Game mechanics[edit]
- Like poison, disease is a condition which causes 4 pips of health degeneration to a character and turns the Health bar green. Diseased characters are surrounded by a green mist containing black flies.
- Unlike poison, it can spread between creatures of the same creature type which are adjacent to each other.
- It is the only condition that transfers between creatures.
- In most circumstances, an application of Disease affects each creature only once.
- Like poison and bleeding, disease only affects fleshy creatures.
- Upgrades
- A Rune of Purity or the inscription "Cast Out the Unclean" will reduce disease duration by 20%.
Countering Disease[edit]
- In areas with numerous sources of Disease, you can reduce the threat of an epidemic by:
- Bringing party-wide condition removal (e.g. Extinguish) to prevent an epidemic. Mystic Corruption with a teardown specifically removes disease.
- Maintaining Tainted Flesh on party members as much as possible to make them immune and reduce the risk of the condition spreading.
- Using non-human heroes (Jora, M.O.X, Ogden Stonehealer, Pyre Fierceshot, Vekk, and Zhed Shadowhoof) or henchmen (Brutus, Sheena, and Talon Silverwing).
- Keeping your party spread out.
