Gunnar's Hold is the main Norn settlement, named after Gunnar Poundfist.

The armorer, Gunnar Poundfist, claims current ownership over this massive hearthstead, the longest-occupied of all Norn settlements. The great hold has changed names numerous times over the years, controlled and claimed by many powerful Norn. Gunnar is a notable smith, a profession that earns great respect within the Norn community; enough so that Poundfist's claim on Gunnar's Hold has stood for quite some time, as most other Norn are wary of losing his good will.

  • The Naked Man was previously inside the mesh of the bridge in this town. It was an internally used marker for art issues within production stages, and was removed in the September 17, 2007 update.

Notes[edit]

  • Exploring Gunnar's Hold will yield approximately 1 Eye of the North mastery point
Bug Bug.You cannot auto-walk (double-click on anything or click+space) to any NPC located in closed non-passable pavilions: auto-walking instead takes you on a straight line path to your target, and you stop at any obstacle, even a slanted obstacle that normally allows you to "slide" sideways. Apparently, the pathfinding AI is unable to work correctly in such case.
