Quest

Is there any way to know what Quests you have already done in game? --70.29.136.243 22:52, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

If you are referring to a "list of completed quests" (as seen in other rpg games) sadly there isnt one. However, I would recommend referencing the wiki's Template:Quest lists navbar to help get back on track if your currently derailed. --Falconeye 23:04, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Just translating to Spanish for ya, Alex. Escriba /kneel en el chat para arrodillarse. La lista de los emotes se encuentra en la pagina de Emotes. Ojalá que esto te ayude. --Dragon Nataku talk to me 16:40, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

How to play/get to the early areas of factions as a nightfall character

I'm trying to complete the Winds of Change missions with my dervish character, but I'm stuck at the mission "Rescue at Minister Cho's Estate". I managed to get on the starter island, but upon reaching Minister Cho's Estate the gate into the exit remains closed. Is it possible for me, as a Nightfall Character" to complete this mission? TIA, 134.247.251.249 17:29, 5 March 2012 (UTC) Lyra Elle

Went to Minister Cho's Estate on two different Nightfall chars and the gate was open... however, there is a guardsman outside the gate. Have you tried talking to him? Maybe he can let you in. Or perhaps try rezoning?--Dragon Nataku talk to me 20:20, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
You can only enter the explorable via Ran Musu Gardens. However, Ran Musu Gardens is only accessible after you complete the Minister Cho's Estate mission. So what you have to do is: Go to Minister Cho's Estate (outpost) and do Minister Cho's Estate (mission), then enter the Minister Cho's Estate (explorable area) from Ran Musu Gardens to do quest. ZencowUser Ox rider Sig.png 20:33, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
My bad, I thought he meant the gate into Minister Cho's Estate outpost was closed. ^>__<^;; --Dragon Nataku talk to me 17:36, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

Character Birthday

If I forgot one of my character's birthdays (creation date), is there a way to find out? ~ Silken Prism 19:36, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

The /age command is the only way. For the first 60 days it will give you a number of days from creation, after that it gives you the time in months, which is much less precise. Nobody really knows how screwed up GW's calendar system is, but it's bad enough that most people don't know when their character was made, and the few that do often find themselves getting gifts on the wrong date. –Jette 01:58, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
FWIW, it could simply be a batch script that's run on a weekly or fortnightly basic, rather than daily. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 05:39, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the answer ~ Silken Prism talk 19:39, March 8 2012 (UTC) 13:40, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Ritualist secondary?

Hi, I own both Prophecies and Factions but when I ascend will I be able to change my secondary profession to ritualist? thanks --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kamecarlos (talk) at 20:23, 9 March 2012 (UTC).

Yes you can have ritualist secondary, as per Profession changer, you can switch your secondary to ritualist in either Senji's corner or at the Great Temple of Balthazar (if you have Nightfall then theres an npc in the command post to switch it). Resilience HOM

Can one character acquire 2 or 3 sets of Prestige armour - all different - amd have them all displayed in the HOM to count towards rewards or do you have to use different characters?

Thanks Jay
All on one character is fine. Though, if going across multiple characters, it has to be different armour every time. Armour is armour, the calculator does everything account wide.115.64.200.42 14:30, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

OK Thanks, Jay

Anton

Recently aquired Anton the assassin, but most of his skills are locked. How do I unlock them? I am on the EOTN campaign, and its really frustating to use a character who keeps dying over and over again. Makes him ineffective. Somebody help me fix this please?

Presumably you don't have Factions, if the skills are showing up locked. You won't be able to do much with him because most assassin skills are in Factions. You should probably just avoid using him unless you're okay with buying another campaign. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 16:05, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
If you own Nightfall, you can unlock all EotN and NF assassin skills. It's slim pickings, but if you're desperate to use him, you can fill a bar with them. –Jette 18:21, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Hatching the Moa

If you have more than one character, can one character carry their incubator and the one's of your other character(s) into Sorrow's Furnace and hatch all at the same time?

Short answer: No. See 'notes' section on the Black Moa Chick page. A possible explanation of this: the game mechanics will recognise the first incubator kit in your inventory, successfully create your new chick, and the second kit will then be ignored. Ashlann User Ashlann frog64sigimg.png 10:59, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
There's a simpler mechanic: each incubator is customized to a character and presumably only that character can hatch the moa.
However, if you have two filled incubators (one for each toon), there's no harm in having toon A take toon B's incubator when A hatches their own moa chick. Get hit by the required skill multiple times: once to hatch the first moa and then try moving the kit around in your inventory. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:56, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

Razah and Livia bugged? no +health from their weapons

Two of my heroes lose the +health from their weapons when zoning to an instance. Razah has +60 from Ssyn’s Staff. Livia has +30 from a Hale Destroyer Soul Reaping Staff. They have the bonuses in any town or outpost, but lose them as soon as they zone into a combat area.

Have tried swapping out with other weapons. Have changed their builds, but the health bonus still disappears. None of my other heroes have this isssue.

Not sure when exactly this started happening, but it seems to be within the last month. --98.203.195.246 15:21, 14 March 2012 (UTC) Mars Quake

Are you sure you aren't using item spells? (e.g. Protective Was Kaolai)When heroes use them they lose all benefits of weaponry. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 15:25, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
I feel like a noob. Yes, I recently started using PwK on those two heroes. Forgot about the item spell effect. Thx, for the quick response. --98.203.195.246 15:42, 14 March 2012 (UTC) Mars Quake

Paragon unresurrectable

My Nightfall Paragon character dies and does not resurrect by heroes who surround her trying to res her. This happens when her DP is over 45%. Since the whole party is alive except her, I have to map out and start over. Can you help? Sumiko Xiu --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 97.102.62.234 (talk) at 16:37, 16 March 2012 (UTC).

What location were you in when this happened, and which resurrect skills did your heroes have? File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 17:04, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
If you get resurrected and then immediately die, you probably have too little health. Your minimum maximum health is 1 point, and Guild Wars usually rounds health decimals to the nearest natural number. As such, if the resurrection skill raises you with less than 50% health, you will be raised with 0 health and die instantly. Remedies include lowering your death penalty (not possible with all heroes), raising your maximum health (not possible while dead, Fertile Season and similar are exceptions), and using a resurrect skill that provides full or near-full health. Resurrection Chant, Renew Life, Death Pact Signet, Restore Life (at 10 healing prayers or more) and many others offer high-health resurrection. If your health is dropping to 1 after death penalty, you should consider using fewer runes on your armor, as they drastically lower your health.
Another possibility is Frozen Soil. If the heroes have resurrection skills available but refuse to use them, this is usually the cause. Resurrection skill cannot be cast in the range of Frozen Soil, but skills such as Unyielding Aura and Lively Was Naomei can be cast outside of the spirit's range, then triggered near the dead ally. It's also possible to kill the spirit.
Resurrection Signets can only be activated once per morale boost. With some fancy flagwork you can kill a boss with heroes to renew the signet even if you're dead. –Jette 21:47, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
"Resurrection Signets can only be activated once per morale boost. With some fancy flagwork you can kill a boss with heroes to renew the signet even if you're dead." If that was the case (having no resurrection skills besides Resurrection Signets that were used and needed to be recharged), the party would of wiped if it was in a mission or quest-instance with no resurrection shrines, or the party would have been resurrected at a resurrection shrine if it was in an explorable area or dungeon. --Silver Edge 04:33, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
Is it? I can't remember the last time I died. I can't remember the last time I played, either, so that's fitting. –Jette 05:12, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Yea that bout sums it up--Divine kid 22:27, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Winds of Change --> Vanquishing

After acquiring the WOC quest I have been unable to complete vanq or missions in Cantha. I have abandoned the quest and tried to pick up the Purity to undo this until I have finished all my vanq and missions in HM. Why am I not able to pick this up before I complete all WOC? Whats the use of having Purity if you cant pick it up? I wish the warnings of the problems with WOC had been published BEFORE I started.98.91.49.85 14:12, 24 March 2012 (UTC)China Miah

You must complete upto cleansing morostav trail to acquire the Memories of Purity quest. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 15:03, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

EXP scrolls

Hi, me again, i was wondering if it was possible to stack the different EXP booster scroll effects together. i looked all over Wiki, no find answer, and haven't tried it (because i dont want 2 waste them)--Divine kid 21:51, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

I believe it's one at a time. Wouldn't it be silly if you could have 1000% more xp?-- User Vanguard VanguardLogo.pnganguard 22:19, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
Xp gain is capped at 350% of normal rate - and you can only have one scroll at a time. (using a new scroll over an old one will replace the older scroll)File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 22:30, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
So if you're fighting and gaining XP in hard mode, where theres 150% of normal rate xp gain, the highest multiplier of scroll you could use would be Slayer's Insight 2.5x (using lightbringer would have same effect even at 3x due to the cap). kk, thx --Divine kid 22:50, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Zero or Six

Who has officially stated "zero or six!" And in what context? I need the answer for a prize game so please answer :)

If it's for a contest, then telling you would be cheating. I will tell you that it's somewhere in the ANet blog. (This would also be more relevant on the GW2 wiki, but whatever.) --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 16:35, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
