Missing armor overview renders
I've recently been going through the armor galleries to make a list of galleries that still need images or not. I've found a few scattered instances where the overview renders you provide are missing (not counting all the male ele sets).
- Missing right overview render on Gallery of male monk Ascalon armor
- Missing all overview renders on Gallery of male monk Elite Luxon armor
- Missing right overview render on Gallery of male necromancer Tyrian armor
Just thought I'd let you know. --Valshia 19:52, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Skill icon for Mantra of Celerity
Hi Emily! Is it possible to provide an icon for the unreleased skill Mantra of Celerity? Would be great. :) BigBluetalk 10:02, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- You might be able to find it in Gw.dat with GwDatBrowser... along with the icons of other unimplemented skills. However, I'm not sure if the article retention policy covers these skills. --Santax (talk · contribs) 12:04, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- Even if we can find the icon in the gw.dat (what I don't believe because I think the gw.dat is cleaned from time to time - at least when you delete it and load it again), we don't know how the skill icon looked like, so it would be great to get it directly. poke | talk 13:53, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- Outdated information and one-time events (hereafter collectively referred to "historical information") will be dealt with through a separate policy. (Cite from Policy). Unfortunately there is no policy for historical content in this wiki. To Gw.dat: Yeah, I could search for this icon, but who guarantees that I choose the right image? And I think as long as we have this article it's should be complete (as other historical articles are at present) BigBluetalk 13:57, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- You could use this image as a reference... it's from back when hidden skills were briefly accessible in-game due to skill template format. This has since been fixed though, so hidden skill information has to come directly from Gw.dat (which, incidentally, I don't think is ever cleared of old stuff) --Santax (talk · contribs) 14:14, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Getting a headstart
Hi Emily, I thought I would make this request now so you could give it a little time if/when you get a break from working on GW2 :) . But considering the success of Halloween (Main Halloween page got about 100,000 hits in the last week, so the renders got very high visibility (including the main page)) I was hoping you might have time to do some of the Christmas ones. In particular: Snowman, Grentch, Reindeer (and Rudi), Elf. Thanks again Emily ! :) --Lemming 00:46, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Mursaat Shortbow
Hey, the render you posted for the Mursaat Shortbow from the BMP is actually the skin for the Mursaat Longbow, Flatbow and Hornbow variants. The Mursaat Shortbow and Recurve Bow actually use another skin. Jennalee 15:23, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Doh! I must have read the spreadsheet backwards. If you guys could flip them around for me, that would be great. I will get the correct shortbow image up as soon as I have a chance to get back to render caps. Thanks for noticing that :) -- Emily Diehl (talk) 00:27, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Render Request, Nian
Emily, I know you are superbusy (from like every post you say ;), but when you feel like opening up the rendering program... I would love and humbly request a render of a Nian for the wiki. That is just a gorgeous model. Whoever did that, it shows it is a labor of love. You can pass that compliement along for sure. Thanks for considering! --Ravious 17:00, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- I am SO sorry that this took so long to get to, Ravious! :( I have the renders up here now. I also passed along your praise to the artist that designed the Nian, and worked some magic to secure something for the website that I think everyone will adore. I'm not giving any more details, though, so everyone will just have to wait to see what it is. -- Emily Diehl (talk) 21:41, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Item Renders
Hello Emily. Wanted to say I really appreciate those beautiful renders! I cannot find any of items and drops - is there a collection of those (or a catalogue) somewhere that I can refer to? Thanks! – Barinthus 03:01, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- There are a few item renders, but not many as yet. Bottle Rocket has one for example. In fact here I collected all the ones I could find/recall here User:Lemming64/Item renders --Lemming 03:04, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! Perhaps I misunderstood, I was referring to most "cut out" images of items you can find on many collectible trophies pages. Still I appreciate the link :) – Barinthus 04:11, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Some things are extracted from the .Dat, NPC renders are provided by Emily, and somethings are inventory icons cropped to size. Calor 04:15, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Assassin Elite Canthan male render
I noticed this render Image:Assassin Elite Canthan armor m.jpg has the wrong mask. Image:Assassin Elite Canthan armor m dyed front.jpg shows the correct one. Tedium 07:59, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

male Monk Krytan armor
hi, just wanted to point out that on the male version the handwraps seem to be missing. —ZerphaThe Improver 14:26, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks, Zerpha! I'll fix those renders tomorrow when I get back to my work desktop. Missing High Res Armour renders.
Hi Emily, I know your busy but just a heads up that we're still missing the high res armour overview renders for a few sets. (You might have already have done them but if you have i can't locate them) It's just for uniformity sake it would be nice to have them. Like in some cases we have user images to fill those gaps however it just doesn't look the same as throughout most the pages theirs a nice theme of big spankey anet renders for the overview without a background and the charecter in a pose we dont have an emote for, an example of which can be seen here. Please find below a list of all the armours which are missing high res armour overview renders from yourself (It should be noted that some of these galleries do have user images on them but I think most people would prefer those replaced with the images that only you can provide us with):-
- All GW:EN Armour sets
- Male Monk Standard Luxon Armour
- Male Monk Istani Armour
I know it's ALOT of work, but if you get some spare time it would be REALLY appreciated! -- Salome 20:47, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- i kind of feel like havening the high res renders makes n00bs and players who just haven't seen the armor before feel like they look better then they actually do. unless a screen shot takes a lesser quality image then what is seen in game. but i know that when i was looking at the Paragon Monument armor just the one image that they have up looks better in that then in the game, but also that armor along with a lot of the gwen armors have red bleading on them, when dyed any color other then red. that alone annoys the hell out of me but that is for mike to fix.75.165.117.200 06:53, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thats a different issue and honestly if the armours look much worse than the high res renders on your computer, then thats a graphics problem your end. Alot of high spec computers handle the computer graphics fine. For example all of my armours look more or less exactly like the high def renders. As for the red bleeding, I agree its VERY annoying, but this isnt an issue for Emily, thats one for Mike as you said. -- Salome 10:26, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up, Salome! I am going to try to set some render time aside some night at the end of the week/next week to bang out some of these missing sets. I always mean to get to them, but the process is pretty time consuming and I get interrupted when I try to do them (especially if it's during the day) :) Sorry for the delay, and I'll add these sets to my queue. -- Emily Diehl (talk) 19:19, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

A Thorn in my side
Hello there emily, i hope you can help me. I am very passionate about creating/helping in-game events for the community and im currently working on a project to make a Mad King Thorn costume in-game using many different dye combo's and Armour combo's for a warrior. So far i have pretty much got it to perfection, using the renders of Thorn as a reference, but i have one problem, i know there is a pattern on his cape plus various tattered details, could it be possible to get a render of his rear view? Thanks in advance Frozenwind 22:39, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hiya Frozenwind! Here you go...I cranked up the bloom on his back so you could see the tree on the cape a little bit better. Hope this helps :) -- Emily Diehl (talk) 22:45, 11 June 2008 (UTC)´

- Frozenwind, the thing on Thorn's cape is basically Ascalon Royal emblem - go around in Ascalon pre-searing and perhaps post searing and you will see it all over the place. It's also often used on certain bundles such as this one. And yes do please share your results. – Barinthus 23:21, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- I did some sniffing around in my imageshack folder and found this - King Adelbern's cape – Barinthus 23:30, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Well it seems i could make a few friends here :D.The picture shown below is a mocked up piece with a likeness beside it.It is also missing a black tattered cape behind it. (which will be added later on), This may feature unwanted bits of armour.I may also text mod the fingers to be orangey like his, and the cape to be transparent at places to.Yes i have to much time on my hands to get the right dye and combos >.< but i love it!
Tell me what you think or DIE! =)

A vain request
I was wondering if you could offer up some renders of Lady Althea sometime in the future. I don't have much of a reason besides vanity and envy I was back playing in Pre-Searing a little bit, and noticed that she has a set of unique armor. I'd really like to gaze enviously upon her outfit, and seethe in jealousy at one of the few female Mesmer MPCs although Mei Ling is a very close second. Yukiko 02:32, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Dragon Festival Renders
Hi Emily, similar to my christmas request if you have time could you pop up some renders for next weekends dragon festival, always nice to have them in place for all the infrequent users who visit here during events. I think most of the ones we need are here I assume we are having the actors again with masks. I don't think there is anything we have missed out :) Thankyou! --Lemming 22:18, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Armour images
yay!!! you're a star! oh by the way, you seem to have reverted yourself a few times accidentally. Would you like me to go ahead and revert back to your new pics or should i leave them alone? -- Salome 00:24, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, that's OK. I'm actually having caching issues myself, so it's hard to see if I replaced an image with the right one. I was reverting because I uploaded the wrong file, and then I wasn't able to delete (also due to cache problems, I think). -- Emily Diehl (talk) 00:48, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I know how that is myself as you know. Just a wee heads up however but it seems that in the most recent batch of pics you did,you haven't posed the ele the same way you've posed all the rest of your renders. He's in his casual stance, rather than that arms out at his sides stance that only you can put him in. Not a complaint or anything, just trying to be helpful. :) -- Salome 03:31, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

- Hi guys! I got some of the jellies done and figured out why I wasn't able to cap the Moa. I'm going to have to ponder the best way to cap the celestials and the ghosts. Since we put them against the white background and the models are transparent, they don't show up very well. I'll probably need to manually go in and adjust their balance or alpha cap them against black and then put that against the wiki white. Hmm. -- Emily Diehl (talk) 00:13, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'd say it'd probably be acceptable to render near-white objects on a neutral gray background and provide that as the render, even if it's not the exact same background as the others. That's just my personal input, though. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 00:17, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I uploaded files over existing images and red links, and the pages I made were copy/pasted from existing pages :) I haven't kept up with how people have decided to name things, so I stay out of questioning anything related to naming and formatting. -- Emily Diehl (talk) 01:21, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Weapon model project
Just a heads up that the weapon model project was created today. Fall 21:19, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- Would it be possible for someone to drop me a line on my talk page when the Elemental Sword and Runic Blade Render's are added? Thanks in advance! --Wolf 14:43, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks Fall! This looks great, and will be really helpful for me when I cap weapon shots. I'm going to go ahead and archive this because my poor talk page is dying, but I've checked it out and will work from it when I get back into capping. -- Emily Diehl (talk) 03:51, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
