Dear diary[edit]

Day 1 - The start[edit]

I have started with my crusade today. Upon hearing the legend of the Black Moa Chick, I went to obtain the Moa Egg right away. Knowing that Zho knows how to rise a chick, I traveled to far north before the moas had a chance to push me off the cliffs into death penalty.

Upon arrival to Gunnar's Hold I entered the tournament to face Zho right away. Even after many failures victories, I still haven't met her. But after many retries, I have finally faced her in round 5. My Fercraw and her Onyx fought their own battle, while Zho and me exchanged dozens of arrows.

Despite her having much more experience with fighting rogue beast, I won after throwing a barrel worth of dust into her lonely eye. I continued fighting at the tournament, but was crushed by the last competitor.

After reading Zho's Journal, I traveled to Perdition Rock. I decided that the plan consisting of "run" and "pick up" will do and ran with 5 monks on team. I was burned at the last turn, so I decided to give myself a little buff with an old Birthday Cupcake and therefore change "run" to "run like hell." This time the strategy worked and it paid off... with a rock. Next thing to do was to go to Elona and get the Skree Wings.

I'll make that part short: After spending years months weeks days a long time and killing millions thousands hundreds lots of Skrees, I got only one wing. A bit Rather Very enraged I visited all nearby outposts and town, but I was lucky enough to get only one more. I decided to keep that for later and just move on to Bog Skale Fins.

Currently, at time of writing, I'm still killing everything I see moving/having red name and asking in outpost for the Fins. The chick will wait another day.

Update, first minute of next day: I have collected all Skale Fins and Skree Wings. Traded them both.

First, I continued farming skale fins and after about very many kills, received my prize. I rushed and traded them for the Herring. In the mean time, someone who has read this contacted me.

After, I went to create the Incubator. After few travels and jumping up and down from Cavalon to main city, I finally took off to my epic journey to Gyala Hatchery. After much running, I arrived. Oops, sorry, you can't enter. What.

It turns out I've been a bit of an a------ to Luxon and too much Mr. Awesome to Kurzick. So, I'll have to rise my reputation with them first. Or can I be ferried? Either way, to shorten my run for next time, I went to nearby outpost Eredon Terrace.

Well, I got the nesting material too. After making many, many Skree go from airborne to grounddeade in Resplendent Makuun and no luck, I decided to go into Hard mode and take a bounty. The investment paid off and after about... 140 kills, I got the wings. It's silly, I could actually just rip them off every single Skree I saw. If this would be realistic, I'd now have about 600 wings, not 5.

Well, it's time to end the day. I'm off to sleep. And I've been writing this update for 20 minutes already. I'm quite insane. Oh yes. But Not Too Clumsy.

Day 2 - FFF.[edit]

I decided to just go with the missing items first - first thing to get was a Honeycomb. And so, after finding the quest giver, running in circles, avoiding foes I didn't need to kill, fooling a bear and scaring a few drunkards away, I got 3 of them. The drunkards kinda reminded me of The Bear Hunters I met 8 or 6 so called years ago.

Next thing to get was a Branch of Juni Berries. When I've read that you get it from feeding Toma, I remembered that silly big crocodile thing right away. This didn't take me much time. But it's silly when you think about it. Me(y character) hasn't eaten for a long time; HMe only ate about 20 cakes and drank 17 ales in 8 years. Good thing I've bit the dust 728 times.

Next stop: Mourning Veil Falls. Oh, wait, I can't get in there unless I befriend the Kurzicks first. I decided to just hire a mercenary for this simply job of taking the egg into the waterfall. And after a long search, I found one that would do it for handful of money. Wait, does handful mean little? I meant the very opposite then. Anyways, I gave him the egg, he took it to the falls, and when he got back, he gave me the hardened egg and I gave him a new egg and many handfuls of gold. I probably forgot to mention that before everything, I fetched 2 more eggs.

When the man was doing his job, I went to get some Luxon faction. More precisely, 9195 faction. I was able to get somebody else to submerge the egg into Kurzick waters, however to get the incubator, I must talk to Katharine on my own, as the Incubator Kit gets customized. So I went to get some faction in The Jade Arena. And so, after many gold spent on Luxon blessing and many time spent on killing hordes of convicted criminals they have (Seriously, what's up with hundreds of criminals? They'll run out of NPCs), I was short 45 faction to 10,000. And after going to nearby hill, there were just enough enemies to give me exactly 45 faction.

Quick travel to Ascalon, I mean Cavalon, quick party with Elder Rhea, quick turtle quest (I've found a bug in a turtle quest. But it was eaten by turtles), and ta-dah! Gyala Hatchery! Oh wait, she's in explorable? So I have to finish the mission? Aww, man.

Well, only things left to do are: Finish the mission, get 50 planks, get incubator kit, put everything in incubator kit, go to Sorrow's Furnace and die a horrible death. And then, I salvage the Chick into Pure Awesomeness and sell it for one hundred million billion. Platinum. (Also school)

Day 3 - Turtles.[edit]

I've planned to get the egg hatched today, but harsh winter of the Shiverpeaks has slowed my progress. However, I have been able to complete the Gyala Hatchery mission (after 2 failures - once with henchmen and one with players - I have decided to finish the mission backwards; Decision paid off) and finally meet Katharine in that area. But before that, I had to get the materials for her. I've asked 2 material traders for Spiritwood Planks, but they couldn't give me anything; I went to Seitung Harbor and crafted 50 planks; for that I needed 5 Wood Planks, 10 Piles of Glittering Dust and 100 gold. Per piece. Luckily I had some wood planks and some dust in my storage, so I didn't need to buy much. However, it costed be about 20 platinum to get these materials. Did I mention I had to give additional 5 platinum for crafting the incubator?

Regardless, I am still going and decided that I will hatch the egg. My guildmate Gonki has joined me on my run to Sorrow's Furnace and currently we are at Copperhammer Mines. Tommorow our next stop will be The Granite Citadel.

Day 4 - Die another day[edit]

My Guildmate and I went on today. We rampaged our way to The Granite Citadel and slowly continued to Deldrimor War Camp. We've arrived to camp fairly quickly without any problems - except that we forgot to buy some keys in the citadel.

It was time to go hatch Ferry's egg. After resupply, we departed from the Camp. After having some navigational problems and restarting from outpost, we found our way in. But we died. And again, about 100 feet from the portal. When we actually suceeded to take the portal into Sorrow's Furnace, we also took Kilroy's quest before.

And Kilroy ran off the first moment. Actually, he ran off fast. Very fast. We had to follow him and kick everyone we could see in the face. And run. We were in such a rush I was even crushed once. After lots of running and skillcrushing, when we were getting quite near the central chamber and main boss, Killroy ran in front of us into a large group of mobs and died. And we were sent to outpost.

This has caused such an extreme rage, that in next trip to SF, we cleared the whole valley without anyone (on our team, obviously) dying. And so, we were inside, without silly Killroy on our side (on our side but in front of us). So we went on, killed much, went wrong way and got gutted by Dredge. So we took the right way. Note at that time I had -60% death penalty and pretty much average death penalty way about 30-40%. We proceeded with caution, taking foes off in groups of 3. We got to the fierce guardians when we realised we won't get much farther and decided to call it a day.

A lesson learned: Plan everything before you do it.

I guess I'll burn another day. Hang in there, Ferry.

Day 5 - No keys required[edit]

Have you ever gone to some place and when you're there you realize that you forgot the keys? Or rather, doing the quest to get a guy there that can blow up the doors? Well, I know I did. This was a pretty unproductive day. Apart from vanquishing the whole area... for the fifth time.

Day 6 - One by one[edit]

I decided to just go with the quests. We (Gonki is still helping me) first took the Kilroy's quest. After getting drunk to death and reviving, we decided to stop dreaming and go get Kilroy for an epic massacre. That was good. That was really good. I don't hate him as much as I did before.

And, we did that scouting quests. We were disguised in slaves disguised into some crazy dudes running around a cave with hundreds of enemies. And thumpers. I avoided them this time. For a change.

Right, 2 quests done, 3 to go. 3 because the second one will fail. Also spoiler alert right there. Does it even count as a spoiler?

In other news, I bought 5 Norn tournament tokens and got myself a Crown. It's pretty cool. And shiny. If it wouldn't be customized I'd probably give it to Gonki (Yes, I am serious, Gonki).

Days 7-12 - Unbearable[edit]

Day seven. The winds are cold and loud. It's one of those times when going around Shiverpeaks is something you'd only do for your survival. I decided to travel to Sanctum Cay. It's unbearable here. Gonki can be lucky that the ship he was on had to stay at The Battle Isles due to several ropes failing. Seems his short trip there paid off.

The dwarves say the spiky weather should we gone in a week or so. When I'll be back to war camp, Gonki will return just in time. Hopefully the shipyard is working at the capacity I expect it to. My caravan leaves in a minute or so. Good thing, I already hate this impossible cold.

Day 13 - It takes some time[edit]

The timing was right. As I came back from Sanctum Cay, Gonki also returned. Chon, the third member I haven't mentioned yet, has been busy vanquishing foes for the motherlab. Gonki and I went on and completed the Alkar's quest. Plus the squad got a new recruit. More on that tommorow.

Day 14 - to pick the dye.[edit]

All is over. The egg hatched. Ferry is to see the world for the first time.

After completing the quests and taking Mr. Blackpowder for a walk around the Furnace, we have finally got to the great doorway that has stopped us 9 days before. Paying respect to the bugger that kept us out was pretty much in the protocol - before we blew it into bits.

After clearing 2 groups, we finally faced Iron Forgeman. Well, not really faced, we saw him in his back. I was hit by the flame just few seconds later. Shocked by the realization that the quest is over, I didn't move. I didn't dare to look in my intervory. I just told Gonki to go to Guild hall right away. First thing Ferry saw was his godfather, me, and the peaceful Isle of Meditation. Next thing to happen was Gonki and Jeremy's (Jeremy is his siege turtle) arrival. Gonki got drunk off aged ale I gave him for celebration. After a short swim, I went to the Guild Library. I'm there at the moment.

Next thing to do is to get Gonki a new armor. But that is another story. And it won't be as long as this one. And I yet have to meet our newest recruit Aurora.

We're done. Welcome to the world, Ferry Fercraw Jr.
