Point blank area of effect (PBAoE) describes a type of skill that creates a small area of effect from the location of the user or a target, which does not persist over time. Some skills can trigger PBAoE multiple times during their respective durations.

Notes[edit]
- Ward spells and Shouts are sometimes confused as point blank area of effect skills, as they initially affect a set radius around the user. However, the former persist on the original location and the latter affect an area far beyond point blank range.
