The ruins of a capital city of an ancient border kingdom still haunted by some of its previous inhabitants, including its last king.

This ruined and crumbling city was once the home of King Sahlahjar, the last of his line. Sahlahjar's father had resisted Palawa Joko for years, but with Lord Joko's armies advancing, Sahlahjar gave into his fears and cut a deal with the undead lord. Shortly after, Sahlahjar's citadel was overrun by Joko's undead army. The unlucky king was gutted and his remains animated as Joko's court jester. Sahlahjar remains bitter about this.

The party will end up in this outpost upon completion of the Gate of Desolation mission. It is located in the middle along the northern edge of the Sulfurous Wastes.

It is actually possible to reach this location (via the northern entrance) without completing the aforementioned mission. Travel south into Joko's Domain from Basalt Grotto and circle around the northern side of the sulfurous sand area, heading west then south again. This outpost is near the southwestern corner of Joko's Domain.

• This is a mission outpost for a challenge mission, and thus the mission here is not part of the storyline; talk to Sahlahjar the Dead for the next primary quest.
• The explorable area where the mission takes place is required to complete the Elonian Cartographer title track. See Dynastic Tombs for more information.
