we should have this page have a redirect like this #redirect [[zaishen menagerie grounds]] and then just leave disambig links at the top, of the page just like how we do pages for missions. anyone disagree? also we should move this talk page over to the outpost's page. someone give me the go ahead and ill do it.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 10:16, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
One problem, you can't just move the talk page, it would have to be merged. Gordon Ecker or Backsowrd would be better at answering how that should be done properly, for licensing purposes. - anja talk 12:05, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
ok i don't care whom dose it. i would though just like to point out that the outpost's page dosnt have a talk page yet so it would be very easy to just move this over there right now because there wouldn't be anything to merge it with.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 21:22, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
I didn't notice that! I moved it quickly now before someone posted on the outpost page. It makes no sense to have it at zaishen menagerie when all the content is moved :) - anja talk 21:39, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Agreed--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer 21:55, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Rainbow Phoenix

I got Rainbow Phoenix for my Koss.--Soul of misery 01:18, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Make the Menagerie the same as the Hall of Monuments.

That is to say, I think anet should alter the Menagerie to allow you to take other players into your Menagerie - much like they allow you to take other players into the Hall of Monuments. It wouldn't even be that difficult to do; all they'd really need to do is have it so 'Charm Animal' is disabled when you enter with another human player. Just a thought. (Kiyoshi Ryuu 07:07, 28 April 2009 (UTC))

Inflict "Charming Sickness" of infinite duration when you enter with another player. :D User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 19:08, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

So in retrospect, Dire/Aggressive evolution sucks.

Yep. Now that we know the damage averages, Dire's extra TWO damage over Aggressive is not worth -30 health, and Aggressive's extra ONE damage over Elder is not worth -30 health either. Most pet damage comes from skills anyway. Arshay Duskbrow 11:22, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Not really, DPS mounts over time. Sure, your dire pet has 420 hp, but that'll keep it alive for a few more hits at most. Your hearty pet is going to cause less pressure than the dire pet, though it'll live longer. It really depends what you want it for. R/P and R/W rampagers for example are going to be powerful with a dire pet. 82.34.128.19 15:19, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
