Parlous Liaisons[edit]
Biography[edit]
Born to members of Ascalonian aristocracy, young Cheryl's life directly depended on her ability to observe tidal waves of court politics.
Fast learner, she quickly understood that the most important things are not those which people say, but rather those which they are trying to hide.
She kept quiet and as undistinctive as possible trying to look under masks, through illusions and appearances at the same time practicing her own.
Between fake smiles and forced compliments, she found inspiration in Lyssa, praying for strength to keep up her illusions.
The Searing ended chicanery of Ascalon's court, but also her pampered life. Among the ruins and charred remains of what used to be her homeland, Cheryl nevertheless felt free and somewhat relieved, and thus guilty. This guilt was not to leave her for a long time, fueling her efforts to discover it's source.
Among those remains she also learned that it's not the sharpness of the blade but whether the enemy fears the steel and that even the stronger the muscle or the magic, the more can one hurt itself if tricked and outwitted.
