| Domain of Anguish Overview. | |
| | |
The Domain Of Anguish is a special explorable area in Nightfall. It is special because it is an explorable area that actually consists of four other explorable areas.
The only elite mission in Nightfall takes place here. It can only be accessed from the Chantry of Secrets after defeating Abaddon by talking to the Seer of Truth.
Containing valuable Items, this area is regularly visited by players, though new players often get killed in a few seconds. Monsters in this area are very strong and capable of demolishing every team not prepared for the dangers that await them.
Only in the Domain of Anguish players can obtain tormented weapons, primeval hero armor and the quest to get the hero Razah.
While on first sight Anguish doesn't contain an Elite Mission, it can only be unlocked by completing a quest first. The quest, Mallyx the Unyielding, brings players through every corner of Anguish and ultimately brings the player to The Ebony Citadel of Mallyx which is the true Elite Mission.
Initially, each of the four sections are sealed off from each other, once each section is completed, the entrance to the next clockwise section opens.
[edit] Getting there
After the completion of the Nightfall campaign, you can enter the Domain of Anguish by talking to the Seer of Truth in the Chantry of Secrets.
[edit] Monsters
The monsters players will face here are between level 24 and 30. Groups of monsters are often very diverse, containing almost every profession. This makes it difficult to rely on certain builds and often teams are forced to create a balanced team. However, players are more and more exploring the weaknesses of the elite area and some can farm certain regions with 2- or 3-person teams.
[edit] Notes
- Since March 31st, 2008, players no longer need the quest to spawn the end bosses of each area.
