Bots (?)
I discover a large number of plug in unita and the enemy. The plug used by newcomers whose main occupation is elementsand vice occupation is soldier. The plug can created characters and do tasks automatically. Then received the mandate into the warehouse, and the characters will be deleted automatically before establish a new one.You can go unita and enemy to see,all element who is main occupation will meet fixed NPC,and take fixed routes --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:124.234.240.235 (talk).
- Assuming this is a Babelfish'd translation of some sort of statement, could 124.234.240.235 please state it in your original language? Babelfish isn't too good a translator and perhaps we could find a native speaker of your language who can better understand? --Santax (talk · contribs) 17:47, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

- I think it's something like this: "I discovered a large number of bots in <some location>. The bot characters are all E/W and are created automatically for pre-programmed actions. Once the actions have completed, all items will go into storage, and these characters will get deleted automatically and a new one created. You can go to <some location> and see it, all the elementalists talk to the same NPC and travel the exact same path." Where is "in unita and the enemy"? -- ab.er.rant 05:10, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

- I have 2 things to say: 1) the OP is from china, or somewhere around there. 2) It could be making money through battle commendations or something like that. — Ebañy Salmonderiel 15:47, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Probably talking about Shing Jea Monastary international districts. Nyktos 00:22, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- All I can say is 'lost in translation'. But I suspect it's Shing Jea Monastery/Island because Prophecies hardly gives money for rewards, and Elona's early money rewards were balanced to be lessened and rewarded later. That leaves the mine of experience and money that we call Shing Jea Island. Most of the bots I've seen run in international districts (Rilohn Refuge ID1, take a look). So Shing Jea ID1 is likely the spot. Calor (t) 19:12, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Wiki It...
Someone was discussing something called a clockwork today... I asked what it was and immediately the response i got was "guildwiki". That's all fine and good, this is a great site and i use it alot, but than i realized it was a scythe weapon and felt disgusted. It would've taken less effort to type merely "scythe"... What is wrong with some people? I understand using this place for something like an explanation on how to beat a mission, because it's alot to say. But a scythe? Honestly i wish to know why people obsess over redirecting players to this site for miniscule questions. I can't keep my internet browser open while i play the game because it slows down the framerate. It's just a pain in the ass opening the internet countless times to fulfill a little curiosity when some moron couldnt' tell me what a clockwork was in one word. Scythe, SCYTHE, it's 6 letters, guildwiki is 9. Ridiculous. I'm just baffled and frustrated, sorry for the rant. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:68.193.113.198 (talk).
- Some people don't like giving answers, and they assumed you would ask more questions, like "Where do I get it?" and "Is it rare?" and "How much is it worth?". Calor 02:46, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- By asking a question you could easily find out the answer to yourself, you're wasting their time. --71.229.204.25 02:48, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, some people just don't like to answer questions, but for some unknown reason, they choose to answer it anyway, and then insult and blame the poor fellow for wasting their time when they're the ones who's taking the bother to answer questions... Strange mentality. But in any case, the person who answered guildwiki may genuinely not know the answer and could be trying to be helpful by mentioning the wiki. -- ab.er.rant 03:57, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
concerns for gw2

Hi
My paragon's hair is transparent. It's the one with the gold wing ornature and it's colored silver. I don't understand how no attempt to fix this has been made since Nightfall's release.
- Clipping and model errors aren't the primary concern of ArenaNet, although they do notice it. Calor 22:25, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Post the issue over here [1] it'll be fixed if it can. Kypp Duron 15:04, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

WDF IS A gibberbot ?!?!?!
asd
- A gibberbot is an automated program that adds random gibberish to a wiki page, for reasons unknown. (Those that sometimes make themselves known on this wiki typically add a sequence of ~8 characters to a page, often at the beginning of the page. It's considered a form of vandalism. 15,000 Articles
The wiki has just reached 15000 articles, awesome Alovich 23:07, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

- I think so too. If you start digging around deep, you'll start noticing a lot of missing pages for obscure NPCs and quite a few interactive objects. And there many guides and build concepts that can be written. More lists of collector items, unique items, skill lists, quest lists, mission lists, etc... I'm sure we could get there. Unless of course, GW2 comes up early :D -- ab.er.rant 05:08, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I think important notices, such as the "down for maintenance" one, should be bordered in a bright color to draw the eye.72.221.80.45 11:41, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's at the top of every single page on the wiki. Every. Single. One. In all namespaces. It even shows up when editing said pages. It's kind of hard to miss. -Auron 11:57, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- But it blends with the tones of the other colors on the page and, therefore, does not draw the eye to it.72.221.80.45 13:01, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Did you see it? Yes, you did. So it's ok ;) poke | talk 14:26, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's not really the colouring that affects the people that see it anyway - it's the fact that it's usually not there and is above every page header on every page at every time (unless you dismiss it). -- Brains12 \ Talk 14:43, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- "unless you dismiss it" - which implies that you have seen it. poke | talk 14:47, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

NPCs
Why isn't Artisans under the NPC list on the main page? 24.205.190.32 07:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- They are listed under Crafters. If we included every type of NPC rather than under a common banner there would be a lot more links on the main page cluttering it up. --Kakarot 17:59, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
