No Blacktide Den

Issue: When finishing the quest and allowing the last movie to be played your brought back to sunspead great hall, however your party is 6/4 not 4/4)
Steps to reproduce the issue: completed the Den Mission Quest and let the end movie play
Additional info: <None>

This was reported before and determined not to be a bug. See ArenaNet talk:Miscellaneous bugs/N1#Venta Cemetery returning party size, ArenaNet talk:Miscellaneous bugs#Party size too large, and User talk:Joe Kimmes/Archive August 2009#Party Size in Kamadan and Plains of Jarin. --Silver Edge 00:12, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

No The Eternal Grove - Hard Mode mission and Shiro's Return Hard Mode mission book

I went through the mission as the only Human participant along with 3 Heros and 4 Henchman. In my pack I was carrying the Hard Mode copy of Shiros' Return, with all but 2 slots filled. The Eternal Grove mission is one of the unfilled lines. Completed the mission with all 12 Tree Singers surviving. Afterwards I did not get credit for the completion of the mission in the Shiro's Return book and did not have the option to pay 100 gold to have it filled in by the poet in Kaineng Center. I don't know if this matters but this is not the first book I am filling. In Game name is (name removed), e-mail at (e-mail removed) if you need further information. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.1.78.233 (talk).

You probably completed The Eternal Grove in Normal mode, because you forgot to switch it to Hard mode in the party window. Or when you completed The Eternal Grove in Hard mode, you had two Shiro's Return Hard mode books in your inventory, one with The Eternal Grove already filled in and one with The Eternal Grove not filled in, and you had the book with The Eternal Grove already filled in placed closest to or in the first slot (upper left corner in the Backpack) in your inventory causing that book to get The Eternal Grove page filled in even though it was already filled. --Silver Edge 04:10, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

No Seek out Brother Tosai

Issue: If you abandon this quest it will not be offered again by either of the two NPC's that provide it. Sun, the Quivering only spawns during and after completion of this quest's chain, making it impossible to capture Quivering Blade and complete the Canthan & Legendary Skill Hunter titles. In addition, the Am Fah mobs near the entrance to the Undercity never become hostile. Basically it behaves as if the "abandon" option only removes the quest from your list without actually resetting it.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Accept, then abandon the quest. Attempt to get the quest again from either Bujo or Senjo Wah. No quest indicator will appear for either of them and the quest will not be offered. Try to find Sun and he will not spawn.
Additional info: Just encountered this and when trying to figure out what the problem was, I saw this earlier mention: SoBT:Talk, Sept 2009.

It's not impossible to learn Quivering Blade for the Skill Hunter title. You can unlock it by either using Balthazar faction via a Priest of Balthazar or using another character that has completed the quest chain to capture it. Then use an elite warrior skill tome on the bugged character once the skill is unlocked. --Silver Edge 06:40, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
OK fine, I was tired when I posted, forgot about B.faction and runners. :-P BUT, having a workaround for getting the skill doesn't address the fact that the quest is still bugged. If you abandon, it comes off your list but doesn't actually reset the quest chain so you can't restart it (like you can with any other abandoned quest AFAIK). This bug also permanently sets the Am Fah near the Undercity to "neutral," which I'm pretty sure isn't supposed to happen. It's nice for getting quickly through that part of the map, but it still needs to be fixed. -- Tekn0mancer User Tekn0mancer-Awaken the Blood 19px sig.jpg talk 14:43, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
I never said it wasn't bugged and didn't need fixing. I just noted other methods that can be used to learn Quivering Blade until the bug is fixed. --Silver Edge 21:14, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
According to a recent post at Talk:Seek out Brother Tosai#Abandoning, this bug doesn't occur anymore. --Silver Edge 05:41, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

No Wanted by the Shining Blade: Wanted: Insatiable Vakar quest

Issue: If you do Amalek the Unmerciful quest first, then the Insatiable Vakar quest is no longer listed.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Work through the War in Kryta dialogues 1 to 5 and enter Lion's Arch Keep take the Amalek the Unmerciful quest from the Wanted by the Shining Blade board, watch dialog 6, do quest, return and get reward. The Wanted: Insatiable Vakar quest is no longer listed on the board.
Additional info: Leaving Lion's Arch Keep and returning did not help resolve the problem.

Well it is highly likely that this is not a bug after all. After successfully obtaining the third quest today, I agree with another user that it is likely that these are going to be daily changing quests, similar to the z bounty ones. Arrowmaster 22:47, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

No Wanted by the Shining Blade

Issue: If you have 3 of these quests in your log and go to take a fourth, the message states:

  • Wanted by the Shining Blade
    • Zaishen bounties are limited to 3 at one time.

Steps to reproduce the issue: Collect 3 different Shining Blade bounties in your quest log and do not complete them, then go to take a fourth.
Additional info: None

This is working as designed. Characters are limited to (3) Zaisen Quests, Zaisen Bounties, Wanted: quests. The wording on the denial message is immaterial-- it applies to all of the Zaishen-style "extras" that have been added. 68.59.41.150 04:01, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

No Salma not transferring War supplies

My gf and I were in same party working on WiK content. We completed the recruit Asura and Ebon Vanguard missions, then went to LA Keep for rewards. We both accepted the quest rewards from Salma, but no war supplies showed up in either of our inventories.

Salma doesn't offer War Supplies for those quests, only for Shining Blade Bounties.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:09, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

No Riverside Assassination

Issue: The reg mode is like VERY very Hard mode. It is impossible to always pull a few mobs so way out numbered with henchmen so low. And when I went with parties it was a problem with them as well.

The mobs all seem to have topped out mp and as if all spells etc are topped out as if everything is more than 12, as if their armor has fire magic + 6 etc. No way should one dose of fire storm kill you without time to run away. My fire storm is set to 14 and it does not kill them when they do not run so this cant be reg mode, the way the rest of the game is set up.

They do way more damage than me heroes or others when I tried to go with a party. The mobs do not attack the attackers they run in and go after the monks like PVP. It is as if the programmer set this up for only players who go in with guild mates that have PVP top gear and spells which should only be hard mode as we do not all play that well. And even with a party we never found a Monk thus had to use heroes and this is set up too hard for heroes.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Additional info: Please make reg mode easy enough for us to do it. People who need this much of a challenge can do hard mode or pvp. This is so hard it just drives your nerves up and makes playing no fun. I soloed Ring of fire quest so it is not that I am a complete noob. Please make reg mode easier. I play for games for fun not a head ache or supper challenge thats why I do not play PVP. Although I have been able to do many things solo in hard mode with trail and error adjusting my heroes and my own skills and or gear. But after weeks of trying I can not do this quest and that is sooooooooo wrong in reg mode.

Wanted: Justiciar Kasandra I saw message above and can say I soloed it so I am not a complete noob. Please help us with these quest make reg mode reg NOT HARD.

You have described this as a suggestion rather than a bug; although you disagree with the level of difficulty, this quest is working as intended. I recommend that you create an official suggestion, which you can start here, which is the area reserved for your suggestions. (Although developers rarely respond to posts there, they often incorporate the ideas into the game, including those about balance and challenge.)  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:04, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
I really think it is a bug for this too be so much harder than the other quest. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.246.159.197 (talk • contribs) at 11:58, 2 February 2011 (UTC).

No Douse Your Enthusiasm

Issue: Quest will not pass through towns. Once I enter the Astrilarium from the Plains of Jarin the quest disappears and does not continue.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Additional info: The preceding unsigned comment was added by 97.113.165.221 (talk • contribs) at 20:18, 7 February 2011 (UTC).

Are you saying the quest disappeared from your quest log? Or that you cannot find the quest marker anymore? If the former, festival quests are now supposed to disappear after the festival ends. So if it happened today, that might have been annoying and frustrating, but it is not a bug; the game is working as intended (personally, I think you should get some sort of warning, but ... I'm not in charge).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:52, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
Once a festival ends, festival quests are removed from the quest log whenever a character loads into a new instance (outpost, explorable area, district, etc.). The IP posted 18 minutes after Canthan New Year 2011 was set to end, so this is most likely the case. --Silver Edge 07:22, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

No Watch It Jiggle (Ooze Pit)

Issue: The WIKI write-up for this dungeon states as follows:"1000 Deldrimor reputation points are awarded for completing this dungeon for the first time in normal mode, and 500 points are awarded for subsequent completions. 1500 Deldrimor reputation points are awarded for completing this dungeon in hard mode for the first time, and 750 points are awarded for subsequent completions." However, the Dwarf reputation points for subsequent completions is NOT awarded, for this or other dungeons. This is an issue for people trying to achieve EoN titles.  ?>
Steps to reproduce the issue: Tried running the dungeon in Normal mode.
Additional info: Also had the Zaishen Bounty active

If you're already rank 8, you won't get more points for doing it in Normal Mode, you need to move on to Hard Mode. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 01:42, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

No Thirsty River (Prophecies Mission)

Issue: Mission timer stops at 1:50. Ghostly Hero won't progress past first general's base.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Used nightfall heroes with mission. Repro'd twice. Haven't tried it with henchmen.
Additional info: Mission + Bonus was already completed. Repeated mission to fill out my new story book. Story book was in my possession at the time. Autoduelist 07:20, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

I think I figured this out. The mission is different from when I did it ages ago. The ghostly hero and timer stops the moment the boss dies. You have to single click on the ghostly hero again to make him follow. I double clicked so the ghost did nothing and didn't display the "I'm standing here" dialog. The first time I single clicked on the hero there was some stuttering until I reached the next gate. My party "jumped" across the screen similar to when network packets get lost and your character is in different location then when you last saw them. But the mission appears to be working.

No A Tasty Morsel (Nightfall - The Ruptured Heart)

Issue: Charen gets stuck on the lip of a ravine running to the resurrection shrine to meet the Margolith Rebirther Jarith. This makes the quest impossible to complete.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Accepted the quest. Followed Charen as he ran off.
Additional info: This has happened to me three times in row now. The wiki is wrong. Rezoning doesn't fix the problem.

Autoduelist 09:39, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

I figured out that the walkthrough description bug for rezoning was incomplete. The player has to select Abandon Quest in a town in addition to rezoning to avoid the bug. I updated the wiki with the new information. I filed the bug initially because it was unclear whether there was a code regression (ie - it used to work) with the quest and the work around.
