Various snowmen and grentches will be battling each other. Any snowmen that survive a battle will run to the starting area and disappear. There is a hidden grentch where the Angry Snowman would be if you were doing the dungeon. Thats the Angry Snowman that disables the traps when you kill him. When you meet up with Freezie and his group, grentches will appear in waves. If Freezie or any of his snowmen are defeated, they will resurrect after a certain amount of time. The first time Freezie dies, you will gain a 2% morale boost. A Wintersday Chest will spawn when all the grentches are defeated. Speak to the Rift Warden to collect your reward.
Most of the grentches can be avoided. You can run past the battles as the grentches will be busy fighting and will remain stationary when the battle is over unless aggroed. When you reached Freezie and killed the first 2 waves, you can simply go back where you came from and wait out the battle. Alternatively, you can stand by the large door where the chest spawns and will avoid all mobs including the first two waves. The snowmen will get overrun, but they resurrect and will eventually kill all the grentches. This takes less than 15 minutes if you ran through the dungeon avoiding battles where possible. It takes 2:47 minutes to run to Freezie (best tested time without the Let's Get em Skill) It takes a minimum of 8 minutes before the chest spawns (best tested time without helping the snowmen) An average of 11:03 minutes has been tested for each run to take including taking the quest from the Rift Warden.

The grentches will be unopposed in their capers! Dwayna beseeches you to defend the snowmen and save Wintersday...for the children."

- There are no resurrection shrines during this quest.
- The Grentches that spawn at the end of the quest are enemies of the Grentches that you meet along the way there. So if you run past the the last two grentches, they will attack the group that spawns behind you when you approach Freezie.
- Candy Cane Shards have a high chance of dropping from grentches making this a good place to farm.
- Upon the defeat of Freezie, you will be awarded +2 Morale Boost. After this, your morale will not raise anymore, even if Freezie dies again.
- To be able to repeat this quest after collecting your reward, you must leave town and return, or change districts for the Rift Warden's list to refresh.
- Once you start this quest you cannot start Straight to the Heart until you finish or abandon this one.
- If you are positioned badly the Grentch can attack the Snow Men without them defending themselves. That happens most often with the two Grentches after the first bridge.
- Deaths in this area do not count against the Survivor title track.
- The chest will spawn on the defeat of Grentchus Magnus, even if there are other Grentches still alive.
- An enchanting weapon can help a little for it will still affect ice fort for an extra amount of time if you don't move, even though the visual effect will go away.
