equipment pack glitch
When changing weapon sets, the weapons/armor don't always return to the equipment pack. Why?--70.59.190.47 06:35, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- If you change a weapon for another weapon, they'll trade places. However, if you change 2 weapons (for instance a sword and a shield) for one (like a bow) then one weapon will take the place of the bow, but the other will land in the first free inventory slot it can find (usually your backpack, since the EQ pack is the 5th in line). If you do a few more weapon swaps, you can mess up your order a bit. To remedy this, equip a shield or focus item together with your 2 handed weapons. You'll get an icon over the item, indicating that it "won't work" with 2 handed weapons, but it'll prevent messing up the locations of your equipment while swapping. — Poki#3 (talk) 16:48, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Prophecies Necromancer is missing 3 Attribute points
I've created a character in Prophecies that I've leveled to 20. She is my primary character that is a Necromancer/Elementalist. Oddly enough she is missing only 3 attribute points. Currently she has a modifier that increases one attribute by 3 points with makes up the difference, but I was wondering how could I possibly be missing three to begin with when leveling increases attribute points buy multiples of 5. Could you please help me find my missing points?--99.5.74.45 03:55, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- So if you remove all modifiers, you only have 197? I don't believe that is possible. -- Wyn talk 04:28, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- Do not confuse attributes (the things making your skills better) attribute points (the point value you have when all your attributes are 0, and what you use to increase the attributes). At level 20, you should have 170 attribute points, +15 for completing Forgotten Wisdom and another +15 for The Hero's Challenge making the total 200. — Poki#3 (talk) 13:37, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- If I remove all modifiers I have 167 since I've not completed the extra missions for the additional 30 Attribute Points. Since they are suppose to go up in 5's and multiples of 5 I have no idea how that's possible! I'm being cheated of 3 points that I would very much like to have.
- That's very, very weird. I can only advise you to contact support. (click "Web support" and file a support ticket detailing your problem - that you're a level 20 Prophecies character, and have 167 attribute points before doing the two attribute point quests, but you should have 170) — Poki#3 (talk) 13:56, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Not Gaining Asuran Rep Points
I've read wiki and it says that once you complete the polymock quests and go into tournament mode you can play and win up to 90 rep points per match win. I've won at least 10 tournament matches against the master in Rata Sum and my rep points have not moved even one. I'm wondering if this is a bug or is something wrong with my account. Thanks for your help.
Sincerely, 75.85.123.35 01:02, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
I am currently rank 9... is that the problem?75.85.123.35 10:40, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
PS - I don't see why that would be a factor since it says on Wiki that you can max the Asuran title by playing polymock. Anyways... Thanks again and Sincerely, --75.85.123.35 10:44, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- As per Asura rank - "Players who have reached rank 8 in the title (Not Too Lazy) can no longer accumulate Asura reputation points in Normal Mode except through quest rewards. To achieve ranks 9 and 10 the points must be earned in Hard Mode, or through Zaishen Challenge Quests." It's the same for all EotN reputation titles. — Poki#3 (talk) 15:25, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
I understand that I do... but on the Polymock page it says that you can max your Asuran title in 148 many hours... This is a direct paste from the page...
For maxing the Asuran title
1 Win 90 points. 1 match lasts 5 minutes.
Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4 Tier 5 Tier 6 Tier 7 Tier 8 Tier 9 Tier 10
Matches Won 12 45 89 178 289 445 623 889 1223 1778 Time (minutes) 60 225 445 890 1445 2225 3115 4445 6115 8890 Time (hours) 1 3.75 7.42 14.84 24.1 37.1 51.92 74.1 101.92 148.2
It will take approximately 148 hours for maxing the Asuran title.
75.85.123.35 14:20, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- That was probably a math exercise, rather than an actual experiment. You may have stumbled upon an incorrect assertion on the wiki. They do occasionally arise. :P What happens if you enter HM and then enter the Polymock arena? -- FreedomBound 14:24, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
That's actually great advice... unfortuanately i tried it and same thing.. nothing... Well... I appreciate the responses... It's all good... I'll just have to farm the rest of the points in HM old school :) Thanks anyways ;) 75.85.123.35 05:20, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Henchmen Skills usage (Prpohecies)
I have a walkthru that covers the mission from Frostgate. It describes the tactics needed in attaining the Bonus challenge. In that message it states that the use of a "drain Enchantment" cast shoulf be used against the Dolyak Riders to interrupt the mutual assistance they render one another. I do not have that spell, but I see that one of the henchmen, Dunham, does possess it. If I have him included in my pose, will he be sure to use that spell against the Dolyaks? If not, how can I obtain that spell? Thank you--70.71.223.137 22:54, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- Henchmen, unlike Heroes cannot be forced to use skills against a particular target. But, they're pretty good about using it when appropriate. If you want to use it yourself, see the article Drain Enchantment, it will provide the locations where you can get the spell. If you look at the enchantment article, you will also notice that there are other spells that can remove enchantments. -- FreedomBound 23:02, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

find each other in the game?

- As long as you're in the same city / outpost and on the same district (upper left bar) you can find each other and make a party and go out kill some monsters together. Obviously, if you have different campaigns, and access to different cities, you can't see each other (outside of the Battle Isles since those are for everyone). - Note that a Prophecies character that hasn't gone through the searing (pre-searing character) won't be able to interact or be in the same party as a Prophecies character that has gone through the searing. --Silver Edge 05:17, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, a Prophecies character that has not gone through the searing and is in the pre area will not be able to interact with characters in the 'post' era of prophecies, no matter what other campaign the character is from. The only characters the pre can interact with is other pre characters within the pre-searing of Prophecies. -- riyen ♥ 09:27, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Drain Enchantment skill.
Thank you very much to 'Freedom Bound' for his excellent response. I tried to find somewhere on his page to thank him/her, but could not find the proper place. I have a secondary question: I read the links 'Freedom Bound' provided, but as I'm a Ranger/Monk, I cannot acquire the Drain Enchantment skill. I employed the Dunham the Enchantment Henchman for my latest assault on the Frost Gate mission, with mixed results. I was able to defeat the first 2 Dolyak Riders in my foray into point 2 (the raid on the new weapon), and I seemed to have the assistance of Dunham in that victory. When I assaulted the second 2 Dolyaks and assorted troops, I did not get any assistance from Dunham with the Drain Enchantment skill (as far as I could tell) and was soundly defeated, with the infuriating 'return to outpost' jeer at the end. I have scoured the skills links sent to me, but I cannot determine if there is a lag time associated with this skill. I did wait several minutes before the second assault, but the hoped for skill did not materialize........... Can anyone help with this? Even if if choose not to try for this Bonus, I'm certain that another 2 Dolyak problem awaits me at the end of this mission. I know this because I've tried to finish the mission without the Bonus and ran into this problem before. Thank you.--70.71.223.137 05:46, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- If you want to talk to someone directly, the best place to do that is to leave a message on their Talk Page. As far as your problem with the Dolyaks - yes, they can be a bit of a pain with their Mark of Protection, and you may want to have a way to remove it. As you know, Dunham has Drain Enchantment. Claude also has Strip Enchantment, you may want to have him in your party. The AI uses enchantment removing skills on any enchantments they find, just like they use Hex and Condition removal skills on any Hex or Condition. They don't have priorities that a human may have after thinking the situation over. Dolyaks have other enchantments and they may be targeted instead.
- That said, I think your problem lies elsewhere. First, let's talk about the skill. Mark of Protection negates all damage done to the person targeted, and heal him on top of that. It's a very powerful skill in that regard, but it has it's week spots - it only lasts 10 seconds, and recharges in 45 seconds. also, it only targets one person. Look at the life bar of the person you're attacking, and if you see that your attack are not doing damage and on top of that are healing the target quickly change the target to someone else. That's the best way to combat Dolyaks. When you're only down to 1 or 2 foes then enchantment removing skills will come in handy, but still there's a big down time with the skill. as long as you keep up the pressure the Dolyaks will fall.
- That's that when it comes to combating the skill. Now onto why you're dieing. It puzzles me really. You should have that big of a problem. I'm assuming you're trying to do this mission solo with henchmen. This may be a little stupid, but I'm telling this just in case - always go out with the maximum number of players that the outpost you're in allows. If you can have 6 people in your party, go out with 6, filling the slots where you don't have humans with heroes and henchmen. This is a party vs party game. If you don't want to farm, run, or do any specific stuff like that, always go out in full force. Since you're a Ranger, I'd advise you take 1 Warrior henchman (Little Thom or Stefan), Claude, Dunham, Orion and Alesia witch you on that mission. Also, if you want to message me in game, my character name is Ashura Mazah. I'll be happy to answer questions and help with things here and there. — Poki#3 (talk) 07:13, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- Since you are a ranger basic interrupts can help as well if you are in normal mode, as the AI casts spells in a patter than you can often predict, allowing you to hit that spell with a Distracting Shot. Since it is an enchantment, you might be able to use Nature's Renewal to slow down enchantment casts and make them easier to interrupt...just be careful as this will effect your enchantments and hexes too. If you are not fast with interrupts manually, Choking Gas is a good option to interrupt with more ease.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 07:29, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- He won't have Nature's Renewal until Camp Rankor and Choking Gas until he finishes The False Gods quest in the Temple of the Ages or buys it at Droknar's Forge. And Personally, I'd very much advise NOT to use Nature's Renewal. — Poki#3 (talk) 07:36, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

- You're likely missing a lot of really small places then. There's a lot of leeway in the Cartographer titles. In Tyria, you don't even have to do the last mission to have 100%. As far as maps go, check the Tyria article and each individual region. — Poki#3 (talk) 12:10, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Random graphic glitches
Last night while I was standing next to the chest in FoW after finishing it, some random polygons started popping out and disappearing. I thought it was just a random render error in FoW, so I grabbed the reward and left. However, 5 minutes later while MQSC'ing, the same thing started to happen more severely, and it was not fixed by turning off the computer and turning it on today. Could it be a corrupt .dat file? Would -image fix it, or would it be better to use -repair? I think this is Menzies' revenge :P -- Large 15:46, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- Support would tell you to delete your .dat file and run -image. If that doesnt fix it then contact support. Drogo Boffin 15:59, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- You mean that parts of the game models started flying off and draging the textures, making "spike" like things? That's not a broken .dat file, that's a broken Graphics Card. Maybe it's just the drivers, maybe your card is just overheating a bit, maybe it's starting to pack it's bags with a one way ticket to the Underworld in hand. Post a screenshot if you can. — Poki#3 (talk) 17:28, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- This happens to me sometimes when I let one of my cards go 3 years without being cleaned properly. Take your card out of the computer and unscrew the fan with a non-magnetic philip's head screwdriver, then look at the little silver square chip beneath it. Is it shiny? If it's not shiny, it's probably disgustingly filthy. Get a Q-tip and dip it in a little rubbing alcohol, then clean that crap off. Blow the fan out too for good measure. Then screw the fan back into place and put the card back, and see if it works again. Oh, and make sure you ground yourself properly during this process, static buildup can ruinate your hardware pretty quickly. I'd also recommend cleaning out whatever other disgusting garbage in there while you're at it: I found a dead rat in somebody's this one time (true story). How to force GW to display at insane resolutions on cards/monitors which do not necessarily support such resolutions? I need to run GW at something stupidly and unnecessarily huge, like 2560x2048. This is for a few reasons: first, I have to prove to this guy I know that you don't need anti-aliasing if your resolution is sufficiently lolhueg. Second, it'll make my life a lot easier taking screenshots of places you're not really supposed to be able to get to. Finally, I like my characters really really big for print-outs and footooshoopin. The theory is that, since you can take a screenshot at a lower res than your monitor natively supports and it'll come out normal-sized in an SS, you can do the same thing with gigantic resolutions and get a screenshot much larger than your display.
I've tried using a program called Display Changer, but it only works on the Gw.exe launcher, not the Gw.exe process created by said launcher. Is there any other good way to do this? I was thinking about trying to use a memory scanner to change it, but I get the feeling that changing the numbers would just make it display differently without changing the resolution itself. –Jette 22:47, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

- Um get a new monitor. Or use an hdtv or like 4 monitors. Drogo Boffin 23:04, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yes. –Jette 22:57, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
(Reset indent) You think theyll ban ppl that use it? Drogo Boffin 23:32, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- They have no way of knowing who uses it, but I'm pretty sure they don't care. The developers are implementing a system that requires you to have bought the actual game(s). ~Shard 23:35, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- (on win XP) Right Click your desktop, click Properties. Go to the Last Tab and click "Advanced". Then click the "Monitor" tab and uncheck "hide displays that this monitor does not support". That will unlock all resolutions for you to use, but as the checkbox indicates, if you set the resolution to something that your monitor can't handle you'll just get a black screen 9 times out of 10. — Poki#3 (talk) 07:20, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm using windows 7 for gw, but I'll try to find an equivalent screen. Although, that would be much easier if explorer would stop crashing. I had more fun trying to run Windows ME. –Jette 12:05, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- I can get my lappy's 1280x800 to 2040x1468, but can only take SS in window mode. Hardly the 2560x2048 you're looking for, but my lappy is crummy... I haven't tried on the TV yet (56") but I don't think that would work anyway... ~Celestia 12:16, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- An HDTV would display 1280x720 or 1920x1080. (720p and 1080p respectfully) — Poki#3 (talk) 12:37, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have a 1920x1080 monitor, which is good enough for most things, but I'm trying to create some higher-res renders for someone who wants a poster of their character. I found that option you were referring to, Poki, but (on win7 at least) it just lets me use different cycle rates (frames per second), and doesn't affect available resolutions. –Jette 12:46, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- Don't know about Win7, but on XP it let's me change the refresh rates, and when I back up to the previous window with the resolutions it unblocks the desktop resolutions and in games it should also unblock them (unless a game has it's own, artificial resolution list, but that's mainly for old, 2D games that can't scale, unlike 3D). Backup plan: Wun in window mode, and stretch the window outside monitor boundaries by dragging it, and then do a Print Screen of the active window? It's Shift+PrntScrn I think. I don't know if it'll actually "capture" what's outside the monitor though. — Poki#3 (talk) 13:35, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

No serial code
I purchased the Nightfall with the Eye of the North free from online and it didn't give me a serial code to access both games. What do I do? Also how can I take my existing characters to nightfall and eye of the north games? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.204.138.173 (talk).
- If you purchased it from the in game store or online using your Master Account it should add the game without you needing a serial code. It adds it automatically. You can contact support share your concerns with them and ask them what to do. Drogo Boffin 21:07, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- For the second part of your question, see the FAQ. -- FreedomBound 21:58, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
