Hidden in northern Vabbi, the City of Ahdashim served to protect the Princes of the region during the reign of Palawa Joko. Seas of gold and gems are said to be found there; although the controlling djinn are not likely to let anyone near it, should they find the way into the city first.
Getting there[edit]
This area is only accessible via the Dasha Vestibule mission outpost by speaking to the Key of Ahdashim. The character must have completed either the Dasha Vestibule mission or the Dzagonur Bastion mission.

Notes[edit]
- Beyond the first chamber (which has hidden djinn on both sides) where the party starts, this area is divided into three paths:
- The central path runs all the way to the northern edge of the map. There are numerous elementals along the way, including several hidden groups.
- The western path starts off with some Cobalt groups in the first chamber. The rest of it is also filled with hidden and patrolling groups of elementals.
- The eastern path is actually outside the city proper. As such, it is instead populated by hostile plants, beasts, hekets, and beetles. Hidden groups of beetles are found in the paths towards the north.
- This area is underground (i.e. does not show up on the World Map) and so does not contribute to the Elonian Cartographer title track.
- Vanquisher runs of this area without active quests require defeating around 231 foes. Including quest influences, it has been reported to range from 205 to 257 foes.
- The elementals in this area (especially the boss groups) are capable of dealing a very large amount of area damage. Always try to spread out before engaging.
- Damage reduction skills (or increasing one's health), especially those that affect the whole party, together with health degeneration counters will ease the difficulty of this area greatly.
- Interrupts, especially AoE ones such as Cry of Frustration and Panic will make defeating the Roaring Ethers much easier preventing the use of their Resurrection Signets and large AoE Spikes from Energy Surge.
- The Gift of the Djinn quest will reduce the total number of creatures that spawn. But do not activate the altars, because this will trigger a lot of Djinn.
Trivia[edit]
The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on The Key of Ahdashim. |
- This area and Bahdok Caverns are the only explorable areas that do not contribute to the Cartographer title track and can be vanquished.
