Auriel Fairlight[edit]
Decended from the Druids of Maguuma, Auriel trained under the tutelage of Master Togo at Shing Jea Monastery. Following the defeat of Shiro the Betrayer, she returned to the homeland of her ancient ancestors to discover that they had all but vanished from the earth. Existing only as spirits, the druids have watched over every corner of their jungle realm. They revealed to Auriel the presence of a distant kinsman, Cirian Fairlight, who now resided in the Henge of Denravi. Cirian recounted to Auriel the defeat of Vizier Khilbron, the tale of the Unseen Ones in Kryta and the Searing of Ascalon. He filled her mind with tales of the Dwarves, the dragon Glint, her Forgotten servants in the Crystal Desert, the folly of the Elonian king Turai Ossa and the trials of Ascension. Auriel left the Henge of Denravi with a new sense of purpose; she would wander these lands of Tyria and speak with the spirits she found there. Years later, Nightfall occured. Meeting Cirian once more in Lion's Arch, the Fairlights ventured together to slay the Dark God Abaddon.

Cirian Fairlight[edit]
In the wild borderlands of Ascalon, Cirian Fairlight was born into a family of minor noblity. Regarded by their "civilised" counterparts in the cities as barbarians, the country nobles knew how to hunt their ancestral lands and had the duty of keeping the common people safe from wolves and beasts. The country folk were close to their land and its lore; Cirian was immersed in the wild ways and embraced the sanctity of virtue. For, it is the role of nobles to embody the strength and courage of a race, to be the strong and just arm of their people. When he came of age, Cirian was sent out from his lands to wander and discover the world with his own senses. His family was a strong one, and sons would often not return for many years. And so it was, after a few short years, that Cirian found himself wandering through the gates of Ascalon City on the eve of its destruction. The pleasant land and carefree people charmed him so, and it seemed inconcievable that such an atmosphere could be broken. The Searing marked the beginning of a new chapter in Cirian's life, in which he would escape his shattered homeland for the new land of Kryta. |
[edit]
Engagingly charismatic and a hopeless idealist, Electra Navarre is a high-born noblewoman of Ascalon dedicated to the survival of her people and the majesty of the Five Gods. Upon the destruction of her homeland, she meets Cirian Fairlight among the ruins of Rin on the eve of Prince Rurik's ill-fated journey across the Northern Shiverpeaks. She persuades Cirian to help her protect the exodus of Ascalonian citizens against the centaurs and Stone Summit dwarves on the harsh crossing. She also meets Devona and her companions on the journey, and stays with them upon their eventual arrival in Lion's Arch. Bidding Cirian Fairlight farewell as he continued west with the White Mantle, Electra stayed in North Kryta Province to help Captain Greywind establish the Ascalon Settlement. Ill news arrived from Cirian that took Electra away from the region of Lion's Arch and swept her up in the legend of the Flameseeker Prophecies. Upon the fiery conclusion of the prophecies, Electra returned once more to Lion's Arch, only to hear of a new calamity. Mhenlo, a companion of Devona, had recieved disturbing news from his old tutor in Cantha and begged for aid. Intrigued by stories of the Dragon Empire, Electra set sail for Cantha. |

Parsoon Souzan[edit]
An ardent worshipper of Lyssa dedicated to the beauty of fire. Originally hailing from Vabbi, she has taken residence among the Zaishen Order at the Great Temple of Balthazar. Her name means "Burning Halo of the Moon", the image of a total solar eclipse. Parsoon was found at the Great Temple of Balthazar by Electra Navarre, and they quickly formed an intense friendship based on Lyssa and the pursuit of magic. It was Parsoon who brought Electra over to the beauty of fire and to ultimately study it above all other magic. Electra loved the fierce beauty of fire, and Parsoon loved the fierce beauty of her student. From time to time Electra would leave Parsoon to face the perils that faced the world, but she always returned and with new stories to share. Parsoon would always laugh at these stories, for they didn't really matter to her. She was content to join with the Luxons or the Kurzicks in their everlasting war, and the simple pleasures of searing enemies with her beautiful flames. Parsoon has mastered the magic used by the Ruby Djinn of her native Vabbi, and as fickle as Lyssa herself, Parsoon owes her allegiance only to her goddess and her chaotic ideals. Even so, she has established a strong bond with the charismatic Electra and her companions. |
