Cancer[edit]

Chemotherapy[edit]
Chemotherapy
(user skill)
Enchantment Spell. Only usable while under the effects of Cancer. As long as you maintain Chemotherapy on target ally, Cancer's health degeneration is reduced by 0...4...5, and its duration expires 1.25x as slowly. Has a 1...4...5% chance to remove the Cancer hex; if it does this enchantment ends. This chance can only be tried once every 60 seconds.

Notes[edit]
Trivia[edit]
- When first introduced, Cancer and Chemotherapy belonged to the Necromancer and Monk classes respectively (with differently colorized skill icons). For a while, the meta saw full teams of N/Mo Cancer/Chemo casters hoping to exploit the small chance of curing one of their members while obliterating the entire team after around 50 seconds. This was eventually solved by moving both skills to the Mesmer profession, making it impossible to bring both at a reasonably high attribute on a single character (and the skill icons were recolored).
Godfather[edit]
Godfather
(user skill)
Hex Spell. Make him an offer he can't refuse. For 2...6...7 seconds, every 2 seconds target foe is presented with a trading window covering their health and energy display that lasts 1...2...2 seconds. For every recurrence, you give target foe 120...60...45 gold. If a foe dies while hexed with Godfather, he drops 40...72...80% of the gold you lost during its duration.

Notes[edit]
- This skill is PvE-only.
- Most cutscenes that do not end missions are between 20 and 60 seconds.
- It is possible to recast this enchantment while your energy is still increased, essentially giving you a free skill.
- Since the December 21st, 2012 update, this skill has been offered to all professions for free from trainers in Pre-searing, Istan, and Shing Jea.
Truly Random[edit]
Effect. Fair it up. For 300 seconds, all players' bars are random skills of their profession(s). 65% chance highest attribute, 30% chance second or third highest attribute, and 5% chance unlinked. One skill is elite. One skill is resurrection signet. Cannot receive unusable weapon attacks.
Notes[edit]
- This effect is automatically applied to all players when they join Truly Random Arena and is reapplied every ten minutes after.
- This effect has been known to greatly increase team-resigns.
Trivia[edit]
- The last clause, that you cannot receive unusable weapon attacks, used to apply to all customized weapons in each character's inventory and their equipped weapon, but after the December 21st, 2012 update, it was changed to only the equipped weapon upon entering the arena due to a huge number of bars filled with incompatible and inconvenient-to-switch-to attacks.

Coffee[edit]
Coffee
(user skill)
Enchantment Spell. For 5...8...9 seconds, target ally gains +2...5...6 energy regeneration, moves 5...27...32% faster, and is not affected by skills that slow movement speed. When this enchantment ends, that ally loses all but 1...6...7 energy and moves 75% slower for 10 seconds.

- If recast before it ends, the energy will still be lost but the invulnerability to movement slowing will cancel the 75% slow. Consider enchantment lengthening or Arcane Echo.
- Be sure your team knows you are carrying this skill, as it can severely inhibit the unprepared.
Smother[edit]
Smother

Notes[edit]
- Due to the erratic and low heals at low attribute levels, this skill only seems worthwhile with Illusion Magic 9 or higher.
- Be careful. It may last longer at higher attribute levels, but that also means a longer delay during which you might die before you get healed.
- Can be good for preventing a known spike, especially because it causes healing, not health gain, and thus benefits from skills that increase healing.
- If recast before it finishes, you will be healed if you meet the condition.

Notes[edit]
- Reducing the headgear's armor by 50% effectively reduces the target's armor by 1/16 (6.25%), considering that headgear receives 1/8 of hits on average.
- This skill's introduction led to the discovery of which PvE foes wear separate "pieces" of armor. In general, if a monster is humanoid, it is counted as wearing individual pieces. Others will not receive the miss chance. However, the armor reduction is still applied on hits to the head for these monsters.
Trivia[edit]
- You really want this to refer to something? Just keep on dreaming.
- Elementalists are probably affected because their headgear largely consists of "third eyes".

- For a measure of distance, see Scorpion Wire. Note that pop-up usually occurs within a range of about 80 feet, or aggro bubble size.
