Test Krewe[edit]
So Wasabi is on there? Is he selling early update information? Or has he finally stopped caring about e-gold? (lol, but seriously) ~>Sins WDB 18:18, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- White Wasabi made the test crew? I'm so glad I'm done with this game. I mean, surely you could be a little knowledgeable to make the test crew. No wonder the game sucks, they think ppl that buy their way into stuff know how to playtest/balance things. -- Tha Reckoning 20:51, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

To provide legitimacy to the ruse, JasonBacon here uploaded a screen shot that clearly says "Legendary Lena"...the name of the person he claims he isn't. Now that's like me posting things from Adrin's account, which would be silly and questionable, as I have my own account. Secondly, if I were trying to prove I was not a certain person, I would have blacked out the name Legendary Lena and just posted the picture. Next he names the picture--or titles the picture: "brother getting ecto"...either he is being smart as Lena to continue the ruse, or he is, as Jason, making it clear that he is using his brother's screenshot. To tie into your previous post of the guru screenie I felt the link I provided was also humorous on the same level as yours. Obviously, my irony wasn't clear enough without an explaination. I bring you a pointless theatrical continuation of an unfinished 3-man argument that started over on Kotex Arena...which will feature a likeness that is unmistakable parody and condensed down into the 2-man argument that Pling callously deprived me of ...yet clearly designed as the ramblings of 1 schizophrenic with 4 distinct voices ...every one of them, a B-net Oldfag...
And what generally starts it all: I'm bad and this new arena has bad skills so it STILL sucks for bad players who just wanna put up a good fight for a change, FFS! --ilr
- Derrrp, Codex is supposed to have bad skills. When the skills suck, you have to rely on personal skill. If noobs only fight noobs, they have no chance of getting better and they stay bad forever. ~Schill'd
- Okay I get the 1337 skill part but what might be fun for 1337 guildies --> isn't fun for the newbs they're rolling. If it was my arena, I'd give all the ranked players bad decks scattered over 5 attributes and give the real newbs (but not the smurfs) better decks from just 2 attributes. --ilr
- GDIAF, that would never work. If they want to learn they have to join a 1337 guild like we did and buff the 1337 guild leader's pickle like we did exactly like he instructs you to and then go RTFM again just to be sure. ~Schill'd
- Hai man, I been PpPying since Kali oldschool in the early ninetees when grunge came out. If I wanted to follow some tool's e-peen/ego cookie cutter bulshyte for every good game that comes out I'd have my own guild with blackjack and hookers. Back then, skill was knowing who NOT to get in a match with cuz everyone knew everyone. And now you can't even choose who you fight anywamore. It's NOT FUN like it used to be. --ilr
- Just stop plz. Shitway now was shitway then too. Everyone spamming b-lust ogres + unholy + decay. The only good battles were on the water or 6 way pro GoW. LoL Kali, Bad n00bs playing other bad n00bs... ~Schill'd
- Yeah? If it was so imba then why did they copy that same exact crap into SC in the form of Templars + Archons? Infact they made it worse cuz Psi was MOAR O^P'd but you seem to think Bliz can only poop out GOLD now. But back then the same exact ppl who make Anet so win were behind it all and we got 'em for this game now. --ilr
- No this is a shit game here and the reason Bliz can only poop gold now is b/c those lusers left and made this shit company. And I don't care how much they ban me I'll still call it shitty ~Schill'd
- Alright fine even if it was shit, that doesn't make new players shit by proxy. I think you clump "newbies" in too much with n00bs who run copypasta SWay builds. ...Newbies don't even know what they're running and just want to see a glimmer at the end of the tunnel somewhere so they can have a reason to keep trying! If they get drug down to pound town in every match they enter like they are now, they'll just give up b/c they don't even have Hero Battles and RR anymore. --ilr
- HB wasn't PvP, there's a reason it's gone now. Plus they still have RA. ~Schill'd
- RA isn't for newbs either damnit! It's also pound town but your random n00b teammates are the ones futtbucking the newby with chat RAEG cuz he brought mending or some other stupid shit. ..and then they just go to some other District to synch and farm you for LuLz! IT'S GHEY!! --ilr

(Reset indent) Yes actually, I thought we had a chance this time to play scrub ball. What's so wrong with that?? If new players are FORCED to join guilds, farm rank, and read a ton of fucking manuals just to start getting a few fair matches then most of them WON'T, they'll just go back to PvE where the newby fun really is. --ilr
- PvE isn't challenging enough. If it was more challenging they'd enjoy PvP more cuz they would develop some skill for a change. ~Schill'd
- They wouldn't have to get better if the only point was to just have fun like in the random ladder I proposed. --ilr
- They don't need to split the arena, noobs just need to learn to play, having skill is all that matters ~Schill'd

Rift Warden Quests[edit]
This wiki is a help to players. Listing a non-existing quest as being in the game is misleading information. Hexes[edit]
what do you think of putting a limit on hexes? perhaps 3? mMaybe replacing the the first cast hex if a new one is applied. so if hexes a b c were put on in that order, if hex d is cast it replaces hex a. that way you couldn't cover skills as much and if you fuck up and cover a hex too many times it screws you. i know that hex removal is the actual problem, but i'm talking anet logic here since they'll never really fix the problem. --adrin 11:29, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Still sounds to smart for something they would do, besides, they are too busy nerfing deadly paradox atm. Tidas 12:42, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hex removal isn't the problem, passive stacky Hexes are. If you buff Hex removal, all you're going to get out of it is nuking now strategically acceptable Hexes (for example snares and Domination Magic apart from Empathy, Backfire and Visions of Regret). A limit of 3 wouldn't fix the problem either as you could still spread roughly 2 Hexes on a party wide level covering one useful one. That's passive. A limit of two would be better but that could potentially invalidate casual Hexing as well. No, I'm afraid many Hexes (Curses in particular) need a rework. Dark Morphon 16:47, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- What morphon said. If you limit the number of hexes to 2 or 3, people will still be able to apply them more quickly than they can be removed. Conditions are in a good place. Many of them are strong, but there are a ton of condition removals, and many of them are on a fast recharge and also give a significant heal. Hex removal is not that way. The only hex removals people use are veil (for preveiling) and cure (for the heal), and seldomly spotless, because it's a decent anti-hex-stack spell. Those are all on 12 second recharges. Cover hexes are on 2-5 second recharges.
- Basically, hexes like faint need to have shorter durations and the recharges need to be equal to or longer than hex removals. ~Shard 21:21, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'd say it would need to be longer, because if it is equal you still need to cast the removal after the hex so it has had some time to recharge first. --Orry 00:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- Even considering the headaches mesmers can stack on the backline with Migraine? In a decent hexway team, you can spread five or six hexes to the healers, and unless all hex removal becomes "target ally loses all hexes", that's still going to be a problem (especially considering all the interrupts hexway can bring to bear as well).
- I'm wondering if a shared cooldown between similar hexes wouldn't be useful. Though, at this point, anything's better than what we have, and suggesting too many "solutions" all at once isn't going to help either. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 18:58, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- Global cooldowns are too diablo-ey. It would be better if each skill didn't have 25 nearly-identical copies. ~Shard 23:30, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- This entire game is too spammy with skills and making hex removals more spammable hasn't worked either when ya look at PnH. They better try a lot harder in Gw2... starting with a UI component that allows the hexed to select which hexes are removed first (like Draw Poker basically). Balancing around recharge times != balancing around "Timing" --ilr 23:55, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- You're both right - the two major problems the game faces are too many duplicated skills and too fast a pace. A global cooldown would greatly help the latter, but do nothing for the former. The pace issue is, I think, a side effect of the power creep. Skills being chain-activated with Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 18:46, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- With Yeen and his friends, we reconstructed the conditions GWFC players were playing on. It was indeed a fast paced game. --Boro 09:00, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- GWFC was a sinsplitfest. :< Did you manage to use the old versions of the skills as well as banning NF/EotN ones? (I can't load the forum link for some reason; maybe freeforums is down atm?) Also, there's a difference between fast-paced (which I honestly think is healthy for a PvP game) and too fast-paced (which is what we have today). -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 17:27, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

¾ cast times and etc is a lot more of a problem when you only need to get off two of those skills to kill someone. I don't believe the pace of the game was too fast back in Factions or Prophecies, but then, I didn't play competitive PvP then either. -- - With Yeen and his friends, we reconstructed the conditions GWFC players were playing on.
