Talk:Divinity Coast (explorable area)

Some info[edit]

There is nothing to do here yet. All entrances to divinity coast are blocked. There is a area effect to prevent you from shadowstepping out. You can see the new laboratory of Zinn and Blimm. The way to Blimm is blocked by a golem, but you can see this: Blimm Experiment.jpg

Interesting, I haven't yet managed to check if you can shadowstep to explore more. Would have been interesting to see if you can VQ or add % to cartographer among other things. Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 01:25, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
There is an area affect called Loose Energy that causes all skills but shouts and stances to fail so Anet has learned from the trial of zinn. - Giant Nuker 01:29, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Hench can sometimes glitch thru the cart blockade; use Recall near the secret passage. Shaemoor's gate is locked. =[ Ooh, the bridge in Loamhurst is down, and there's a ... enemy among the Mantle.24.197.253.243 01:31, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

An Elementalist boss w/ the name "..." --24.197.253.243 04:20, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

I noticed that some of the enemies had a skill that had Charm Animal's icon, but its name and description were also merely "..."--Res 05:47, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Can someone clearly explain how to use Recall to get past the villager?Satrec Pylonag 19:44, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

I haven't figured out how to get heroes/henchmen past the cart, but what you can try is cast Recall immediately on one of your heroes/henchmen upon zoning in, before moving. Loose Magic doesn't affect you until you start walking around. If you can figure out how to get your hero/henchman past the blockade, you can then release Recall. Veron 22:55, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

I just got past it. Takes a whole lot of patience. Flag your heroes/hench/whatever to the right hand side behind the cart. Worked for me after 20 minutes of waiting. Also now that I'm back here, I see a WM character with a pet Elder White Tiger which is really strange as aren't those Canthan? 24.21.12.64 23:24, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Realy need more detailed info on how to get past baricades. I've been trying for 30 min now and nothing. The only way that i could see beyond baricades is to flag heros behind baricade and then go where livia is and die (with vamp weapon) then some of the henches (somehow) would go on other side and i could use his line of sight to explore a bit.

Yes. As above - I cast recall on a henchman (Alesia) and made my heroes do the same thing (but this turns out to be irrelevant). Flagged the whole lot a short way North of the wagon-villager blockade. In about 20 minutes, Alesia turned up at the flag. Got as close as I could to her, and discontinued recall and it worked (this time). I went off solo to explore, learning that the Loose Magic area effect does disappear a bit more than an aggro circle from the barricade. It takes 30 seconds to wear off. On returning, I found that all the heroes and henchmen were at the flag, past the barricade.Dwst 07:52, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

The area is not vanquish-able. The helmet icon is gold already, it does not keep count of enemies killed, and the map does not have a helmet icon associated with the name.Dwst 07:52, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

... Where did they find a Seer ? How did they know the Seers were the key ? Is this Seer dead ? Is it being tortured ? Or did it choose to help ? For now it seems highly unethical and I am shocked O__O 213.166.209.6 12:40, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Wouldn't every single one of you guys love to shoot blue-light-stuff into a seer, its like one of my dreams.--Markisbeest 12:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Yena, I was joking^^ But my questions still stand, I hope we'll get answers regarding the Seer's presence... 213.166.209.6 20:29, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Just assume it's the Seer that gets face-stomped if you ignore the bonus in Hell's Precipice. --- Ness Hrin User Ness Hrin SBIcon.png | 20:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Well and why Asuras should NOT know about Seers? We can make an easy assumption that even Mhenlo or others could tell a bit about their adventures during Prophecies campaign. They are all present in Rata Sum, where we can also find Blimm. And also strangely enough, Rata Sum is an anagram for Mursaat and in fact, we got Asuran Summon Mursaat skill :) That's why Asuras may even know a lot more about Mursaats than players themselves. Tazeru 21:04, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
The Seers help us take less damage from the Mursaat skill Spectral Agony, and during the dialog in the shining blade camp where Zinn and Blimm are recruited we tell them about the skill, so they must be using the seer to find a way to protect the golems or whatever they are making in that lab to help the shining blade from the Mursaat. - Giant Nuker 22:46, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
It's the Seer's annual checkup. He has nothing to fear...until the Blimm gets the rubber glove! 114.151.243.37 13:58, 11 October 2010 (UTC)Ryoko

Environment effect[edit]

The description of the environment effect is not precise: you can still use skills like stances. I'll check for more --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:83.10.186.189 (talk).

Bosses[edit]

I have seen Glyd Swiftwing with the Tengu there may be others with the enemies. - Giant Nuker 17:32, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Found the ... Boss. Shares the same skin as a White Mantle Savant and has the elite Elemental Attunement and the skills Aura of Restoration, Glyph of Elemental Power, Searing Heat, Rodgort's Invocation, and Ebon Hawk. Might have other skills, that's just what I saw. PariahUser Pariah Pariahmoa.pngtalk 23:59, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Also has Ward Against Elements... any bets on it being Lovisa? 24.197.253.243 17:19, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Very possible. I hadn't even thought to look at the Inquisitors who haven't appeared ingame yet. However, wouldn't they just name her Lovisa when they place her instead of just the three periods? PariahUser Pariah Pariahmoa.pngtalk 03:00, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Uh, may I ask how you people know there are all these NPCs there? When I go there, I only see the villagers, merchants, blimm, gox, zinn, livia, the golem sentry and a group of tengu with a boss... So where's all these other enemies and how can I get there? -- Konig/talk 16:01, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Weapon Animations[edit]

Worth noting that they don't happen here? -Tong2 18:56, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

yes, they do.Tong2 19:01, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Elder White Tigers[edit]

The White Mantle Champions here have Charm Animal and they use it on Level 15 Elder White Tigers. Adding note to reflect this, as it's rather odd for a Canthan pet to be in a Prophecies area. PariahUser Pariah Pariahmoa.pngtalk 23:42, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

In addition, next to the Shaemoor Gate Guards there's an uncharmed one, this would be the first time a character without Factions can charm a factions animal. PariahUser Pariah Pariahmoa.pngtalk 00:35, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
i dont know if it didnt spawn or what but i found no said tigers- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 22:39, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Maybe try again. They were there for me. If I had brought Charm Animal I could have charmed the one I found near the Shaemoor guards. Next time I'm in I'll snag a screenie as proof, if it's needed. PariahUser Pariah Pariahmoa.pngtalk 02:58, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Question.. i tried this.. but i'm not able to cast Recall because of the Environmental Effect.. help anyone?66.190.179.247 21:21, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
^ ^ Forgot to log-in.Sloh Em Oshun 21:22, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
You have to cast it when you just get in because there is a small area at the start that's not affected by the environment effect - Giant Nuker 21:44, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Actually, the last update fixed that and now it won't work anymore. The entire area is affected by the Loose Magic now. -- Konig/talk 02:45, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

1079 AE?![edit]

Man, two years have passed since the events of GW:EN. It's not 1079 but 1080 AE. Tell me, then why on Tyria was the MantleCon called "MantleCon 1080 AE", hmm? Also, there was an explorable area called D'Alessio Seabord 1079 AE (see Zora's notes about the current gw.dat browsing) but it got removed in the latest update! This implies that it's not 1079 but 1080 AE - in my opinion. --Thalador Doomspeaker 14:40, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

I Though this too, but aparently we are both wrong.--Neil2250 , Render Lord User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 14:41, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) MantleCon was a player-run event, and the fact that D'Alessio Seaboard got removed doesn't tell us that it's not 1079 AE but that there were originally plans for there as an explorable but they were scrapped. As that's the only indicator we have so far, that's our safest bet. --Santax (talk · contribs) 14:43, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
MC was titled 1080 because last year was 1079 AE which was called such because it was 1 year post EN. While Santax is right that it is "our safest bet" it is still speculation and thus doesn't belong on the page. -- Konig/talk 15:59, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

I didn't do anything special. I went there for a second time (That is, after seeing Blimm and Zimm working in the Lab) just today, after I had killed everything that was added today: Inquisitor Lovisa and Willhem the whatever (The Mursaat in Riverside). Cartography[edit]

To get 100% you’ll need to do the mission. The explorable area is laid out so that there is at least one area in the western portion you can't reach. Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 12:09, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Incorrect, You dont need to cover all of tyria for 100% carto, its not easy, but you can still get 100% without doing this mission.--Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 12:11, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm not talking about the title. I'm just talking about the explorable area. That's why I put it here not there. Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 12:24, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Those of us that know about cartography know that you don't need to complete 100% of every area/mission to get the title. You drew the wrong conclusion kid. Everything is going to be ok. Let it go. Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 12:38, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
whatever.--Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 12:48, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
@Sardaukar: I don't know what you are talking about, as I explored everything... Care to elaborate? --talk Large 18:39, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Using TexMod I entered the explorable area of Divinity Coast to get some area cleared off the western portion of the map. There was an area I couldn’t reach because the explorable area doesn’t let you get as close to the edge of the map as the mission version of the area. So I just entered the mission, got over to that area and I uncovered it. You can walk through the water in the mission version only. I think that’s what made the difference. Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 00:38, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Once you've done the Battle for LA you can explore all of Divinity Coast without enemies.User:NoggiecaNoggieca 21:54, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Without enemies or without WiK enemies (thus with mission enemies). -- Konig/talk 22:23, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Strange little "shop"[edit]

There is this strange little shoplike setup in the crater near the asura lab. A blacksmith flag and some tables yet no way to reach it, first thought in my mind "Medal of honor collector". Pure speculation but still, why in a crater (Ixillius 20:22, 12 June 2010 (UTC))

Rez Bug[edit]

Was just in the explorable, when there was a bug with rezzing; The team was teleported to the shrin, except Vekk was teleported but not Rezzed. Not normally a problem, however, with Loose Magic, Rezzing wasn't an option, (Except maybe scrolls) Anyone else experienced this? Jon Will - (Not logged in.) 92.28.100.188 20:28, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

Was Vekk degenerating before you guys rezzed? Because if he was still alive while you guys were rezzed, he is merely teleported, any conditions or hexes still apply. –User Balistic B d-dark.pngalistic 20:44, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

Oh, i hate it when that happens. ;) (Jaxx Hammer)--173.16.56.248 02:14, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

White Mantle HQ ?[edit]

Loamhurst fortress, now this is a well built fortress! Oh oh, once ya get past the drawbridge theirs NO ENTRANCE into the fort. Get out the chop saw Anet, this fortress needs a front door. Still, this place has potential.( Jaxx Hammer )--173.16.56.248 15:02, 30 June 2010 (UTC) Then theirs the stronghold at Shaemoor. This is a very large Keep within a Keep that protects the purification fountain and a very interesting door. Another portal here? The plot thickens. After Battle for LA[edit]

So you can still go into the area. Its still swarming with Mantle. Kindof expected that. The interesting part; the lab is blocked off by two Golem Sentries, but if your party dies you still get revived behind them in the lab. Note that you can not get out (except maybe with viper's defense, didn't try that), the lab is empty though the Seer is still there. You still can't walk into the room with the dead seer, its blocked off as if someone was still standing there. So if you plan on going back in here, don't die! Lillium 21:05, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Did you get a new SB bounty because I went back into this area and and Seaboard area and they were completely empty and it has been confirmed that getting another bounty brings them back. - Giant Nuker 21:31, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
So after the battle of LA, it is pretty much impossible to do a bounty in HM in Divinity Coast (unless you're just that good that you don't wipe) cause as you said I got rezed in the lab and couldn't get out cause the Golem Sentries were blocking my way. Do you think they will fix this? (Zimmleanna 01:48, 11 July 2010 (UTC))
I've finished the Battle for LA and when I go back into Divinity Coast I have nothing but NPC Villagers, the whole area is void of enemies. The only change I see is that there are 2 Golem Sentries with Zinn and Blimm behind them. odd User:NoggiecaNoggieca 21:50, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Ah, just checked with a Wanted bounty and the enemies are back but yup 2 Golem Sentries block the lab. User:NoggiecaNoggieca 21:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
