Warrior
15k glads vs glacial
http://wiki.guildwars.com/images/0/09/User_Biz_15kglads_glacial_issue.JPG
Seems like there is a small gap on the elbow of (male) warrior wearing 15k gladiators armor and glacial gauntlets. Hardly something noticeable but visible to others as well as self. Biz 16:03, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like this happens with a few different gloves. Thanks for the report. -Kim Chase 00:16, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Armor: 15K Dragon Armor Helmet
http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/3375/dragonarmorglitchyp6.jpg
Issue: There are two long gaps in the male Elite Dragon Armor helmet model on top of it, easily seen from a zoomed out above angle.
How to fix: Fill in the gaps in the model.
Additional info: None
- This has been reported. Thanks. -Kim Chase 00:30, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Highlander Woad Issue
There is a little triangular piece of the woad under my character's right ear, as displayed in the picture above. Guildies of mine could also see it. It's not very noticeable from a distance, but it looks bad when zoomed in. Thanks for your time.--Zakek Xek talk 16:20, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Non-elite Gladiator
Armor: Gladiator
http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/830/bug1uq0.jpg
Issue: Both hands of the warrior are not attached at all to the forearms' protections, you can see-through in the space between. Sometimes they are off-centered too. It's even more obvious when the character is seated or performing an emote.
How to fix: Fill in the gaps in the model.
Additional info: None
- Looks like it's that way on the Elite too. Thanks for the report. -Kim Chase 00:47, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Luxon armor
Female Warrior Luxon Armor: Warrior Luxon armor
Quality Error 1Quality Error 2Shadow Error
Issue: As you can see in the links provided, there seems to be some quality issues on the legs. I have marked in red around the areas that seems to be medium or low quality even though I have my game set to high. In the second link there is also a blue box showing how much the quality changes on the model even in an adjacent rendering triangle. Lastly, there's also a very interesting bug with the shadows on this model. I have provided a full screen image of the shadow of myself. I am running the KSMod to show all models in town at full quality, all shadows are working fine except for mine. The skin seems to be the only part of my character casting a shadow. (i.e. where armor should cast a shadow, there is nothing). I have a full -image, never seen either of these bugs before. No other characters or shadows appear this way.
How to fix: Leggings may have a miscalculation in the texture to polygon mapping thus distorting the quality on parts of the legs. Shadow issue... Har, I don't know that much, but the calculations seem to be skipping the armor.
Additional info: Only this armor does the shadow thing, no other characters. Happens in all towns.

Issue: The leg portion of the armor appears to be angled awkwardly at the hip, where the upper and lower body armor pieces meet (on the left side of the character). This causes an incredibly ugly appearance on an otherwise beautiful armor. The awkward hip looks terrible while standing still, and juts around in funky manners during some emotes (such as dancing), while running, and during combat.
How to fix: Perhaps adjust the angle that the leg armor meets with body armor at the hip? Tilt it slightly so that it is nearly even as with the other armors? Maybe some fixing to the way the armor attaches itself to the character skeleton? Not sure HOW entirely, just know WHAT needs fixed, sorry.

Armor: Tinted Spectacles

How to fix: Raise to cover eyes
Additional info: Compared to the two screenshots on Tinted Spectacles, they ride really low on my ranger's face, only covering his eyes at all when looking from an angle low enough to look up his nostrils.
Monument armor
Armor: Ranger Monument armor
Media:User_Goteki-45_female_ranger_monument_glitch.JPG
Issue: The Geometry of the arms and hands become twisted and bizarre when doing emotes.
How to fix: My guess would be that the model's rigging needs to be fixed, But I haven't done any 3D work so I'm not totally certain.
Additional info: I know the issue affects female rangers, I'm unsure if it affects male rangers as well. The hands become crushed to a point, the arm rotated around, the fingers stretched and splayed. Most easily seen while doing /guitar and /violin, but it is apparent for nearly all emotes.

http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/BlizzardFenrir/RangerLeatherLongCoatBug.png
Issue: The lighting on the inside of the coat is lighter than the outside.
How to fix: Fix the light maps of the texture.
Additional info: It's not just that the inside is lighter than the outside; when facing the light, the inside is darker while looking away from the sun the inside is lighter! The problem probably lies in the light mapping. It might also be the angle, seeing as the angle of the inside is always the opposite of the outside.
In the supplied image, the right picture if facing towards the sun, and the left is facing away.
Asuran armor
Armor: Ranger Asuran armor
Issue: The chest area looks like the flesh is fighting with the clothes, so the skin sort of peeks through.
How to fix: Not sure. :(
Additional info: It seems to be worse if the character is facing towards any light.
- I don't see any skin clipping through the armor. Maybe I'm missing something. Could you post a screenshot or describe the issue in detail? -Kim Chase 20:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Armor: Monk Kurzick armor
Issue: During some animations, such as dancing or a select few casting animations, the male monk Kurzick pants create a sort of gap around the knee area.
How to fix: Extend this part of the pants up a bit more to cover it? Or make the pant leg come outward a bit further to cover the leg? It's sort of hard for me to tell which is the issue, the leg clipping through the pant or the pant itself.
Additional info: As far as I am aware it only occurs on the male monk pants, but may possibly also occur on female pants?

Issue: Basically, when you wear the arm design for either of the aforementioned sets, there are pieces that cut off. These pieces are part of the chest design, though when the chest design isn't worn (or a different chest piece is worn), these small triangles cut off and look ridiculous.
How to fix: Either eliminate the patches that would be joined with the chest piece, or move those pieces to the chest piece itself.
Additional info: I did not test this with any other sets besides the Dragon and Labyrinthine sets. I like mixing and matching armor sets, and as you can see by the images attached, I use only the Arm design from the Labyrinthine Set, and I use the Chest and Leggings from the Elite Saintly.

Issue: The armor has a red tint when seen some distance away. The result is that under any dye other than red, it looks somewhat weird unless you are very zoomed in on the character.
How to fix: Remove the red tint?
Additional info: The screenshot below (beware, it's a huge file) shows the tint on one chest piece dyed white. The first is a zoomed in image, in which the tint is invisible. The second one is a zoomed out image, in which the tint is clear (just in case, the third is a copy of the previous image marking some areas where the tint is seen). The fourth image shows how the tint is visible outside the Dye Preview window.
- This glitch appears on all parts of the armor when zoomed out, regardless of dye color. Texture quality appears very bad. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.171.196.182 (talk • contribs) 18:35, 7 September 2007 (UTC).

Gender privilege
Armor: Necromancer Elite Scar Pattern armor
Issue: The female version can be dyed, yet the male cannot
How to fix: make dye also affects the male version
Additional info: No need to add a bikini to the male version, so that they can also dye two parts of their armor, simply making the pants dyeable would be fine ;)

Issue: As the Tunic hides a part of the head, it overlaps with several headgears: the Scarecrow Mask [1], the Mummy Mask [2], the Mask of the Mo Zing [3] and likely the Dread Mask.
How to fix: Make the Tunic cloaks the Headgears.
Additional info: I've only seen it on a male Necromancer, but I suppose this problem also appears on female Necromancers. As the standard version of this Armor also has a similar shape, i suppose the issue could also appear there. The Scarecrow Mask has also clipping issues without armor on (see picture 1)
Monument Leggings

Issue: The female leggings use a lower-res texture than the rest of the armor, or other prestige armors for that matter. It's a rather noticeable difference in the quality of the pieces.

Issue: Female leggings clip when carrying certain bundle items (Item spells, seeds). They also clip terribly when walking/running while holding the item.
How to fix: Somehow adjust the positioning of the Leggings so that they stay aligned with the legs themselves. It would actually look much better if the whole legging wasn't a solid piece, or if it were shorter like the regular Profane leggings.
Additional info: Not affected by items such as the Repair Kit and Flag on the Nameless Island.

Eye of the North Gauntlets
- ← moved to /resolved
I was wondering if the special Eye of the North Gauntlets look on mesmers is intentional? On mesmers the glacial gauntlets, for example, look very weird. They end abruptly at the wrist and look so tiny, it's hard to notice them. I assumed it was done on purpose to avoid clipping issues, but wasn't entirely sure. Monument armor
In virtually any pose outside of /attention, the female's skirt is 'torn' at the back in a glaring visual error. In addition, the torso does not fully meet at the narrowest portion of the waist, resulting in a 'line' of black dots midway through the body. These dots 'flicker' as the character moves and breathes. Adjusting graphics settings simply changes the smoothness of this line. Image: Monument Armor Glitches
- I have the dots as well, so it might be less of a hardware issue there. The skirt does look awkward, even though I suppose it's supposed to be from the Mesmer's stance when standing, with one leg straight and the other bent slightly. I think it could look better, since the FoW and similar armor skirts don't have this issue. Yukiko 07:43, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello there, though old, there is still a clipping issue with the mesmer female elegant armor / performer armor with a special haircut as you can see below. These armors are really nice but i know a few people still frustrated about this issue and it's ruining all the excellent work that has been put in the design of this model... You would make some people happy if you could do something for that issue :-)

Shing Jea armor
My female mesmer has Shing Jea Attire (top coat) and Courtly leggings. There is a triangle shape that 'floats' on the front of the attire, right over the golden brocade trim. This triangle is related - or is actually from - the leggings under it. I noticed the triangle when I changed to Shing Jea Attire from Courtly Attire that was dyed royal blue - thus getting a royal blue triangle over the green Shing Jea( the leggings were dyed royal blue). I dyed the courtly leggings green, and now have a green triangle. When the leggings are removed, the triangle is gone. So, it seems to be related to the leggings. It's like there is a 'hole' in the Shing Jea that lets the leggings show through, but the hole is on the brocade trim and very annoying.

Obsidian Armor (female)
Hello! I know this one is an oldie too...but there are several spots that clip on the mesmer FoW set as well. When dyed lighter colors you can see some small "slits" on the torso...these weren't so bad when I dyed my armor white and later black. The skirt has the same issue as the Monument skirt, where the back has gaps when running or walking. The gaps aren't as visible when the armor is dyed black--and look flesh colored, while dyed any other color the gap looks like a black splatter. Its notated on the bug page for the armor as well. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Mesmer_Obsidian_armor I usually wear my guild cape to cover it. Anti-Aliasing Armor Bug
Anti-Aliasing: Anti-Aliasing Armor Bug
http://wiki.guildwars.com/images/c/c5/User_Core_Shadow_1.jpg
Issue: White Flickering Pixels on Most Armor. Seem's to be an issues with newer video cards (1 or 2 years old) (Nvidia, AMD and ATI cards) where with most armor has this constant flickering of white pixels, all over the armor when anti-aliasing is turned on. I have talked to many players in-game and they also have this issue, I've searched the internet to see if there is any way to resolve it but found nothing except for others with the same problem. This only happens in guild wars and not with any other games, and I do have the latest divers and I have tried rolling back to older diver versions but still had the same problem.
How to fix: only way to fix is to turn off Anti-aliasing which I do not want to do, or get armor that doesn't flicker, which has made me waste a lot of money on armor sets I've had to scrap because of this.
Additional info: Happens all the time. I've tried to take some screen shots but it is hard to capture the flickering because it happens every frame all over the armor. I could post more armor sets that have this issue but that would take me a few hours and I think these pictures show enough.

- 1. Please ensure you have fully up to date drivers. 2. Have you tried -repair? It could be a a corrupted .dat. 3. Listing the card(s) affected will surely help. 4. Finally what operation system(s) does this appear on? Dominator Matrix 02:52, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- *I have reformatted, reset bios and done data repairs, disk checks, reinstalls, updated every driver on my computer, still nothing, I am using windows XP, my video card is a nvidia geforce 9800gt / 4gb of ddr2 ram / p5n sli motherboard / Intel Core2 Duo E6600. I know its not just my video card because I have talked to other players with this same issue and they have different cards (ati, AMD and nvidia) if you look here, there are others who have posted about this issue here http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/ArenaNet_talk:Art_bugs#Eye_of_the_North:_All_Armor_.22Sparkles.22 I have found posts in other forums as well --Core Shadow 03:33, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
-->After working with ECS we have found that it is indeed a problem with Guild Wars. According to their rep the reasons for the issues are as follows... 1) Geometry calculation is off and the framing is showing without texture 2) Plain old texture bug, because it is perfectly recreatable --Core Shadow 22:15, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Eye of the North: All Armor "Sparkles"
There seems to be some major aliasing issues with ALL EOTN armor, including player armor. Movement of any kind brings out nasty bright white "sparkles" along the rim of the armor. This aliasing gets much worse the farther the viewer gets. Its very difficult to see in this image, but please look closely...
- It's very easy to see in-game, just rotate a GW:EN hero and a NF hero in the inventory, or take them out on a run and you will see it clearly. It almost looks as if the wireframe is showing through on all EOTN models, but I don't know for sure. Please take a close look in game, thank you. -Gemini Knight Juno 07:21, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Many (but not all) armors and NPCs from EotN have issues with white dots appearing around their polygonal edges. This is not related to AA as it is present regardless of the graphical settings. I have tested several machines that show this bug. They vary greatly in system specifications yet all seem to have this issue (nVidia,ATI,AMD). The only examples I can find of bug free configurations are those running VERY old versions of graphical drivers (not much good for those of us with newer hardware). Another Example
- Aliasing was just the only way I could describe it. This has bothered me since the release of EOTN, and I'm glad there are others who see it too. Maybe enough reports can get this long standing issue resolved. -Gemini Knight Juno 23:32, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- White dots along edges isn't a GW:EN armor related thing, it seems to be a general GWs bug to do with anti aliasing - I get it with my monk's bare skin along the arms, the fingers of my characters, some weapons, etc even with anti aliasing maxed. It seems to have a chance of occuring with any sharp edge. If a texture seems jagged otherwise, you may have to enable a.a. for transparent textures externally via your graphics card driver for GWs (not a default setting for NVIDIA drivers at least, probably because it takes a lot more processing power) Jennalee 09:20, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- It is definitely related to EOTN armor, as it happens with no other campaign. The only way to 'fix' it is to turn Shader Quality all the way down, but then a lot of textures lose their pop. Tool 311 18:04, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Its not very easy to fix at all. Try selecting vsync (to limit the FPS to what the monitor can use). Its an heat/electro static issue/<pick a reason>. Not GW only, so either reinstall drivers/check the heat sink/return the card/ignore it. Dominator Matrix 19:58, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Shader Quality Armor Bug
Shader: Shader Armor Bug
Issue: White Flickering Pixels on Most Armor. Seems to be an issues with newer video cards (1 or 2 years old) (Nvidia, AMD and ATI cards) where with most armor has this constant flickering of white pixels, all over the armor when Shader quality is above Low setting. I have talked to many players in-game and they also have this issue, I've searched the internet to see if there is any way to resolve it but found nothing except for others with the same problem. How to fix: when you turn Shader quality to the low setting makes it have less.
Additional info: Happens all the time.
--Core Shadow 02:51, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Dye Problems
I'm not really very good at posting these things, but here goes; I recently bought a stormbow and got some glacial gloves, because these are both light blue items, I wanted to dye my armour light blue also. Obviously the choice for light blue would be blue and white. I mixed them together and, although in the inventory screen i have light blue, on the actual game, it just appears as grey, its a completely different color, i have a screen to prove this, thanks, oh if it helps I am a R/Me and I have Canthan armour.
Chaos Glove vanishes
Whenever I see someone wearing chaos gloves and they are near either someone using a Phantasmal Tonic or a Voice of Grenth or Rift Warden, if you stand at the right angle so that the Voice of Grenth/Rift Warden or Phantasmal Tonic user is between the person wearing the chaos gloves and myself, all of the arm area covered by the chaos gloves vanishes, making the person's arms look like half sized stumps. I don't know if this is anything bit at all, i just thought i should report it. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Shadow Blood Dagger (talk).
- that's an interesting problem... once one's able to visualize it. do you have any screen shots of the problem? and does it apply to profession- and gender-specific characters? azalea||chat 15:45, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
