Signet

Skill type. A signet is a type of skill which costs no energy or adrenaline to activate. Signets are typically balanced with normal skills by a high recharge, activation time or a condition which must be met for them to be effective.
Because they are in essence "free", Signets can be used while recovering energy and to save adrenaline, and can even be used when a player has no energy or adrenaline. This is a form of passive energy management.
Note that although all signets cost no energy or adrenaline, not all "free" skills are signets. Examples of "free" non-signet skills include spirit attacks, celestial skills, some mission-specific skills, festival minigame skills and many NPC-only skills.
