"Not up to date" template?

Is there any template/tag that can be added when you have doubts about a page being up to date? Tried searching the templates, but couldn't find one (i could swear i saw one not long ago).--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Fighterdoken .

Not to sure about that, I know there is one for things that have been removed from the game, such as Evade. I'll be sure to keep a lookout for that kind of Template for ya though.--§ Eloc § 04:18, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

In the toolbox on Recent Changes, it says RSS & Atom. By clicking on them, it seems they both lead to the same feeds page. Is there a difference between the two?--§ Eloc § 16:11, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

They're slightly different formats for the same thing. If you are viewing through a feed reader you won't see a difference, but if you examine the page source you'll see the differences. --Valshia 16:37, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

hi

were do i find prices on weapons and mini pets on the site

The Guild Wars Wiki does not list trade prices for items as they are not fixed and subject to rapid change, something that the wiki is not designed to document. Your best bet is to check trade forums or sites, such as those on some of the elite fansites. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 07:12, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Creating new pages

I have recently switched to this wiki from the gameswiki site, and would like to work on creating a quick access links page much like that one. I just can't figure out how to create a new page, or get it included in the navigation pane. I am familiar with editing existing pages. --Wynthyst 10:01, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

To create a new page, simply navigate to what its URL would be in the address bar: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Page_name_here - it should prompt you saying that the page does not exist and give you a link to edit it if you'd like to create it. As for having it included in the nav panel, that would involve editing a page that is protected such that only sysops can edit it - once you have a page that you think should be included, ask a sysop about it, or ask on Guild Wars Wiki Talk:Community Portal. Alignment

To align left, do I do <left></left> or <align left></align left>? Also, does alignment work on templates?--§ Eloc § 15:39, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

You can try <div align="left"></div> or style="text-align:left;". -- ab.er.rant sig 15:57, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Would that work on something like Archive box?--§ Eloc § 16:01, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Don't think so. The archive box is styled to float to the right side of the page. -- ab.er.rant sig 16:34, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
It wouldn't, unless you took the coding from the template, then put it on your talk page added/changed the alignment. Calor - talk 18:48, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

I looked but i don't understand anything. I'm not any kinda pro in coding

and this is the image i would like to get to my nicname: Main Event.png This always just go to page of image, not to my talk page, where i tryed to link it and i need to resize it.

OK, I sorted it out for you, but you still need to do a little thing. Go to My Preferences at the top of the screen. Click the box near "Raw signatures (without automatic link)", then enter this in the Nickname box - User:Jope12. That will result in Jope12User Jope12 sigicon.png. They will redirect to your userpage. When you want to enter your signature in on talk pages, just enter ~~~~ and it will come up. Thanks! But one thing: Can I link my image to send viewer to my talk page? - Jope12 User talk:Jope12 13:09, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Ok, done that. If you want to redirect it back to your User page, just click on on the image, go to edit and you should see #redirect User talk:Jope12 and then change it to User:Jope12. But for the time being, it redirects to your talk page. User-brains12-sigicon3.png br12 ~ 13:33, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

That article doesn't say ANYTHING about actually MAKING an image, it just says what you can and can't have as an image. Just out of curiosity, how do you make an image into those icons for your signature? Silavor 22:23, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Upload the image you want to use (via Special:Upload). All they are is a resized image - you can resize an image in any image editing software from MS Paint to Photoshop. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 22:29, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

You need to put those two together, we can't have a help document for each and every special case. To get an image to your signature, write this in the nickname field in Special:Preferences and check "Raw signature": Silavor. Then upload the image you want under the name "User Silavor sig.jpg". - anja talk 16:28, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

stubs and image needed categories

Does an article need to be discussed before having a stub tag removed if it has all of the info required based on the formatting guidelines, or can anyone remove the tag if they see that the article is up to par?
Second question, I noticed that several of the pages listed in the Category:Image_needed page already have images uploaded. I take it that this list does not update automatically. Is it the responsibility of the uploader to also remove the page from that list? Does anyone mind if I go through and check them and remove those that already have all the needed images? Mohnzh 05:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Question one: If you feel that a page conforms to all the standards in GWW:FORMAT, then go ahead and unstub it. IF another user feels it is still a stub, a discussion likely begins on the talk page. Question two: We're not the Jetsons. It doesn't automatically update, so if it has all the images needed as required in GWW:FORMAT, then take out the image needed template. It's not the responsibility of the uploader, just the usual reader that sees it first, because some uploaded files are automatically added to the page if the template's parameter requires an image, and there isn't one yet, and an image name follows the format of what's needed. For example, if Barrage needed an image, and somebody uploaded Barrage.jpg, then the file would automatically be added where red link for Barrage.jpg is on the article. If that made sense. And lastly, go ahead and take away the stub and image needed templates if they're not needed any longer. Calor - talk 06:23, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism

Why do intentional vandals and gibber bots exist?User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 20:15, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

because ppl want to keep us busy? or someone's frequently testing whether he's getting better at programming and makes us his victim? - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 20:26, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
The gibber bots are likely to see what editing rights they have, to linkspam later if they're not blocked. But considering it's only happening here (me thinks), somebody got just slightly unhappy with the game, and happens to have access to an open proxy and feels like pucnhing the keyboard after pressing Random Page. As for the intentional vandals, that's like asking "Why are there bullies on elementary schools?" A million nonsensical answers, only the intentional vandal really knows. Bullies bully for fun and profit. Raptors knows his kind. He's right, vandals are just like all criminals, they are ppl who for some reason (fun, profit, etc) want to do things that socialy established rules forbid and punish. So, they like doing it, we don't like them doing it. It's just a matter of taste.User Ereanor sig.jpgreanor 04:03, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, some research has shown that bullies bully because they're insecure. Maybe there's a specific psychological condition with vandals? Something that anonymity on the internet allows them to do that they would be unable to do in real life. Or, just people who are bored and getting kicks out of the wrong things. -- ab.er.rant sig 04:52, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I would think, if someone's got access to a dynamic IP, a good target, and the fact that they're anonymous online, the feeling of power is hard to resist. You feel untouchable, and being able to change your IP and get around bans makes you feel better then everyone else ("haha, I can't be stopped!"). Generally, I don't think there's much other reasoning behind it; they're just some user who doesn't care for the Wiki itself, maybe doesn't even play the game, just sees an official website, and thinks they're awesome because they can do so much "damage" to such a big thing. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 08:44, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

a request

Since I couldn't find anywhere to place any suggestions/request, I will place this here (if you know a more correct place for this to be, please move this to that place)

In relation to the recent updates of skills, I was wondering if it would be possible to make a list on the skill pages, showing the old effects of the skills, since I often find myself wondering what a skill did before an update, and I think it would be nice to see how the skills have changed over time. Symphy 16:19, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

While you get a proper answer, you can use the history tab to check all the changes an article has received; at least that would allow you to check the changes to the skills from this wiki (or the article) creation. --Fighterdoken 16:23, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Documenting client-side bug

Just curious, because i have seen it a few times (and now with the 1rr will be hard to fight XD). Is it needed to document the client-side bug where a random foe-npc is displayed with the name/level of a tameable (sp?) pet in zones where they exist? I have seen several users trying to add this as zone-specific bugs/notes, when it is a game-wide client-side only bug, as far as i know at least. Or it's just a GuildWiki user who thought it fun to set up an automated bot to vandalize pages. Or just some prankster. The more official something is, the more visible it gets. So it's naturally a better magnet for people who find disruption fun. -- ab.er.rant sig 01:01, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure someone has asked this question before. — Eloc 03:27, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Let's not forget, GuildWarsWiki is under the almighty "official" title, so it's easier to get at for non-players. GuildWiki has a few vandals as well, which are generally dealt with quickly; but GuildWiki is still a fansite, despite it's size, and probably not nearly as enticing a target as this one. People like "sticking it to the man", and the more damage they can do to anything official, the better they feel. Do you think vandals on Wikipedia last more then five minutes? Probably not, but the whole reason people attack it is because it's an "achievement" if you can manage any damage against such an official and well-known site. (even if they could do more damage by throwing water balloons at a brick wall.) --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:30, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

There's really not much of a difference between having content on a single subpage or multiple subpages - most bots don't scan user pages, so it doesn't create more work there, and any list that includes such pages generally isn't often referenced. Reviewing Articles

Once I have edited an article, how do a flag it to tell someone that it needs reviewed? How do I search for articles that others have edited and need reviewed? Thanks Tsafran 18:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

The various Stub templates or the cleanup template should be used for that purpose. These automatically place articles into categories which can be viewed to see what needs work (e.g. Category:Stubs) --Thervold 18:46, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
If by review, you are having Wikipedia's review process in mind, then we don't actually have a review process. Most of the more active editors make use of the watchlist and the recent changes to patrol edits. If you would really like some opinion on a particular issue, try leaving a message on the relevant talk page or GWW:RFC. -- ab.er.rant sig 09:49, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Editing other userpages

For the sake of cleaning up a little the wanted pages list... Is it allowed to edit other user's userpages in order to remove broken links? I mean, adding the link to the article it was supposed to point. (ie. ancient to ancient).--Fighterdoken 05:30, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

See GWW:USER#Ownership. You can perform an edit on someone else's user page for maintenance purposes (such as fixing broken links) but you need to doubly careful about. Fix only the really obvious ones. Some users might be touchy about other people editing their user space. -- ab.er.rant sig 05:56, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
And removing pages from incorrect categories also qualifies as a maintenance edit, correct? It's fairly common for people to mistakenly add category tags to their page when copy+pasting items of interest to their userspace... --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 14:49, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, but with categories, it's best to try and explain why you removed them, perhaps they don't understand what those categories are for. Helping new users rename and reupload their user images is fine too. -- ab.er.rant sig 00:42, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

(Reset indent) :Erh... ok, i did it without thinking first, so asking before i proceed further. There are several links on talk pages that point to deleted articles/images or proposed categories that where never implemented. Would be fine to replace them with a code tag instead of the link, when the discutions are old enough (like in 1 month old)? Those 10800+ missing pages are starting to get scary...--Fighterdoken 05:14, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Broken section links on Recent Changes

When someone edits a section on a page the summary provides a link to that section by default. On certain pages this link shows up with a '.7D.7D' at the end, example: 1. Why does it do this? I think it might be connected to page length since Izzy's balance pages seem the main sources of this issue for me. Also, does this occur for anyone else? Before anyone asks, I'm using the Firefox. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 15:38, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

It is because link or template code is used in the heading. Cry of Pain Is what's written in the heading, so the software tries to reach the heading through those symbols. Problem is, it's a template, so that's not what's visible on the page = broken. (Uh, if that wasn't confusing, you're great ;) ) Iirc, the same problem comes with wikilinks. The text in the edit window shows [[ but the text in the article is just a link, no brackets. - anja talk 16:16, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I'm guessing .7B is the code for { and .7D is the code for } so #.7B.7Bskill_icon.7CCry_of_Pain.7D.7D is a link to the section called #. Biscuits User Biscuits sig.png 16:01, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Add guild cape to guild page

Hi, having just set up a shiny new Guild page for my Guild, I see a line at the top of our info box saying something like [guild cape.jpg], and thought 'what a good idea'. However, having checked all the FAQ's I could find (and sorry if this is an FAQ and I missed it) I couldn't find out where you can get your Guild's cape pic from to set it up on the page. Can anyone tell me how to access it from the game as a jpg, tiff or anything else? Thank you! Funnel Weib 06:43, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you know how to take screenshots or not, but all that you need to do is hit print screen after you've figured how how you want your guild cape to be displayed. It varies by keyboard, but it should be around the upper right section of it between the letters and number pad. For a laptop, you'll probably need to hit the function key too.
You should get a message in game telling you where the file is. If you're using Vista and haven't changed the compatability settings, it'll be in Users -> username -> Documents -> Guild Wars. Open up a basic program like Microsoft Paint and crop the image by using the selection tools and delete and/or moving around the image and dragging the edges of the active area (white space/space w/ your screenshot). Save the file as a JPEG. Click on the red image link on your guild page File:Guild The Grim Leapers cape.jpg to upload it. If you're still having trouble with it, I could probably meet you in game and take care of it for you :P ~ User PaeSig.gif | Pae - Talk | 08:05, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Funnel Weib, you need to take your own in-game screenshot of your guild cape. We don't actually provide any images. The screenshot by default would be .jpg. See also Screenshot. -- ab.er.rant sig 09:51, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

How do I change my guild cape image

Hi, I’m trying to change the current cape used by my guild wiki page to something else. The original cape was just something quickly thrown together the new one has more work put into it.

I’ve attempted to update the img, re-uploading the new img, and I’m afraid this simply spammed the upload area with the same img.

I really would like to just change the image to the new cape and haven’t been able to find any reference for instructions on doing this. Please Help. ---Redfren1:32mst Dec 7 2007

Use the upload a new version of this image link. If you're talking about Image:Guild Akumas Knights cape.jpg then the URL is http://wiki.guildwars.com/index.php?title=Special:Upload&wpDestFile=Guild_Akumas_Knights_cape.jpg. -- Gordon Ecker 08:46, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

You're not supposed to. As per GWW:IMAGE, Image:Guild_Akumas_Knights_cape.jpg is the correct name for your guild's cape. If you want to replace it, simply click the image, and click on "Upload a new version of this file". Don't be alarmed that the image you uploaded doesn't seem to show up. It's just a caching issue so your browser will still temporarily show you the old version of the image. Someone had made a list of good userpages on the wiki somewhere, I'll go track it down... generally, just code your own userpage with stuff you need, take a look through the User Templates category, there's a bunch of nifty things in there (saw a few character bios templates, a user info template, and a bunch of userboxes). If you see coding you like on another user's page, hit the Edit button and look at the coding; try to figure out how they made theirs, and learn from it. If you like, you can generally copy the coding as well, although it's nice if you ask first and leave credit on your own userpage.

That's how I made my page, as a matter of fact; I found out how to make tables from another user a long time ago, learned how to add rounded edges and more colors from another user, copied some formatting I found on a normal article, and so on until I got to what I have now. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:56, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Value City. It's a department store chain. I believe 68.40.161.15 made this question jokingly; the time that Value City closes is in no way related to this Wiki, or any Wiki whatsoever.
But, for future reference, the store hours are generally Sun 11am-7pm, Mon-Thurs 10am-9pm, Fri-Sat 10am-9:30pm (with store-based exceptions, of course), and you can check store locations and hours via Value City's Store Locator. Tables and indents by colon sign

Hi. I'm still very new to editing on wikis and I'm having difficulty setting a table's indent to proper indent. At my character User:Woop/Simon The Dark One, I have my account-wide title progress inserted, and it isn't indented like I think it should be. To help with this on the titles below, I wrapped them into a table. So, I tried to do the same thing with the account-wide titles, which is located at User:Woop/Account-wide_titles.

I put a colon before the table which is inserted into the page. If anyone who is familiar with wiki can help, I'd appreciate it very much. it's doing nothing but frustrating me right now. Woop 02:49, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Try indenting it with an asterisk (*), and you'll see why it's not working; the userbox/template just eats the indents. Templates and whatnot generally can't be indented properly for this very reason; simply wrap a table around it, just like your other userboxes, and you shouldn't have problems. The table can be moved about as you like from that point on. Using a <div> tag might also work, that's almost the same as a table as far as formatting, and is great if you need to align an object to the left or right (the coding for that is <div align="left">content</div>, I believe). Tables are generally the best option though, I use them in almost all my formatting. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:57, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Tables? People use those still? lol. j/k. While they are great for quick and dirty layout and data presentation, divs are actually the xhtml standard for layout (coupled with css). -elviondale (tahlk) 03:30, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

As for good professions for Mesmer, it's really personal preference, but there are some nice options...
Monk secondary is good because it lets you bring a resurrection skill, and perhaps a heal spell if you need one. Mesmers with their Fast Casting attribute are great with Monk resurrection spells, because they can resurrect other players much faster.
Necromancer has lots of hexes, if you're going for a heavy health-degeneration setup, there's a lot of good options in there.
Elementalist spells are always better when they cast faster, although I wouldn't rely on that to much; you'll end up being a faster, but weaker Elementalist, when you could just make an Elementalist. :P
What else? I think that's everything I know off the top of my head; myself, I rarely even use any skills other then my Mesmer skills, so the secondary isn't too important. I think Monk is a good one to start with, you can always change it later on, when you've got more skills and whatnot to play around with. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:39, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I believe Poke was working on something like that, but not sure if he achieved it. --Talk br12(talk) 16:16, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
iirc, it was collapsible tables. -- ab.er.rant sig 16:43, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
yeah its collapsible tables, they work fine in a sandbox (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:Fusa/Sandbox) but just not in a user page :/ FUSA (Talk) 17:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Isn't hidden divs against policy? lol. Thats retarded imo.. What about including the page in your user page? like... adding where you want it to be -elviondale (tahlk) 18:04, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah I tried editing the sandbox, also tried creatign a new page, but except for the above example the tables do not have the option to show/hide, strange that it worked that one time. Also I didn't see anything about no hidden divs in the policy. FUSA (Talk) 18:33, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Check out [4], however its a) not quite what I remember it being and b)no longer part of the policy. -elviondale (tahlk) 04:27, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Please help starting up my user page!

I am new to wiki, and to learn how to create a wiki-page I wanted to make my user page first, later then maybe a guild page as soon as I understand, how wiki-page-editing works. Can't anyone help me with an EASY introduction - I'm a complete n00b in doing HTML & co myself... --Aquila Noctis 13:25, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

The cool thing is you don't need HTML, checkout the sandbox. Click your username above and edit your own page. Your talk page comes in handy too. If there's anything else your stuck on click here and ask me. :) RT | Talk - A joyous wintersday to all 13:28, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
One of the easiest ways to figure things out is to look at the user pages of other people - click on anyone's user page, and if you see something they have that you like, click the Edit tab above to look at the wikitext that made the page. As long as you don't save your changes to their page, you can easily see how they did something; if you're not sure how something works, try asking them. :) Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 16:25, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

As you all can see if you click on my name, I managed to create an User Page. Next thing to think abouut woulld be a Guild page... But for now, I can do all I want to do. Thanx for all your help --Aquila Noctis 19:10, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

That was your first attempt? Wow - very nice! --SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 22:05, 25 December 2007 (UTC)#

Thanx! Well, I had a look at the Code of some other users (don't know who it was anymore), and figured out to read them, and then I combined the bits and that came out... --Aquila Noctis 10:31, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Need help finding an icon...

Does anyone know what a Fleur de Lilly is? It's a symbol mostly associated with the American Football team, The Saints; the Boy Scouts; and French culture. Anyways, I'd like to find that image if it's here, or have someone help me upload it in a size perfect for user boxes for my Guild: Instruments Of Truth. Thanks! People of Antioch 03:06, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

I know the picture, and it's not on the wiki. I'll search for one, however. Calor (t) 03:07, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Here's a good one: This. Calor (t) 03:08, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Ooh! This is a good one, thanks. How small should I make this image for a user box? People of Antioch 03:28, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah, another thing, I'd like it to be a fair blue. Though I couldn't figure out how to do it from my art programs. Also, I have shrunk it to about 46x46 pixels, took a look at the boxes myself. People of Antioch 03:35, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Microsoft Paint should be able to manage it, simply use the fill tool on anything that's black, and make sure to save as .jpg format. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:48, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Image:Fleur.jpg Didn't take long. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 05:55, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Oh, wait, that name has to be changed soon, I'll take it and rename it. Thanks! People of Antioch 05:56, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome to take it and reupload it for guild use. I'll leave the other one as it is in case anyone wants to use it in a general sense. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 06:37, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Is it released under GFDL? — Eloc 08:26, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
By definition, since it was uploaded to the wiki without a specific altenative license it would generally be considered GFDL. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 09:00, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Okay, as for the icon, since I want to use it as a Guild User Box (ie. this user is a member of...), do I classify it as a "Guild Image"? Also, while I'm on the subject, how does one customize a user box for said purpose?

No, because it's used in your userspace. And I've forgotten how to make userboxes, ask Eloc. He's the Master of All Userboxes. Calor (t) 00:47, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
LoL, first off, try looking at Userbox — Eloc 01:39, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Okay, so it has to be defined as a "User Image". Got it. I'm going to Google up Color hex codes then, if anyone doesn't already know a better way to get some. Thanks again. People of Antioch 05:17, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Would this help? Eloc 05:39, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Though that helps, I like this better. Use that one, it's a good resource. By the way, here's the finished product:

Hope you like it! People of Antioch 05:50, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

Looks very nice. — Eloc 06:50, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

So that you know in the future, it is actually called a "fleur de lis," or alternatively "fleur de lys."Woop 08:43, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

How do I align?

How do I align various items? On my User page, I have user boxes that won't line up after one another. An explanation would help. Thanks again. People of Antioch 03:53, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

You might try using a table, or if you just want a single column list, just put line breaks (<br>) after each box. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 04:12, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
I got this...
User Boxes!
en-N English is my native language.

User Nian Dwayna.jpg This user is a devoted follower of Dwayna's teachings.
Male.png This user is Male.
Vista-icon.png This user is a Windows gamer.

But I still have to use several breaks to force the Dwayna's follower down. Any ideas on how to be more efficient?People of Antioch 04:43, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Use multiple rows of userboxes, like so: (hit edit to check the code if you need to)
User Boxes!
en-N English is my native language.
Male.png This user is Male.
User Nian Dwayna.jpg This user is a devoted follower of Dwayna's teachings.
Vista-icon.png This user is a Windows gamer.

That way each box is neatly placed into the proper grid position in the table. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 05:28, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
You can also use clear to force a new line. -- Gordon Ecker 05:21, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Note that using a table without any settings for border, cellspacing, or cellpadding will basically just align the contents, without any edges standing out. I use tables on my own page for all the alignments, for example. --User Jioruji Derako logo.png Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:45, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Categories - User:x under U instead of X

In all Category listings User:Woop is under U instead of W. Can someone tell me what I should do so that my name goes to W in all Category listings as it should? Thanks.Woop 08:35, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

add to your user page anywhere above the categories. -Smurf 08:39, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Thank you very much. Just what I needed.Woop 08:45, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
