The Unworthy Dead were the ghosts of those who were found to be unworthy to enter the Hall of Heroes. They became hostile to any who wished to enter the Rift. This test was similiar to the Elite Zaishen Battle nowadays and was removed with the move of the Hall of Heroes tournament to the Battle Isles in the January 19, 2006 update.

There were six types of Unworthy:
