I used this to check if the Daily_activities could be fixed, to avoid the incorrect highlighting of the daily Nicholas Sandford item request between 07:00 UTC and 16:00 UTC.
It appears to work, but there are quite some changes involved, including an additional template lookup with a different time offset.
Ripped from Daily_activities for testing / fixing the problem with the offset on the highlighted item of Sandford's request between 07:00 UTC (?) and 16:00 UTC
- attempt (2012-06-10 23:00 UTC): #ifexpr:{{#time:H}} < 7 instead of #ifexpr:{{#time:H}} > 6 and {{#time:H}} < 16 => wrong after 0:00 UTC (until 07:00 UTC?)
- attempt: no expression at all, will likely result with the correct item highlighted but showing the wrong day until 16:00 UTC
- attempt (2012-06-11 14:00 UTC): original expression but Cycle/Sandford shifted by -9 hours to compensate for the difference between Sandford's and main cycle change. Data within () is from the shifted Cycle information, it is followed by the data from the template variable which obviously is not overwritten by the Cycle/Sandford template.
- attempt (2012-06-11 18:40 UTC): understanding how Template:Cycle works and when to use which parameter #1 value (SandfordV required to redefine #var:Sandford instead of just writing it to the output). Split into Original and Modified column. Values in these two columns should differ between 7:00 and 16:00 UTC but be the same otherwise, highlighted row should be the same.
- (2012-06-12 14:07 UTC): just noticed that the Original actually wasn't the original but like attempt #2 (no special expressions for changing the mark)...
- Note: Quests change daily at 16:00 UTC; Sandford's requests change at 7:00 UTC. If your browser does not update the available activities, you can refresh the list.
