Strength

Strength is the primary attribute of the Warrior profession.
“When you use attack skills, each point of Strength gives you 1% armor penetration. Many skills, especially those related to surviving and inflicting damage, become more effective with higher Strength.

Strength adds 1% of armor penetration for each rank to attack skills that don't already have it.

- A simple rule of thumb to understanding Strength's effect on damage is that each point roughly equates to 1% bonus weapon damage when using an attack skill (+damage from attack skills ignore armor). Slightly more at higher levels against 60-80AL targets, slightly less at lower levels against +100AL targets. Peak damage is reached against 60AL, with effectiveness dropping off against lower armor in the same manner as higher armor.
- The inherent effect does not apply to attack skills which already have armor penetration such as Penetrating Chop.
- Most Strength skills are melee attacks or offensive stances. Strength also contains a number of skills related to adrenaline gain, attack speed, self-healing, defense, movement speed and bypassing or punishing blocking.
- Strength is one of the attributes that are used as requirement for shields.
- Strength has the most skills linked to it out of all the primary attributes.
- The Warrior of Balthazar blessing increases Strength by 1, even if your character's primary profession is not Warrior.
