Zaishen Challenge Archive[edit]
I understand where you're coming from, but there won't necessarily be a pattern, or at least a recognizable pattern for quite some time. There are, what, ~70 missions including the repeatable EotN missions? That's a huge list to have to maintain, especially considering that you're likely to have to be at least partially into the second iteration before you can see any patterns. I think a monthly archive would be much more appropriate, perhaps with the addition of a page that holds the entire list (a research page, or the like). This was also discussed on the talk page, and one month / archive seemed agreeable at the time. Freedom Bound 13:52, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Feedback Namespace[edit]
Are you interested in being part of this "task force" thing? You have had some good input, and I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable with the elitism of only a few editors taking control of the organization, although I understand we don't want people finding it randomly and starting to use it before it is ready to go live. Anyway, if you want to take part, I am happy to "nominate" or announce or whatever... I guess I don't even really get how one gets to be part of the task force or what it even really means at this point. Anyway, if you want in, just speak up! (Satanael 16:14, 13 June 2009 (UTC))

Plz explain this Move suggestion[edit]
http://wiki.guildwars.com/index.php?title=ArenaNet:Skill_feedback/PvE/Classes_of_2009_Issues&oldid=1548404
That part of the Wiki is for Skill Feedback. And that's what it's being used for. And I DO NOT WANT IT ON MY OWN USERSPACE. The entire reason I moved it there was to pre-empt it being moved to my user space. --ilr 20:38, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- It appears you don't even respond to your own TalkPage. So I offer you 24 hours to respond here before I revert or modify your vandalism --ilr 21:17, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- ANet can't take feedback in anything except the feedback namespace due to copyright problems (basically, GW would have to be open source). This means that any suggestions need to be in either the Feedback namespace, where everything is automatically ANet's property, or in the Userspace, where suggestions aren't read or acknowledged by ANet. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 21:49, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi[edit]
I won't be here long. First of all, you're always wrong about everything, but I'm at least going to humor you this time. This is about your post on Linsey's talk page citing my henchmen bar page as a "conspiracy theory." There are many things wrong with that claim. Firstly, it's not a conspiracy if the people submitting and checking the builds aren't communicating with each other at all (if they were, the contest would have had a non-stupid outcome). Secondly, being on observe mode for the past 10-24 months instead of pvx for the past 10-24 months doesn't make them any more original. The fact is those builds are well-known (in most cases meta-builds) and used by practically everybody on a daily basis. I only cited pvx because I didn't want to spend hours of my life trolling observe mode, frapsing those bars, and making a youtube video to link to.
Before I go, I'd like to politely ask you to apply common sense to any and all of your future opinions, especially when other people have to interpret them. Thanks. ~Shard 03:25, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Moving pages[edit]
Just reminding you to remember to check the "what links here" pages when you move a page. The Gladius pages that you've moved still have plenty of links to them and when the redirect (that you tagged for a speedy) is deleted will lead to a red link. The speedy is also not correct at it is a necessary redirect because you have not changed the links. As per the move page "You are responsible for making sure that links continue to point where they are supposed to go" (emphasis added), so make sure you redirect all the links to the proper page when you move one. If you are looking to move all campaign specific titles, you'll have to be moving a lot of pages ;). Also it would be better to tag the pages for a suggested move before moving them straight away. ~Celestia 00:03, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

- It is quite simple: Once upon a time phantom keys could be used all in TotPK. Why are we moving a legitimate mainspace article to someones userspace? Its a landmark. Give it a main name, put it under Category:Landmarks, and thats that. If you have some sort of issue...[edit]
...I'd prefer you come to my talkpage with it, rather than tagging it on to your vote on Gordon's recon. It's like, "Hey, I think Gordon should keep his sysop, and by the way fuck you Vili." Really, man?
I don't know what you are basing your perceptions on. If I was Auron I'd call you out for being out of line with reality, but I'm not; so instead I'll just state that contrary to what you may think, I don't have a "gang" of loyal followers who I urge to vote alongside me in solidarity, thus helping to game the system and corrupt the good and faithful editors of the wiki. I am just another voice in the wind like yourself; my words may (or may not!) carry slightly more weight because of who I was in the past on a different wiki, and the number of acquaintances I have made here. I don't claim to represent the community any more than the next editor. I don't head a faction of angry editors who oppose you at every turn; if you are trying to paint me in the same light as Shard once was ("a rabble-rouser and the king of trolls"), that is a flat-out lie with nothing to support it. (I would also hate to see at least two of this wiki's valued sysops, Emmett and Gares Redstorm, portrayed as members of a clandestine cabal.)
Most of all, I don't insinuate that others vote the way they do because of ulterior motives rather than a sincere desire to express their honest thoughts and opinions about a candidate. If the wiki has truly come to such a state that one cannot even place a dissenting vote without being accused of playing politiks, there are much bigger problems afoot than my imaginary mafia.
Have a nice day, and even though I know you won't, please respond to this on your own talkpage. It is such a simple thing, and yet it would make so many people happy. Vili 点 07:14, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
When in Rome...[edit]
I am responding on your talk page as is the custom in this land. I've noticed your nomination of me for sysop duties and I had a couple of questions. Firstly, is there a particular reason you wanted to do this before the elections end or were you just making me aware of it before I disappear for a bit? Does the nomination still stand in light of what I have said on my bureaucrat election page? Feel free to respond here or on my talk page, I should know what you are on about. Guidelines[edit]
My understanding, this is what a sandbox is for - for many 'major' changes like you had made 3 times. I can say I'd suggest each change in a sandbox, suggest it, before 'implementing' your changes as 'versions', etc. I think that would be better than the 'little' attention you had. That way others can decide on it, too, and suggest changes. Adding it to the rfc, if it's not already there. Just thought I'd be nice to share an opinion. -- riyen ♥ 17:04, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I can't really understand what Ariyen is saying there, but I suspect she's attempting to advocate the creation of a subpage for each different version so people can see them without flipping through the article's history. If that's the case, I agree with her -- that's the typical mechanism for proposals like yours. —Tanaric 21:17, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- I am trying to suggest a creation of a Sandbox aka
- This User:Backsword/Sandbox/GuidelineExample1 (or whatever title you want your subpage to be other than GuidelineExample1) and User:Backsword/Sandbox/GuidelineExample2 (or whatever title you want your subpage to be other than GuidelineExample2) and User:Backsword/Sandbox/GuidelineExample3 (or whatever title you want your subpage to be other than GuidelineExample3)
- In that page, copy the guidelines Basics so to speak and then do as you wish on your sandbox pages that you created, to keep from messing up the actual page to 'propose' an idea.
- Save your sandbox pages, post links to the talk page of guideline and then post the link of talk page on rfc to get comments. That might help a lot more. That was my suggestion that I was trying in smaller words to say. So, just decided to detail it more. -- riyen ♥ 01:54, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
regarding the Ruby Djinn page[edit]
I cleaned it up a bit. Creating two pages for the same creature is redundant, and can easily just have the two locations listed instead, which I have done. Thus, this and this also are redundant. I am going to remove the two pages that you made, if you don't disagree. --rawr 16:04, 4 January 2010

Edits to the Undead Page[edit]
Hello. You undid my edits to the Undead page. I added "Creature Types" as a category to these in order to make them appear on the http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Category:Creature_types list. When you undid my revision, they no longer appeared on that page. Why are Undead not a creature type like, say, Trolls? The game has slaying mods for both undead (i.e. Hammer Grip of Deathbane) and trolls (Hammer Grip of Trollslaying.) What's the objection to having Undead listed as a creature type and making them appear on that category list page? Thanks LicensedLuny 23:45, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Before reverting me, you should have looked at the format of any other explorable area, such as Jaga Moraine, and note that Charmable Animals are listed in their own section at the same level as Allies and Foes. Hi there, I'm sort of new at this, wiki editing and such. Regarding this NPC, you added in the trivia "Doctor Carl Jung was one of the founders of Psychoanalysis, a famous Pseudoscience." Generally speaking if something like that happens with a copyright violation on an existing page, you would be better reverting the page, then asking on the admin noticeboard for the relevant revisions to be deleted. That reduces the number of revisions that need to be deleted. In no case is it useful to enter into an edit war. Misery 15:45, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Armor rating[edit]
I would really like to know how you came to the conclusion that attribute rank has anything to do with damage multiplication with normal attacks. Pay attention to this part:
The damage multiplier can also be found for non attack skills if the attacker is level 20 with the equation
To simplify that (final damage) = (initial damage) * Damage multiplier. Do you see anything in there about attribute in the formula? Attribute just drops the initial damage down and has no effect on how the initial damage is converted to final damage through armor rating. I'll rephrase: The only part attribute governs is the initial damage, which comes from this equation:
So please revert this part ,"The table is normalized to an attacker attribute rank 12 for attacks and level 20 for other skills." Back to how it was... unless now you are going to tell me the formula is wrong. --Lania Elderfire 15:10, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

you should really stop editing on the wiki[edit]
your fail meter is too high right now --adrin 08:15, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Wouldn't work to tell him that. He thinks that anyone disagreeing with him is a troll, hence they get ignored... especially if he loses an argument. --Lania Elderfire 15:01, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- which is all the time ofc --adrin 19:13, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
Mhenlo[edit]
You should probably provide a destination page or start a section on the talk about the split, or it'll just end up getting removed. --JonTheMon 14:50, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Crustacean[edit]
May I ask where you got the name and this ("The Luxons incorrectly believe them to be agents of The Leviathan") from? I searched and have seen no in-game mention of either. So is this fact or did you pull this out of your butt like you did with other things? -- Konig/talk 05:38, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- It's pointless to leave a message here... He'll never reply. --Lania 15:09, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Skill animations[edit]
I appreciate your attempt at helping earlier over here, but (as you might not have noticed, since I posted it on my own talk page) the problem with your fix is that items which don't have a "skill" associated with them aren't displayed. (For example, Squash Serum and Ghost-in-the-Box.) Any chance you would be able to create a similar template which would use a list of consumables and place the item icons where the "skill" icons would be? --Kyoshi (Talk) 21:57, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Care to vote?[edit]
Yeah, I want you as a supporter for this. haha
Theres a couple people that think the voice actor should remain under trivia but I disagree, I think it should be in the infobox. I noticed that some trivia with voice actors have info about the actor instead of character, why not seperate that and make it clearer. Besides, the code may be in all npc pages but they have to add
|voiceactor = Bob
in order to be effected by the change. Can you please vote? here Lucian Shadowborn 00:35, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Redundant[edit]
All the changes to the Enchanted pages are redundant, as they say what they are wielding in the Trivia sections. ♥ Tyloric ♣ 19:37, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- Backsword doesn't respond to shit on his talk page. I could call him whatever and he probably wouldn't notice :o --neshot. 19:40, 16 November 2010.

- Also, how do you know those are variable damage attacks/skills? are you able to adjust your attributes? --JonTheMon 15:35, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- If you can show that the skills are variable attribute, you should probably list on each skill page the attribute that is used, 'cause it's not very helpful to go back and forth all the time. --JonTheMon 15:46, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
GWB Locations Notation[edit]
Please stop removing the Guild Wars Beyond notation from NPC locations. Please see the NPC formatting page. --Musha 08:24, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Fireworks Master dialogue[edit]
There are 2 typos in the Fireworks Master dialogue you added. I've marked them with the {{sic}} template. If that is not how those words are spelt in-game, please correct them. --Silver Edge 03:08, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
- More than likely, they are typos on his part. Go ahead and fix them. --JonTheMon 05:31, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
You can stop now[edit]
The merge for the Gwen pages went uncontested except for by you, and you never backed up your claims for why it shouldn't be merged. Stop reverting the redirect bypassing. It not only clogs up recent changes but it'll just have to get reverted again since the changes were based on consensus. So please just stop. -- Konig/talk 04:01, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Backsword, if you dislike the result of the consensus, challenge it on the talk page. Your "vigilante" reverts just make you looks bad. ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 04:08, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- The same goes for the NPC locations for Guild Wars Beyond. I already showed you where you can express your opinions on that. --Musha 20:52, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Delete tags[edit]
When a speedy delete tag is placed without a proper speedy delete reason, the proper action is to remove the speedy from the delete tag, not to remove the delete tag. - Tanetris 20:25, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
