Trivia[edit]

  • Named after the wiki user Silver Edge.
  • Although this easter egg was introduced to the Wayfarer's Reverie with the 2013 update, with hints to its location mentioned by the various Xunlai Archivists [1], it went without a wiki article for over 8 years, making it the longest undocumented item in Guild Wars to date.
  • Matthew Moore (former ArenaNet designer) was the one who told the clue in April 11, 2021 via Twitter, answering in a thread called "Today’s Easter" by Jan Willem Nijman about Easter eggs hidden in games. [2]
    • Following the official confirmation of its existence [3] in April 12, combined community efforts solved the clues in April 14, leading to it in approximately 2½ days.[4][5]
  • As well as other discoveries of unimplemented, deleted or hidden content made by searching within the Gw.dat (and comparing each new .dat after each new update) that have been added to the wiki in previous years, the reason why this sword went unnoticed until 2021 was because said search was carried between 2008-2010 in the GW Guru forums, and this sword was added in 2013, when said thread and the people who participated were no longer active.
