*thumbs up* I like this suggestion --Kali Shin Shivara 16:50, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Im hereby starting a /Signed petition! ^_^ --Falconeye 03:29, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
This is a very very good idea! I like it. Prophecies the most boring campain in the game. A big upgrade/rebuild necessary. -- Ladislau 15:53, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Whoa[edit]

This is one of the best ideas i have read XD<3User:Ickoization 03:25, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

/agree --Boro 10px‎ 21:45, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Second that, one of the best ideas so far. But i have doubts if such an idea like that of Boro's UW idea would even make it trough due to the massive ammount of work that will be required for it. Damysticreaper 12:19, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
After looking trough it thoroughly i noticed 2 things so far that could use a bit of a change. First are the unworthy undead, i myself am against monsters all having the same name but having different builds and professions (aside those who are encountered in one time quest or mission only), so i would not mind if they would be renamed to identify them better (something like unworthy [profession name]). Seconds is the darkness nr.2 HM build, players are smart enough not to use skills when under the effect of panic. It works against NPC's but not players, i advice Psychic Instability as elite instead since it has a similar purpose as panic: mob shut down. Well thats what i wanted to point out. Damysticreaper 20:16, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
For the Unworthy Dead - I thought that too but the original, from what I could find (do correct me if I'm wrong) had them all the same name, and the intent was to bring back those good unworthy fellas. Likewise, the models would be different thus promoting a use of eyes without holding down the ctrl button or doing c space/tab space. However, I am not against them being called "Unworthy Warrior" or "Unworthy Dead Warrior" and expanding that to each profession name though.
The Darknesses builds were actually done with the idea of the names of the skills - The Darknesses bringing forth panic, chaos storms, and so forth. It was just a bit of fun I had, tbh. And you'll be surprised how stupid the things that players bring are. -- Konig/talk 20:38, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
True that players bring AI with them, but your idea of ToPK hard seems doable for AI in HM and more like player SC material, with that in mind i doubt Panic will have such a heavy impact on players who can simply spread out avoiding eachother or not using skills at all. Altough it's effect might work out differently. With it's duration vs cooldown and with fast casting recharge it can be more effective since players would NOT use skills while under it's effect reducing their DPS, it just depents on how you will look at it. Damysticreaper 10:48, 1 April 2011
what in the suggestion promotes speed clear? This is more important to me than skill bars on enemies, since as I said: "Like I've stated elsewhere, I do not trust my abilities of balance, so these are merely placeholders for the time being." -- Konig/talk 17:02, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
The awesome rewards that you are suggesting promote SC and the PvP element of it would promote normal play for those who feel they have no place in normal PvP like GvG and HA if it isn't too difficult in NM. SC in itself would not be much of a problem seeing how well you put up the tasks needed to be performed to get the end reward. Even good teams will most likely be more than an hour if not more than 2 completing it so SC won't be a problem at all simply because it won't be fast. Same reason why DoA Glaiveway hasn't been nerfed yet, players still take at least an hour to complete it unlike the old UWSC wich was 10 min. Damysticreaper 17:20, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Skills[edit]

Noticed that Searing Heat is marked as an elite. Did you want to give them Savannah Heat or gave them a golden edge by mistake? Damysticreaper 10:43, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Ah, no, I forgot that build didn't have an elite (done on purpose - it's a burning based build) when I put the overlays/frames up. -- Konig/talk 16:20, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Seeing there is a lot of DoTAoE in the build of Wrathful Storm (HM) but only 2 limited burning skills and you intended to make a burning build why not add Mark of Rodgort to let all those spells cause burning. Also since the dryders that cary MoR don't apear in HM losing synergy if they were to apear with eachother, well that being a bit of my advice for a burning build. Damysticreaper 17:07, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
It was actually the terrorweb in NM build I was referring to. The Wrathful Storms (both NM and HM) are meant to be full blown AoE chaos. I just couldn't add Savannah Heat to the Wrathful Storms NM build since its a Nightfall skill (as per this, which this suggestion assumes takes place). -- Konig/talk 17:18, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Topk[edit]

I've seen maybe two to three groups now doing full topk runs, but it's not as active as it could be. Though I've gotten three characters though there. What's scary is that a team of two - a ranger and an assassin can take on about all four levels. If I hadn't of died from the Chaos Worms, I believe we'd made it on through. I was the ranger and I feel that.. your suggestion would do a lot better. It wouldn't be new content quit so much, but it would have gotten more involved like I remember doa, the dragon staff runs, etc. that got people together. While the heroes are fun, I use to enjoy and do occasionally enjoy teaming up with others to play. I just wish Anet would look at this that you have posted and consider it a bit more than what they have done. Kaisha User Kaisha Sig.png 10:21, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Rewards[edit]

As much as i love your idea, the rewards need a rethink. ToPK was already a great area, sure a little outdated but fun and rewarding. Then the farming came, no one minded the barrage pet teams really, but it was when people found ways to solo/duo farm the area for ectos it had to be changed, now there are far fewer dreamriders and terrorwebs, NONE on the first level, a individual skill was made just to stop farmers (fingers) and over time all these small changes ruined the area. Therefore i would suggest removing ecto as the reward (removes a huge amount of farming interest) however keep the chance of rubies/saphires.

Secondly the idea of summoning stones as a reward is nice but as the UW tells us leads to some horrible elitism where new players can never get a team. Maybe have them as a collectors item from someone within the tombs??? Overall nice idea, but i would imagine it far to complex to be implemented. --Frizz Meister 12:19, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Agree, no items or materials that drop from monsters that promote farming or elitism as it will destroy the area. If you do it will be nothing more than lfp 250+ stones and bots farming the place. Having a reward still remains a must and those Chaos Gemstones offer a nice reward but are items that can still promote farming, however with the correct monster setup it can be made impossible rather easily. The Shadow Weapons and the Chaos/Eternal Weapons dropping from monsters is a nice idea but i noticed you have the Chaos Gems purple shadow weapons as reward so why don't you make the Chaos Weapons a gold reward. A nice aditional reward would be a miniature Darkness as a rare drop. Anyways summing it up replace the drop 1 section's Darkness Summoning Stones with Chaos Gemstones to prevent elitism. Da Mystic Reaper 13:07, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
The only creatures I intend to give ectos are Cursed Dream Riders and Mindflay Spectres (perhaps Chaotic Energy and Fleeting Nightmare as well, the latter being no problem at all due to there being only two maps with them). Note that I removed dryders on an entirety and all Banished Dreams Riders have been replaced by the "new" ritualist counterpart which only appears in HM. The groups will be more balanced in professions and the Fingers of Chaos, a skill I put more on par to Enrage rather than an anti-farming skill, will be modified so that it's primarily harmful to small groups.
Also note that the creatures who drop ectos are not on the first level, and only 1 of the second levels (unless Chaotic Energies are given ectos as a drop). The balanced number of profession also keeps these few creatures low per group (instead of multiple groups of 2-4 ecto droppers like now) and due to the NPC talking, the place will hopefully remove the ability of botting (rather than removing the desire).
Regarding the summoning stone thing... Fair point, however to counter your argument: Urgoz's Warren and The Deep reward summoning stones but there is no such system. Likewise, the summoning stone has a 50% chance of dropping so if given bad luck it is possible to never get one. Honestly, that's not a case of elitism, that's a case of stupidity. And sadly there isn't a cure for stupid. If we remove the summoning stone, if the players want, they'll just find something else to replace it (going off of the suggestion, chaos gemstones would be next, but after that it could turn out to be the new greens or something equally idiotic that can be sold and bought).
BTW, I did the 50% thing because the other 50% is an ecto drop - I felt that the "alternative source of ecto outside UW" was something that should be kept, but reduced for farming (including botting and speed clearing) purposes.
Regarding the Chaos Gemstones and shadow/eternal weapons: Gold versions come from the chest, they are a reward for completing the area, whereas purple versions can be bought from players via the gemstones (which have a chance to drop from any non-Unworthy Dead foe). Honestly, the color of weapons from collectors doesn't really matter (imo) unless they're HoM material or just annoying to get. Konig/talk 17:43, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
