- The damage is dealt by the caster, not the target, which means it can trigger skills such as Pain Inverter.
- Saccers are known to use Signet of Agony, Dark Aura, and Contagion to force trigger Death Nova by sacrificing oneself to death.
- Consider using this skill with Putrid Flesh on allied minions.
- This enchantment is also present as an environment effect in the fourth chamber of the Dragon's Lair. Both foes and allies are enchanted; however, the effect is quite weak (equal to 0 Death Magic).
Trivia[edit]
- In alpha this skill used the same icon as it does today. The icon used during beta did not see further in-game appearances.
- During early alpha, this skill functioned like a hex which dealt 20 damage to all nearby creatures when the target died, similar to Putrid Bile and Icy Veins today. It was classified as a "Necromancer Debuffing Skill" and used to cost 10 energy.
