Notes[edit]
- This skill is a staple energy management skill for primary paragons, even at 0 command, as it allows to trigger the Leadership's energy gain effect frequently and without halting attacks.
- It can also indirectly help primary Assassins via Critical Strikes.
- This skill can help party members to meet the critical hit-dependent effects of skills such as Keen Arrow.
- Assuming a mastery rank of 12 (roughly a 12% critical chance), rank 13 command is enough to guarantee a critical hit with this skill.
- As with most skills affecting the next attack, this shout will affect attacks already in-flight when used.
- The shout seems to end before the attack hits, triggering relevant Finales before the attack connects, but Soldier's Strike is still unblockable.
- Synergizes with a Minion master since:
- It affects allies, so the more minions the party has, the more damage will be added by this skill.
- Unlike party members and pets that gain bonus damage from attack skills, generally all of the damage of minions is their base damage, causing them to benefit disproportionally from landing critical hits.
Anomaly.Contrary to what the description suggests, this skill triggers on hit rather than on attack. For instance, if Cyclone Axe hits several foes, only one of them has increased chance to be critically hit.
Trivia[edit]
- The skill name is based on the oft-repeated battle cry of Minsc in the RPG game, Baldur's Gate, which itself is an homage to the 1981 film, Clash of the Titans. (Listen to the shout at YouTube).
