Elections

A few quick questions before the elections get here (I am going to try to ask each sysop and users, who imo deserve it, these questions):

  1. If you were nominated would you accept?
  2. If so, Do you believe that you would make a good bcrat?
  3. Would you be able to make wise choices when it comes to selecting administrators?
  4. Would you be sure to explain your actions when using your powers as a bcrat?
  5. Would you wear you status as a bcrat as a badge?
  6. Would you consider policy before taking any and all actions?
  7. How do feel towards our wikis community?

That should be enough. Thanks! --Shadowphoenix User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 21:26, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Straight up the answer to question one would be no. I much prefer being a sysop and don't envy the position of bureaucrats when it comes to certain arbitration cases. Thank you for the thought though. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 21:33, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Party Animal

I thought about changing the title images as well at first, but then didn't do it as those three title images suited better to {{User Drunkard}}, {{User Sweet Tooth}} and {{User Party Animal}}. At first, i wanted to create a second party animal title with this skill icon, then noticed that there didn't exist one and adapted these three templates to each other, and only added a note about this skill on the party animal page instead. Hence i'd like to revert to the older image, but the current one from Party Time! actually suits better. There would be an icon for Sweet Tooth (the icon from Sugar Rush), but the only problem is that i couldn't think of a drunkard-related skill icon (...except for one i found in gw.dat, which was possibly intended to become a buff like Party Time! for the drunkard title), so it'll be hard to bring back the "unity". :P —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:23, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

What about Image:Sugar Jolt.jpg for Drunkard and Image:Sugar Jolt (Chocolate Bunny).jpg for Sweet Tooth then? :) poke | talk 13:57, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Lol, Sugar Jolt even suits somehow to the Drunkard Title. But that drink merely refers to sweet drinks. Maybe it's an alcopop? xD (hmmm, that would even be an interesting consumable for both titles :P) Btw, i added a link to the other possible drunkard icon i was talking about previously —ZerphatalkThe Improver 19:36, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
That's why I suggested it for Drunkard :P It's obivously a drink ^^ poke | talk 19:37, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Negative

Just wanted to tell you that just because I agree with some of Shadowphoenix's points does not mean I am her sockpuppet. The whole thing on my userpage is a joke, I am not a sock. However, I have been observing this entire situation from a far, starting at the J.Kougar thing and ending with her talk page. I agree that she got over zealous with the friendly warning thing, and she blew somethings out of proportion; but to me she made some excellent points in her discussions about it. Well anywho, thanks for welcoming me (sorta kind of) --Myria83 03:29, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Trophy render naming

As you probably know, at the very beginning of GWW:PR/II, Bex proposed to reupload all the icons as the "icon" word appendage was redundant because of the two diffrent image types. Well, in this case you could reason this statement backwards, so i'd also advice to reupload these images again, leaving the "render" part out. (Oh btw, Coffer of Whispers' render is missing in your list)ZerphatalkThe Improver 02:16, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

The render part of the name was largely irrelevant and I only uploaded it as that as that is what someone made the item template default to look for. I have no preference either way for the nomenclature of the renders though really. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 13:15, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, so nobody would mind if i re-upload all those renders (mentioning both your and Emilies name) and change the template? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:10, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Chart

I think it should be at the odd number percents and not just multiples of 5 :\ — Renuro Seru User Seru Sig2.png Talk 19:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

The reason I rounded to 5's is that in the past most other drop rates for presents has approached 5% multiples as more data was obtained so it followed that this would also. Plus if you combine our data with data collected on guildwiki in the past you also reach these approximate 5% multiple values. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 21:29, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Just wanting your opinion

I noticed that you were the last one to have deleated the F*** THIS WIKI page, but I was able to find it through the pages that needed creation. I am wondering if we should go and kill the links to it so nobody tries to "help" by recreating it again. As of right now, there are 3 pages that link to it. Just wanted to let you know and wanted to ask your opinion on what should be done. Thanks! Amazing Steve User amazing steve - Sig.JPG 19:34, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

I would say it is fine to change the links just to text in the locations where the article is linked too. That shouldn't annoy anyone who wants to preserve the content of the pages, yet remove the entry in the wanted pages list. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 21:25, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
I believe the links were intended to be kept for reference as they are placed in an arbitration case. Instead of removing the link outright, you could change the link so it points to the deletion log entry for the page; that will take it out of wantedpages, but still lead to the relevant reference point. --User Brains12 Spiral.png Brains12 \ talk 22:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
To do that, use [{{fullurl:Special:Log/Delete|page=<PAGETITLE>}} linkname] where <PAGETITLE> is the page title (with underscores instead of spacings). poke | talk 23:57, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Some image changes I made

Heya. I just wanted to drop you a note. I know you are big on cropping excess white space from images, but I wanted to draw your attention to the changes I made to the Hero Armor images so you won't do that. I resized pretty much all of them so that they are at least consistent sizes for each hero to facilitate ease of use in tables etc. For some of them this meant adding white space. You can see the results here. I personally think it not only looks better, but it makes it much easier to get them displayed evenly in galleries etc. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 14:44, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Most of the cropping I did was a while ago, and I only did the ones that were really extreme cases in the galleries really to make them more visible. The uniformity you have got to looks nice :) --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 14:46, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

speedy del tag

do articles really have to be deleted in such cases? I wanted to change the description to something reasonable. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 22:26, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

well it is not a game term, the game weapons are either Peppermint Weapons or Wintergreen Weapons which are usually both encompassed under Candycane Weapons, there are no wintersday weapons, and I have never heard either referred to as such in game. So at best it could be a redirect I guess. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 22:32, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Well i wasn't sure whether "Candycane Weapon" or "Wintergreen Weapon" is mentioned ingame. (Yet "Wintergreen Weapons" are mentioned on the official page afaik). But in that case it should become a redirect to the official therm with capital letters, right. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 22:36, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I think it should be lower case weapon like Category:Wintergreen weapons and Category:Candy Cane weapons. They are never strictly grouped together in an official term I don't believe, but they are the prefixes of them at least and they are never referred to anywhere as wintersday weapons. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 22:39, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
