Biography[edit]

Bastard daughter of Count Petrov zu Heltzer, Anja zu Heltzer was shunned by the Kurzicks from the day she was born.
Her father - due to his hight rank, political connections and deeds he has completed for the glory of the Echowald forest avoided being forsaken, price being giving up all contacts with Anja's mother. This killed her and left young girl basically an orphan, as the count could not show her much care and affection. She was brought to House zu Heltzer though and grew there in extremely unfavourable atmosphere until the age of 14, when - being able to care for herself - she decided to move to Jade Flats, a place she found plesantly secluded.
While not being able to show his daughter any favors - not only because he would put his position in jeopardy, but more so because it would bring even more anger to the young girl - Count zu Helzer concluded, that Anja will never be accepted among the auspicious Kurzicks and that it will be best for her to leave the forest.
His decisions seeded even more anger in Anja who only saw motives of selfishness behind it, but she nevertheless embraced the occasion to leave the unfriendly society of the Stone Forest.
With other apprentices from various lower Kurzick houses, she lest for Shing Jea Monastery two years before the beginning of the plague.
