Below is a list of henchmen that I thought of and decided to post. Please feel free to leave comments, criticisms, suggestions, etc. |
Tia (Snare Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Can effectively hold multiple targets in place, which allows nukers to perform their jobs more effectively.
- Has healing and energy manangement skills.
Cons
- Low damage output.
- Low armor rating.
Rarek (Spiritworld Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Spirits have a relatively high damage output.
- Is able to self-heal through Vampirism.
- Spirits become "mobile" with Summon Spirits.
- Ideally spams spirits using Ritual Lord.
- Can use Restoration for mass resurrection.
Cons
- Relies on spirits for damage.
- Has no energy management.
- Low armor rating.
Dior (Reaper Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Can cripple enemies.
- Uses a scythe to damage multiple targets.
- Relatively high damage output.
- Can remove enemy enchantments with Grenth's Aura.
- Has healing and energy management skills.
Cons
- Cannot cover the crippling caused by Grenth's Grasp.
- Grenth's Grasp causes Dior to deal cold damage instead of slashing damage. This may or may not be a problem in different areas.
Brant (Archer Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- High damage output.
- Has an IAS skill.
- Has a self-heal.
- Can manage energy through Prepared Shot.
- Can use Disrupting Shot for interruption.
Cons
- Has no condition-causing skills.
- Doesn't have a skill that increases critical hit rate. This limits Keen Arrow's effectiveness.
- Prepared Shot is slightly redundant with Expertise.
Kayte (Smite Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Very strong group healing.
- Can remove conditions and hexes.
Cons
- Weak single-target healing.
- No energy management.
- Low armor rating.
- Cannot remove conditions and hexes from self.
Mikall (Protector Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Has many useful Protection Prayers skills.
- Can manage the high energy cost of Shield of Regeneration with Divine Spirit.
- Can remove conditions and hexes.
- Can remove 2 hexes at once while Divine Spirit is recharging (Deny Hexes counts itself as a recharging skill.)
Cons
- Cannot heal; only protects.
- Will have trouble managing energy if Divine Spirit is disabled.
- Renew Life might not be considered as good as Resurrection Chant or Rebirth by some players.
- Low armor rating.
Reese (Sand Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Can cause high AoE damage with Sandstorm, Churning Earth, and Eruption.
- Churning Earth is especially useful in Hard Mode because all enemies have an innate speed boost.
- Can defend the party with Ward Against Melee.
- Has a healing skill and two energy management skills.
Cons
- No single-target damage skills.
- AoE Earth Magic skills might not be considered as useful as AoE Fire Magic skills by some players.
- Low armor rating.
Penny (Mallet Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Very high damage output.
- Can gain extra adrenaline with Mokele Smash, "For Great Justice!", and Lion's Comfort.
- Has a self-heal.
Cons
- Relies on weakness for bonuses from all attacks except Mokele Smash (consider enchanting her with Withering Aura).
- Lion's Comfort is not as effective at healing as Healing Signet.
- Doesn't use a shield.
- Hammers attack slowly.
- Will knock herself down if Forceful Blow is blocked.
Alexis (Critical Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Has a high critical hit ratio because of Way of the Assassin.
- Will cover Way of the Assassin with Way of Perfection.
- Manages health with Way of Perfection and manages energy with Critical Strike.
- Can defend herself with Critical Defenses.
Cons
- Attack chain is useless if not enchanted (Golden Phoenix Strike requires an enchantment).
Felgo (Spear Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Can inflict bleeding, crippling, and dazed.
- Can interrupt enemy actions with Disrupting Throw.
- Has an IAS skill.
- Can keep up Aggressive Refrain indefinitely with Anthem of Flame.
- Has a self-heal.
- Has a hard res.
Cons
- Cannot inflict bleeding or crippling on non-fleshy foes (Maiming Spear requires the target to be bleeding).
- The cracked armor caused by Aggressive Refrain lowers his armor rating to 60.
- Stunning Strike has a high adrenaline cost, and Aggressive Refrain has a high energy cost. Felgo has no management for either.
Lyle (Cursed Henchman) [edit]
Pros
- Possesses multiple AoE hexes.
- Can heal himself with Feast of Corruption and Signet of Lost Souls.
- Supports the party's damage dealers with Mark of Pain.
- Signet of Lost Souls provides excellent energy management.
- Suffering pressures enemies and can also be used for the benefit of Feast of Corruption.
Cons
- No single-target damage skills.
- All spells have a high energy cost, and Signet of Lost Souls might not always be enough to keep Lyle's energy up.
- Meekness requires a health sacrifice.
