Guild Wars Beyond is "an ongoing campaign that expands upon the Guild Wars storyline by focusing on key characters and historical events that shape the world in the years leading up to Guild Wars 2."[1] Produced by the Live Team, game updates will be continuously released over the coming year to help "set the stage" for Guild Wars 2.

War in Kryta[edit]
“The first chapter in Guild Wars Beyond sweeps you up in a savage struggle for control of the land of Kryta with challenging bounty hunts, wartime costumes, and fateful battles! Help Princess Salma and the Shining Blade rebels liberate Kryta from the oppressive White Mantle and their sinister inhuman masters, the Mursaat!
This content is released between april 2010 and juli 2010. To participate one must have access to Guild Wars Prophecies and Guild Wars Eye of the North and have one of those campaigns completed (see List of Prophecies missions and primary quests and List of Eye of the North primary quests).
Hearts of the North[edit]
“Reunite the legendary heroes Gwen and Keiran Thackeray in this all new content that takes place in the aftermath of the War in Kryta. This romantic storyline features new quests, wedding costumes, a norn wedding planner, and special missions where you can play as Keiran himself!
This content is released between november 2010 and december 2010. To participate one must have access to Guild Wars Prophecies and Guild Wars Eye of the North and have one of those campaigns completed (see List of Prophecies missions and primary quests and List of Eye of the North primary quests).

ArenaNet has provided the following information about future additions to Guild Wars Beyond:
- This storyline follows that of Hearts of the North and will take place in Cantha.
- The only requirement to participate will be completion of Guild Wars Factions. [3]
- Other
- Evennia will be part of something larger. [4]
- Gwen will establish Ebonhawke. [5]
- The Lunatic Court will have quests unrelated to other Guild Wars Beyond content. [6]
- John Stumme has stated that his team would like to take GWB to Elona and continue Palawa Joko's story in the future, however there are no firm plans to do so. [7][8]
- There will be "things people are going to be surprised by" that the Live Team will not currently discuss. This update is scheduled for release sometime after Winds of Change. [9]
Excluded content[edit]
The following elements are not officially part of Guild Wars Beyond. Although they go beyond the content of the original campaigns and Eye of the North expansion, some do not help advance the storylines that bridge the gap between GW and GW2.
- Dhuum's return to the Underworld (originally foreshadowed in Halloween 2009 quest chain)
- Embark Beach
- Nicholas the Traveler and Nicholas Sandford
- Lieutenant Langmar
- Zaishen Menagerie
- Zaishen Challenge Quests
- Zinn's Task quest chain (requires owning all games)
