Gandara, the Moon Fortress, dominates the south coast of Kourna, surrounded by the Elon river. In this explorable area, characters cannot actually enter the fortress proper. Only the outskirts of the fortress are accessible. To enter the fortress, characters will need to start the Pogahn Passage mission.

The only way to get here is via the Pogahn Passage outpost. The latter part of the primary quest No Me, No Kormir will point characters a short distance into this area.

• There is no way to gain entrance into the fortress from this area.
• Despite the presence of Kournan military, Kournan Bounty is not available here.
• These quests affect the spawns in this area:
  • A Thorn in Varesh's Side
  • No Me, No Kormir
• Complete exploration of this area contributes approximately 1.1% to the Elonian Cartographer title track.
• Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests requires defeating around 70 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 64 to 124.
  • The quest A Thorn in Varesh's Side will add about 50 enemies to this area. It is recommended to complete that quest prior to a vanquishing attempt. If not completed, the extra enemies will spawn regardless of whether the quest was accepted or not.
