Dagnar Stonepate is the cousin of Jalis Ironhammer and the founder and original leader of the xenophobic Stone Summit. With the Stone Summit, he has begun a civil war in the Shiverpeak Mountains with the Deldrimor Dwarves, enslaved many other races including Dolyaks, snow beasts, and humans, and aspires to rule all of Tyria.

- The mounted model of this creature has a miniature version.
- In the Prophecies game manual, Dagnar Stonepate is called "Dagnar Stonesplitter."
- When together, Dagnar and his Drake have an Elementalist boss aura and Dagnar wields a wand, but when the dwarf is on foot (during the end cinematic of the Frost Gate mission), he has a Warrior boss aura and wields a Summit Axe.
- According to the Prophecies Prima Guide, as a warrior without his drake he is level 24.
