[edit] Walkthrough

After talking with Kilroy, you are transported to Fronis Irontoe's Lair and your skills will be replaced with the Dwarven Brawling subset (except Combo Punch is missing in normal mode, however available in hard mode). Kilroy Stonekin will be fighting along side you and spamming his "Kilroy Stonekin" shout, recharging your time based skills quickly. Make your way through the Stone Summit one by one.

At one point, you'll come across an entire room of Stone Summit, but they only turn hostile two or three at a time. Just focus on one target at a time (preferably the one being targeted by Kilroy Stonekin), as defeating a foe will refill some of your health. If you are defeated, try to STAND UP!. Kilroy may be defeated, but he will revive when no foes are around.

Towards the end of the cave, you will run across Fronis Irontoe and an Enslaved Ettin. You only need to kill Fronis to finish the quest, however, it is much more difficult to kill Fronis Irontoe with the Enslaved Ettin attacking you all of the time, so be advised to kill the Enslaved Ettin before moving on to Fronis Irontoe. Slaying Fronis Irontoe for the first time will earn you 500 Dwarf reputation points in normal mode, however, 750 in Hard Mode. Every successive run thereafter will earn you 100 Dwarf reputation points in normal, and 150 in Hard Mode. Once you have slain Fronis Irontoe, Fronis Irontoe's Chest will appear. Upon opening it, you will recieve either a Dwarven Ale, or an Aged Dwarven Ale. In Hard Mode, the chest will reward you with either 2 Dwarven Ales, 2 Aged Dwarven Ales, or 1 of each.

[edit] Dialogue

[edit] Initial dialogue

Kilroy Stonekin

"Now that yer knuckles are dirty, it's time to put those skills to good use. Fronis Irontoe, the brother of a particular Stone Summit I loathe, has set up camp nearby. He's commanding a pack of no good filthy fighters. Take a wiff. Can you smell 'em? Let's give our fists a workout those Stone Summit hooligans will never forget!"
Accept: "You're insane, Kilroy. I love it."
Decline: "You're insane, Kilroy. I'm not going anywhere with you."
When asked about quest: "You will be removed from the party to join Kilroy in an brass-knuckled assault on Fronis Irontoe's Lair. Are you ready?"
Image:Tick green.png "Let's do it."
No "Not now."

[edit] Intermediate dialogue

[edit] At start

Kilroy Stonekin

"I haven't seen Fronis in a long time. I can't wait to introduce him to my friends."

Stone Summit (quote)

"Holy frozen beards, that's Kilroy Stonekin!"

Stone Summit (quote)

"Kilroy? How in the name of the Great Destroyer did you find us up here?"

Stone Summit (quote)

"Kilroy Stonekin! I still owe him money. Run for it!"
[edit] On meeting Fronis

Fronis Irontoe

"Kilroy Stonekin, ya son of a Yakslapper! I don't know how you made it this far, but I'm happy to be the one to bury you."

Kilroy Stonekin

"Allow me to introduce you to my friends. Lefty, Righty, give our friend Fronis a proper welcome!"

[edit] Stone Summit battle quotes

"Get 'em!"
"Fight back, cowards!"
"It's time to say goodnight, Kilroy!"
"Mahgma Said Knock You Out"
"Say Goodbye To Your Teeth!"

[edit] Reward dialogue

Kilroy Stonekin

"Did ya see the look on their faces when we crashed their party, fists-a-flailin'? I've not had a better time in years! Good fightin', <player name>! I need to go ice down my fists now. I suggest you do the same."

[edit] Notes

  • Each run will get you 8572 experience in normal mode, and 26026 in hard mode (using Scrolls of Adventurer's Insight and including the quest reward). The dungeon takes about 8-9 minutes to complete, making it a relatively safe and fast way to work towards higher tiers of Survivor (Just don't forget to map out if you aren't sure you can refill your energy in time using 'STAND UP!').
  • It takes 46 Hard Mode runs to get from level 20 (140 600xp) to Legendary Survivor (1 337 500xp) using Scrolls of Adventurer's Insight and including the quest reward each round.
  • After accepting the reward, the quest won't be available again until you zone out then back again. Another method to re-activate the quest is to accept "Kilroy's Punchout Tournament". No matter whether you win or lose, 'Kilroy Stonekin's Punch-Out Extravaganza!' becomes active again.
  • If Kilroy delivers the final hit to an enemy, it will give you experience, but not renew experience scrolls.
  • Using a Birthday Cupcake in this mission will not raise your maximum health or energy, but will increase your movement speed.
  • In Normal Mode, the Stone Summit Dwarves have 80 health, in Hard mode they have 200 health.
  • In Hard Mode, your maximum health is 600 instead of 500, enemies give you +300 health upon being slain instead of the normal +200, and enemy Rangers don't use Broad Head Arrow.
  • This quest is extremely good for lower levels to get to level 20, the EXP (as stated above) is good and doing this 5 - 7 times will give you a nice boost in the way of reaching the maximum level
  • Standard attacks don't affect you, only skills.
  • Kilroy is affected by standard attacks.
  • Kilroy does not gain +300hp after a monster is killed, so to keep him alive, make sure you lead the way.
Bug Bug.
Sometimes the chest will spawn inside the wall. This may cause the item dropped by the chest (as the chest may be reachable) to drop inside the wall. In this event do the following: leave the item on the ground, complete the dungeon and wait the 3 minutes for the game to send you back to Gunnar's Hold. The item will then appear in a loot-window.
  • This run will also get you a fair bit of gold for the time it takes, and can often provide, assuming you sell all loot, collect the reward and salvage runes from armor to sell (a dwarf in one chamber usually drops quality runed armor), anything from 1000 to 3000 gold each time.
  • Resigning after opening the chest will say that you failed the quest even though you can still collect the reward from Kilroy.
  • Summoning Stones cannot be used during this quest.
