But when uploading further dye charts, consider the minorcase rule: No capital letters unless it's a proper noun. This naming is preferable: [[Image:<Weapon> dye chart.jpg]]. Capital letters for the weapon, "dye chart" written in minorcase. Dye Charts

Yes this would include the photoshop interface. Your best bet is to make a video put it on youtube and link to it. Way easier than removing any copywrited content from 38 images. DrogoBoffin 06:07, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Skins for dye charts

If you have need of weapon skins to screenshot for dye charts, let me know, I have about a gazillion mules full of various stuff, but I hate doing dye charts :P -- Wyn talk 16:51, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the offer Wyn! If you have BMP weapons or EotN crafter weapons lying around that would be great. Crude Scimitar dye chart.

Currently those are just reference images (just uploaded old ones done back in the days when I was on GuildWiki). At the moment I don't have as much time to do dye charts so I just uploaded those ones (also the Jitte's) for now until I can get a new chart done up. Hmm, no idea. Whenever I craft one the crafter gives it to me as a red one. The Dye Preview Box even states the color is identical if you put a red dye in the box. The article page shows it as red in the infobox but yellow in the pictures...Hmm...Looks like I'll have to research that. Mystical Celestia 17:28, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Image Rendering???

Can I ask you how you render those images? I really want to help out with that project I but I don't know how to do it like that... I've downloaded 3D Ripper XD and 3ds Max Autodesk, but Autodesk didn't accept the filesize! What should I do. PLZ help me O.o Magamdy 17:09, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey. Unlike other people doing that project, I don't use any special rendering software. I simply just take screenshots of the items and "cut" out the image using Photoshop. When seven of the /zrank pictures are near identical (meta data, guild hall, character model, etc.) and five of those have been uploaded under a banned account, the sixth uploaded under another banned account, other IPs blocked for suspected circumventing of bans, recent controversy over specific guild pages, and another picture pops up (from a new account), who wouldn't suspect it to be 'someone' trying to circumvent a ban? As for "kind of seems like people are out to get me if this has to do with jon since i was blocked recently for the same circulating (not sure what the word is that is continuosly being used <_<) thing like last time or w/e it was", I am not 'targeting' you because of who you may be friends/guildies/associates of, I merely reported the account as it seems highly suspicious... ~Celestia 13:50, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

I can't delete?

I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about. If you are talking about why we restored the talk page (this and this), it's because you are not allowed to remove comments from a page unless it's under special circumstances or unless you archive. Well I am assuming those messages that I deleted were automated, then there was a warning that I thought was a bot saying "hey can't delete that..." but I just didn't want it there, and didn't want to have to archive it because I didn't feel that automated spam was necessary or useful or necessarily useful. Image cache

Hmm didn't notice it didn't work yesterday, thanks Wyn but...I tried it again and now it says "Could not find file "$1". So I tried it again and now it's "A page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid. Please choose another name." but the page shows nothing but then the page says "No file by this name exists, but you can upload one". And the history says we have moved it too :S Do you have any idea what is wrong? Would it be possible to delete 'File:Grasping Mask m front.jpg' and then try moving it again? ~Celestia 04:16, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Post it on the Report a wiki bug page. Emily will have to get the IT guys to clear it on Monday. This happens infrequently when moving images. It's a bit of a pain when it does, but is not too tough for them to fix. -- Wyn talk 04:37, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Armor

There's this elf ...

Hiya, I was just looking at Gilded Artifact and the dye chart looks like an elf. Looking at the dye chart image, it seems like you changed it but then put it back a couple weeks ago. I'm something of a wiki-newb, so I thought you might know how to fix it so that the new image appears on the weapon article, too. LicensedLuny 22:55, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Heya- someone found my mistake :(...The image cache seems to have been stuck on the image for a while. If you try refreshing the page, Ctrl+F5 or clicking the clock at the top of the wiki page, then hopefully the image should update properly. I just did it on my page (that was one fat elf) and now the dye chart displays properly. Hopefully that'll fix it. ~Celestia 06:56, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Awesome! Clock didn't work, but refresh after clicking the clock did. And hopefully it works for everyone now, too. I'm familiar enough with wiki to know how to get to the image I want. Well I rarely play and am not really going to be active on the wiki anymore so it just seemed like a waste to keep the images/pages. It also poses a security risk having my character names out in the open. You miss them? :P ~Celestia 14:33, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Instead of having the images redirect to the page you want, you can use the |link parameter. For example, [[File:User Pling sig.png|link=Main Page]], which comes up as , links directly to the Main Page without redirect. If you hover over it, you can see the destination, so it's more useful that way too. You can use Special:ListTransclusions, which is in the toolbox nav on the left, to see which images are used and go directly to their filepage.
