PvE and PvP[edit]
- Spirit Siphon All right. That skill got clearly improved. now we gain 10 energy out of a spirit. But then no energy is left. This skill only works with many spirits and I dont think, that is what we want. I would prefer, to increase the recharge time and to direkt draw energy from the spirit. But it is still good, that the skill got an improvement.
- Signet of Binding Ok, that skill got dramatically changed. Now, it doesn't help the protection Ritualist anymore. But I think that's ok. The protection Ritualist doesn't work right now, even with the old version of that signet. If the Ritualist would get active Binding Rituals, like planed by us, he wouldn' need that signet. So we wouldn't miss it. On the other hand, the new version supports my idea of Anti-spirit-skills. Well, maybe it would be usefull in the future (right now it is a useless skill).
- Spiritleech Aura Realy nice idea. But now remains the question: Why don't they pull it to Spawning Power? I think it is to lol, if you imagine, a Ritualist using that skill and wondering, why his Restoration-Spirits don't attack.^^
- If you calculate a bit, you notice, that Anet tryed to make Weapon Spells only usefull for Ritualists. And it should work that way. A good step in the right direction. But I still think to balance them, it is a need to make them kinda removable.

- Signet of Binding: Verata's Gaze for spirits! Duncan the Black, your going down rit-boss! Anguished Souls, obey your new master!
- Spiritleech Aura: Interesting function! Attribute split makes sense in regards to Painful Bond and Binding Chains, though Spawning Power makes better sense. 'Aura' part doesnt fit what it does (we really need at least 5 more elites and 10 more skills).
- Spirit Siphon: any improvement is better then nothing at all... this seriously competes with Offering of Spirits (which is why Lancy and I propose it buffs Channeling Magic in addition to energy gain; see Double Dragon). Also Aneurysm is officially dating Spirit Siphon.

- Signet of Binding: Recharge Time of 15 seconds. Still a waste of skill space in PvE. In PvP are no Spirit Spammers.
- Spiritleech Aura: I thought about using it in what kind of build, after they swap the attribute. Result: There is no use. Sensless skill, if you think about it. Only affects active spirits. But they don't need the heal in PvE. They have a good range, high lvl (many hp) and are fast casted. In PvP it would be nice if i just think about [[Wanderlust].^^ But where can I spamm spirits in PvP? Only in RA. -.-

PvE Only[edit]
One word: WOW.
They did a great work, to make spirits realy fast in PvE (just watch "Signet of Creation"!). So the Spirit Spammer in PvE is better playable than ever.
The increased lvl are well to. A quotation from my suggestion page: "The Binding Rituals do need a higher lvl. What happens, if they are about lvl 15?" ^^
Some skills are too strong after the update and will be fixed in the near future (my opinion). Like Signet of Spirits, which does 75 armor ignoring dmg pro second as a single skill, even without using energy. -- Yullive 12:22, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Signet of Creation: Old-function never did decent job of keeping spirits alive for that full 30 seconds (mainly used for Minion Bombers). Needs to be both PvP/PvE; with all the PvE-Binding Rituals activating at 1 second or less, this has niche use.
- Signet of Spirits: THEY TOOK OUR SUGGESTION! *happy dance* And made it overpowered just as they did with our Peace & Harmony. Expect a nerf -if- they dont nerf every other skill from this Signet of Spirits Healer build. The name fits perfectly though, and any Ritualist who has ever played as Master Togo (Bonus Missions Pack) wanted this badly! ^_^
- Armor of Unfeeling: -BEST- -UPGRADE- -EVER-! We already have damage reduction from Union.
- --Falconeye 08:19, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Signet of Creation: Well, I tested it and there still is no use of it in PvE at all. The spirits are allready fast casted. Still a waste of skill space.
- Signet of Spirits: I created a much better build with it.^^ Bombing with Boon of Creation Explosive Growth Spirit's Gift Signet of Spirits Rupture Soul Feast of Souls Mantra of Inscriptions^^ Well, they allready fixed it.^^

Thanks for this page[edit]
It's a good idea to track the changes of ritualist skills close to the project of changing... things on our pages may be oudated some times.
I feel really sad about this update to be honest. I am under this impression that an easy way to satisfy people has been found without any deeper thougts. Honestly encouraging spirit spamming in PvE wasn't really the solution. Ok increasing the spirit level is a good thing (but would be useful in PvP as well) but I still remain a defender of an increase based on Spawning Power. Regarding the casting time of spirit, well it is for me a big FAILURE. First, there are already ways of decreasing cast time in PvE through different consumables. In PvE you can also keep your spirits longer by using summon spirit, so basically if a player is smart enough to avoid being in the middle of the battlefield, his spirits are a very powerful weapon. This update just made ritualist less tactical and more "press any button" than ever....
Buff to weapon spell duration is great though. Things must be tested but I think it will change some critical issues like Eles and Necros being better at using Rit skills. But again, in PvE, ritualists being more and more faster I think there will be soon an issue with energy management...
Finally I don't think the change of signet of binding was useful. To be exact this skill has become very niche and lacks of some versatility.
like always, time will tell if this update was good but for me it put a too huge gap between PvE and PvP in term of playstyle and I can't think of any way for this gap to be filled now...Cornflakeboy 12:08, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- I know, what you mean. I had the same feelings, reading the PvE-part.^^ But on the other hand it mad me hoping of changes for the Ritualist. I even didn't think, ANet would support the Ritualist that strong. Yes, they took the easy way, but if we can create a whole new and complete concept, it would be a easy way for them too.^^ Well, I just keep hoping.
- I don't play PvE a lot. My direction is PvP and form that sight, i can't stand any PvE/PvP-splits. So that part of the update is making me angry. They didn't just take the easy way, by making all spirits spammable. They also avoided balancing spirits for PvP. -- Yullive 12:28, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Amendments for this updated[edit]
0 3 30 - (Communing) - Elite Signet. Creates three level 1...10...12 Spirits (60 seconds lifespan). These Spirits deal 5...27...32 with attacks. -- Just too good atm... still belongs in Communing.
0 1 15 - (Communing) - Signet. You gain control of target spirit. That spirit gains +50...170...200 maximum Health. You lose 200...80...50 Health. -- Lets keep both versions.
0 1 30 - (Spawning Power) - Signet. (5...25...30 seconds.) Your next 1...3...3 Spells and Binding Rituals cast instantly. Summoned creatures you create gain +3...7...8 Health regeneration. These creatures die after 5...25...30 seconds. -- A signet version of Accelerated Growth. Lets keep both versions.
5 ¼ 15 - (Channeling Magic) - Skill. (5...17...20 seconds.) All of your spirits within earshot deal 5...17...20 less damage and steal 5...17...20 Health when they attack. -- Personally, i'd gladly have spirits deal no damage whatsoever (synergy with Binding Chains) and turn them all into bloodsong's for self-healing (negatively effects Anguish). -
- Agony -- Why wasnt this given the same Level as Rejuvenation?
- Restoration -- Needs earshot range and on par with "We Shall Return!".
- Anguished Was Lingwah -- No love for poor Lingwah? ;_;
- --Falconeye 09:13, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Signet of Spirits - Communing? I don't think so. Communing can't hold all spirits. There are 22. And it would be a bit boring, I think, if al spirits are on Communing. I don't think you want all spirits on one attribute. So why should the three dmg-spirits be on Communing?
- 1) To keep them away from Painful Bonds. 2) They dont life-steal. 3) Channeling has good e-management (SoS+BoC for Communing). 4) Signets seems to fit better with Communing/Spawning Power. --Falconeye 03:05, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
0 1 15 - I like your idea. But should it stay at Communing? I would prefer Spawning Power.
- Signet of Creation - The spell-add is imba, because of spikes. The rest sounds quite good.
- The signet already works on spells (?bug?) and allows synergy with all Summoned creatures. A PvP/PvE-split may be necessary for this one. --Falconeye 03:05, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Spiritleech Aura - I don't like the idea. Bloodsong is a boring spirit. Why should I create a team of all the same spirits?
- -
- Agony - Same Level as Rejuvenation? The answer is easy. Because heal is in GW always > than dmg. But I think you still know that. How many monks does one Team of 8 people need? (Answere: 2-3)
- Restoration - This spirit didn't get a buff. The lvl of the spirit never was important and the binding-time doesn't make him effectiv. The spirit needs to become recreated. (Still needs earshot under its current version).
- Anguished Was Lingwah - I thought the same.^^
