The only information you can "delete" is the characters that you have on your account. Unlocks and purchased items remain attached to the account. G R E E N E R 06:59, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

You may not have Permision to access this file

Everytime I want to play Guild Wars Something pops up and says "could not open file. You may not have Permision to access this file" So i uninstall the game, reinstall it and the same thing pops up. Its pissing me off. I NEED HELP!!!--68.149.240.160 20:14, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Are you running GW on an operating system with limited user privileges? Try checking the file permissions if you are logged as an admin, and try right clicking on the program files where the GW game is installed hit properties and click on the security tab, and look at the permission settings there. if everything looks okay, then make sure there isn't some other program that is blocking access to the file such as a firewall or antivirus. --Lania 21:32, 07 October 2010 (UTC)

Elemental and Energy Storage

Why does Glyph of Elemental Power and Elemental Lord have no effect on Energy Storage attribs? The combination of it and I think Elemental Lord should boost elemental attribs up 3 and it does Air and Water but has NO effect on Energy Storage. Not a bug. One could argue that "energy" is not in itself an elemental; It's similar to Chaos Damage or the concept of "ether" that they use in the game. If you wish to make a suggestion for Anet to change, you can use the Feedback section. G R E E N E R 18:11, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Gee......Seems like an ele's primary would be one of the "elemental" attributes, That said I did find one the skills actual "page" but it was down with the trivia, That it was not one of the Elemental attribs. War in Kryta

Just to make sure, you've seen the Trial of Zinn, and then saw Livia Recruits Zinn? If so, you should be able to access the Lion's Arch Keep by talking to Lion's Arch Keep Gate Guard. For ease of use, make sure you're the only player in the party when accessing this area for the first time, just in case. If that doesn't work, write back. G R E E N E R 00:08, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

There isn't. I believe there is a monument by that name, though, and if I remember correctly you need to complete Abaddon's Gate in order for it to be unlocked. –Jette 22:01, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that's the monument you can display in the Hall of Monuments after finishing Nightfall. Closest title to that is Protector of Elona. You might want to check out the "Honor" and Title articles. — Poki#3 (talk) 21:56, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Adding MINIATURES to HALL OF MONUMENTS

I already have four previous minipets in my "Devotion" at the Hall Of Monuments. I have three more I want to add, but I can't figure out how to add them. Can someone please help me? Thank you

Talk to the monument with the minis in inventory. At the bottom of a long dialogue box, you'll have the option to add any that aren't already present in the monument. Also note, that monuments have to be first "unlocked" by using a Monumental Tapestry on them. You get them by finishing the EotN mini-storylines, and get one when you reach the HoM. I'm telling you this in case you wanted to add the minis on another character. Then again, if you don't have it "unlocked", just put the minis in the Chest and take them out on another character. Minis get "Dedicated", not "Customized". Anyone can still use them, they jsut can't add them to the HoM anymore. — Poki#3 (talk) 01:24, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Female Necro Elite Cabal armor won't display on HoM

As the title says, for some reason I cannot put up a statue for my elite cabal armor. I am fully aware that it has only four pieces to the set. Wiki says I should be able to display it, so I have no idea what is going on. I have re-equipped the armor multiple times and relogged. Also be sure to review your armor carefully when you've made sure that you have the tapestry up. It is a common practice to mix and match armors, So be absolutely certain that every piece of your armor is from the same set. --Master Briar 06:55, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Also please note that if you have your HoM set to show account-wide accomplishments, and you have another character that put up the tapestry for the armour monument, the tapestry will show up for all of your characters, but only characters that have put the tapestry up in their own HoMs will be able to display armour. Weapons

I'm playing a monk with a mesmer secondary. Am I able to use mesmer weapons,focus items without a penalty?

The only penalty you would have is if the weapon/offhand were Fast Casting, since a monk primary doesn't have access to Fast Casting. -- Wyn talk 14:02, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

u just need to meet the weapon requirements and u will have full stats. eg a monk with a req 7 tactics shield and 7 to tactics will get the full shield bonus, otherwise, stats on equipment get halved.

Only the "base" stats get halved though (the one next to the "Req" tag). That is Damage for weapons, Armor for shields and energy for focus items (more specifically, weapons use the starter weapon damage range). Anything else, inscriptions and other mods, remain the same. That's why often casters walk around with a sword or spear - to take advantage of +5 Energy inscriptions and mods like +20% Enchantment Duration or +30 HP. And since they're casters, they don't attack physically often or at all, so they don't care that they don't meet the requirement and their damage is crap.

Shields warrant attribute investment, but even without it they give an armor boost. If you can manage your energy fine and don't need the extra energy, you can use a shield to have some armor that can make a difference. Focus items are taken for the energy, so there's no reason not to fulfill the requirement and get only half of it. — Poki#3 (talk) 16:03, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

I haven't checked in long enough to be certain, but I believe that weapons use starter stats while off-hand items (shields and foci) use halved stats. I can't be bothered checking, though. –Jette 18:02, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

One word of warning for casters using melee weapons... if you for whatever reason try to attack a foe rather than cast (most often while targeting), you will run right up into their face and become much more vulnerable to physical attack. Mission Completion

How can i see on the city shield , that i have done this mission whit both bonus. For exampel Ruins of surmia i have done it whit both bonus, but ther is only one sword in the sheild??? Hero Pets

Can you tell me how exactly do you equip your Hero Rangers with pets? I tried to put charmed animal on my Hero and flagged them near a pet and I hit it from a distance with my character to turn it aggressive and my Hero didn't charm it! So Badly LOST

I just recently started playing again, after a 2 year break. Im in NF. I have completed the Venta Cemetary Mission. Next on the list was "The Council is Called". I am assuming I have done this because I have the secondary quest "A little Recon", and the prereq. for it is "The council is Called". So next on the list is "To Vabbi".

I go into the command post, and Dunk. has nothing to say. I go back to the consolate, and the Elder has nothing to say. I go to Lonai, and she has nothing to say. I go into the Jahai Bluffs, no one is there. No Nerashi, no Dunk. no one but bad guys.

So, I thought, well, maybe Ive completed that, next was "Centaur Blackmail". There is no centaur at all in the command post.

The map points I have unlocked, oddly enough, are Kodonur Crossroads, Rilohn Refuge, Sunspear Sanc., Dajkah Inlet, Nundu Bay, Yohlon Bay, The Desolation, and Venta Cemetary.

What the heck have I done? Where am I supposed to be? =O Im so beyond lost.... =(

If you haven't already solved this problem, I'd suggest going to Kamadan and seeking out Dockmaster Ahlaro. As well, check your map and look at the symbols for the outposts. The places you have listed, such as Kodonur and Rilohn, can have to different appearances. Take a look at the map icons for Nightfall. If the locations are any of the first set for NF, they they're just outposts, but if they're the first of the second set (in the 2nd table) then they're a Mission outpost that you need to do. This website is just lots of pages about the game Guild Wars. It is here to document the game and help players. If you want to the play you need to actually buy the game and/or get trial access. Most online game shops sell Guild Wars and a lot of high street game shops also sell it. Justiciar Thommis Dungeon

Is there any way I can do the Justiciar Thommis Dungeon quest with hero's and henchman only? My character is a Ranger/Ritualist. Wiki only lists teams with 3 actual players, can it be done any other way? Such as using only one actual player? 99.177.254.78 02:23, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes, you can do all of slaver's with h/h. I'd recommend planting frozen soil, pulling mobs tightly together, and then nuking them to oblivion. I generally go with Searing Flames heroes with glyph sac and meteor shower, maybe some enchant removal and interrupts. Manifold 02:29, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

H/H teams like Discordway are also incredibly effective (although I can't vouch for the team's effectiveness in Thommis's dungeon, presumably it works just as well there as anywhere else). The player doesn't need a particularly special build to make Discordway work (although there are some optimal variants), so it's very nice with professions that maybe aren't well-suited to dealing with large mobs. As a Ranger, you'll have no trouble getting a condition on the foe, so you just need a hex you can spam; the EotN PvE-only skills give you a few options, particularly Asuran Scan. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:38, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

not leveling

Take a look at the page about your character's level. Guild Wars caps the level at 20, but still gives you Skill Points for each time you fill your skill bar. G R E E N E R 08:38, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
