The Red Iris Flower is not dropped from enemies, but is randomly found on the ground in explorable areas.

[edit] Pre-Searing Ascalon

If you give Gwen five Red Iris Flowers, she will give you a Tapestry Shred in exchange. If you give her a Small Girl's Cape and a new flute before this, you will only need three flowers. Be sure not to have more flowers in your inventory, otherwise Gwen will go on asking until the very last one.

[edit] Eye of the North

Before completion of the Ebon Vanguard primary track, if you enter the Hall of Monuments while holding this item, Gwen says "I can't believe you held onto that for so long. But with the Ebon Vanguard missing, my own past must be put aside for now. We'll have time for this matter after my friends are rescued."

Later if you speak to Gwen with a flower in your inventory she will give you the quest Fire and Pain.

Oggy will take one Red Iris Flower to give to his sweetheart Jezza.
